Hi Guys,
Is there any way to disable dpad/wheel while on call or any way to change the default wheel action when pressed during call in a Windows Mobile Phone (v6.1)
Thing is my phone ASUS P320, puts call on Hold if the wheel gets pressed in between a call....which accendently happens a lot with me, since the wheel click on this phone is pretty soft too ...
Regards,
well?
no one?

Hello,
Does anyone can recommend how can I lock hardware buttons on the front of my Cingular 8125 while it is locked? Even though that I am using the Device Lock app, the hardware buttons are still active when someone calls to me. As a result when I hear the ring and am rushing to get my phone from the pouch, those “Answer” or “Ignore” buttons getting pressed and the phone answers the incoming call by itself. Is any way to lock these buttons as well?
Regards
Try this

Thank you very much.
Is there a way to disable touch keys when answering the phone ?
Right now when the phone ring, accidentally touching the screen may abort the call.

Get SU2U... it solves all the problems
SU2U looks nice but is useless in this case
The phone answering window appears above the SU2U lock.
HTC touch cruise is the first to have this problem because the screen is not sunken like in the older models. So when the phone ring is verry easy to accidentally touch Answer or Ignore soft buttons.
got the same annoying effect but with the scroll wheel.
use the s2u2 slide2answer option.
That way you dont accidently hit the answer button. you have to slide to answer....hence the name lol.
You rock !!
Thank you ! You rock man!
Hi all,
After a phone call i often see that a lot of programms has been launched accidentally due to the contact between my ear and the touch screen.

Lol, my ear once accepted another incoming call from this girl that I was avoiding for ages... and I didn't even realise I was talking to her, thought it was my other mate.

Ouch!
If i'm not wrong, S2U2 can turn display off during a call. Great software!
I've tried two progs more: PhoneScreenLock and InesoftAddressBook.
Inesoft provide many features including display switch off during a call.
Phonescreenlock keep the display on showing info about the call, locking the screen.. but with long conversation you may frie your ear
Bye

Any updates on this one please? I have the same problem with running gazillion apps on my Polaris with my ear in call as benjb did.
Tried PhoneScreenLock - did not work well for me because its buggy (the lock screen pretty often appears somewhere BELOW the in-call buttons or start menu and needs to be switched to via closing in-call screen, which obviously renders it useless).
The InesoftAddressBook is not an option either, cause I already have other address book app and would like to stick with it (BTW my current address book has "slide-to-pick-up-call" feature, which makes me afraid that it would conflict with S2U2).
Sadly the Polaris doesn't have motion or light sensor... It would make my life sooooo easier with ZuinigeRijder's TouchLockPro...
So any ideas on what else I could use please? Thanks!
two things...
1) Are you aware that after you answer/make a call but before you put the phone up to your ear you can press the power button (not press & hold, just press & release) which will turn off the display, but not disconnect your call (or, turn off your phone)? No stray on-screen button pushing this way! With the screen off the "end call/hang up" button still functions and when you press it the screen will come back on immediately. If you need to access your address book or make a note etc during a call, press & release the power button and it will turn the screen back on and not effect your call in any way. If your phone is set up like mine and it returns to the home screen each time the screen is turned on, then simply press the green phone button and the dialer comes back to the top.
2) If #1 doesn't do it for you and you need software to accomplish this, then search this forum for MissedCallReminder (just like that - no spaces). Besides having an option to "lock screen on connect" it has a very handy feature (the main feature actually, as the name indicates) of being able to set up repeat reminders for missed calls and missed sms messages. Very handy. It can be setup to run automatically at startup so you don't have to remember to start it up manually. It also automatically unlocks the screen when you end your call.
Turned out I had bookmarked the app, so here's a link:

Is it possible to let your touchscreen stay disabled when you're being called until you press some hardware button? I'm really annoyed by picking up my phone in my pocket. Is there some kind of program doing this?
Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem. Sometimes the phone freezes when touching the screen when I get an incoming call. Then I have to soft reset the phone in order to use it again. So if there is a way to disable the screen when there is an incoming call it would be perfect.

Thanks for the help but no luck for me, the bar doesn't lock the answer and the ignore buttons when being called, I tried adding the registry settings but it seems there is a flaw with this program, also when turning your screen on it shows the unlocker which is annoying...
I'm now playing with S2U2 but I don't think it's gonna work out.
Little bump.
I use PhoneScreenLock. It locks the touchscreen while calling and unlocks when ending the call.
Phonescreenlock
http://www.clickapps.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=14235§ion=PPC this is a software that I am using at the moment it is very useful in stopping accidental activation of the touch screen when in a call.
I personally never use the hard call button to make a call, and it is still often a source of accidental calls.
I use Exidler's Hd2ProximityScreenOff, so i don't need in theory a screen lock. Very, very usefull. Some accidental calls have been made though.
Here is what i found so far :
- Vangrieg InCall Lock is great, but works only when a call is received.
- Aebutton plus doesn't help for long press on call button.
- I searched on whole registry for "cprog.exe" (The dialer processus) without interesting founds.
I would be so grateful if someone find a way to remove this call function when pressing the button, if possible using with no process in background ...
Why dont you just enable the lock screen that way you cant accidentally make a call when it comes on.
thank for your reply optiknerv.
with hd2proximityscreenoff, I think we are in a new and intuitive way to use phones, something apple did not patent already ! ;-)
we dont need anymore a screen lock, but kind of key lock can be, in very rare cases, useful.
I guess it is impossible to map this button ...
Have you ever tried AEBPlus??
It locks every kind of key - software keys too - and make them addressable to other application
You'll find it on http://ae.inc.ru

Why insist to map the button? Screen lock solves your problem. Try S2U2 or TLP. They will make sure you don't press the green hard key by accident. If you use proximity to auto unlock, there is no extra action on your side. The green hard key (and the phone) is locked whenever the phone is in your bag or pocket.
thanks you very much alex. touch lock pro solved my problem and can use well proximity sensor after some settings.
