I held off from posting this, because I can't seem to find a reason why it's happening.
Basically, I'll get a phone call. I'm close to the phone, and have no problem answering it immediately. But maybe 3 out of 7-8 calls, I can't answer it. It'll just keep ringing until the calling party gets my voicemail. I hit the green phone button, the left menu button (for answer), even the word "answer" on the bottom of the touch screen itself. No matter what I do, the call will not pick up. Keep in mind, there is no Bluetooth involved. If I do happen to have a bluetooth earpiece on, I can hear the call ringing in the earpiece, but pressing the action button doesn't pick up the call like it should.
I'm at my wits end here. What could possibly be causing this?

Is your memory getting junky? I presume that the call application takes a lot of memory that it got full and had nothing left to take your response back Im not sure though. Do you ever get complaints like no signs of an Incomming call when people call you? I get it sometimes and still exploring to find a solution.

Carty..
The only 3rd party app I have installed is Opera Mobile. I only run it when I need it, and always use the "exit" option. I keep my phone as fresh as possible by killing unnecessary apps. The only things that stay open are my threaded message chat and Outlook.
As for your missed call (straight to voicemail), this happens to everyone not on 3g. For some reason, voice calls will not go through when there is net access. I don't know why this phone can't prioritize. My BB Pearl had no problem with that. If I was loading a webpage, it would simply pause the download and the phone would ring. Not sure, but maybe it has something to do with EDGE. I don't think the Treo 750 has EDGE capability...
The 750 definetly has EDGE, but it's usually CDMA phones with 1x that have the issue of not being able to take a phone call while transfferring data. It does sound like you could have another lemon 750 on your hands.

My experience wasn't as bad as yours. It just took a very long time between seeing the ringing icon and the time the phone actually rings, and then a long time between pressing the answer button and the time the call started.
I upgraded to WM6 and from the few calls I received since it appears the problem is now resolved and the 750 behaves like a normal phone.
Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem if you come up with a fix please let me know. the only thing I found that helps is to make your phone ring longer to give you a better shot at answering. here is a link to this fix

I have noticed that my phone has trouble ending calls sometimes. For the most part it does its job and hangs up when I push the button to end the call, but other times it refuses to hang up.
It most commonly happens when I get someone's voice mail. There's a greater than 50% chance that my phone will not end the call when I push the button and I will end up leaving a super long message because it won't disconnect until it hits the voice mail duration limit. Needless to say, it can be awkward when you finish your message and it won't hang up or, even worse, you don't want to leave a message, but the phone won't hang up and you are forced to leave a long, blank message.
Anybody have any experience with this issue? When this occurs I push the button a bunch and nothing happens. Other times, the phone works fine and hangs up the first time I tap the button.
I've noticed sometimes I have to push end more than once, but it will always hangs up when I push it the second time.

Hi,
i get this issue within one week after purchase due to some personl reson i cant go to d servc center. d problm is my sg2 goes into deep sleep and doesn't wake up on incoming calls or messages or by pressing any of the buttons. Only available option is to keep the Power button pressed for 10 sec to restart it.
Strange thing, although it doesn't answer to any command the phone is connected to the network, people are calling and for them is ringing and no answer. But for me nothing showing and after restarting there is no log of the calls or messages received during this SOD stage.
It doesn't happen everyday, like 1-2 times a week, but is very annoying to check continuously on your phone to be sure is still working.
So I just got an RMA and if its the issue I dont know. I can get text and emails all day long and the led works. But if I reboot the phone and get an
email the LED does not work. I can send myself an email from my PC after I start this phone and I can hear the alert but no LED. I can then clear
the message and then try again and it works just fine again. Is this normal?
if someone could try powering off the phone and then turning it back on, then without touching your phone have someone or send yourself an email to see if yours works would be great. If its normal I won't sweat it.:good:
I find myself in a situation where I receive an incoming call that I am neither willing to accept nor decline. In such instances, I attempt to turn off the display by pressing the power button. However, the display reactivates almost instantly. Other phone models allow the user to turn off the display by pressing the power button, and the display remains off until the user presses the power button again
Ah yes, the old problem of if you decline it, then they know you declined it because it doesn't ring the right number of times. Trying to pretend to your wife that you're driving when you're doing something you shouldn't be doing?
Just kidding, but
There's no way to change that behavior.

That's the most simplest thing.... Google should have this ages ago..... Pity... Except the camera.... Everything on P7P is just average. Including performance, battery life......
But it's excellent heating device....
