Unlock WM6.1 with combination of hardware button (HTC Touch) - General Topics

Hello,
I'm looking for software that would allow me to lock my HTC Touch under Windows Mobile Pro v6.1 as
TealLock under Palm OS
or
OmegaOne 1-Pass under Pocket PC 2003 (not compatible with WM5 and WM6):
Fast Password Entry
Using innovative technology, 1-Pass uses the physical buttons on your Pocket PC to allow you to enter your password.
In tests, entering a 4 digit password using the standard password program took 7 seconds.
With 1-Pass, entering a 6 button password took just 2 seconds.
If you don't like using the physical buttons to enter the password, 1-Pass offers an alternate password entry using the numeric buttons on the Pocket PC screen, like the standard password product.
The feature I was looking for is that I be able to unlock a combination of hardware button!
I also know that Throttle Lock exist, but with my aluminium hardcase, I do not have access to my touch screen rapidly like my hardware buttons.

Bluetooth Remote Control on Elf/Elfin - Repost

I use salling clicker on my bluetooth enabled Nokia phone. It works fine, using the physical keyboard.
What are the options available for elf/elfin, given that these phones do not have a hardware keyboard/directional buttons?
Is there a:
1. a virtual keyboard/directional buttons that can be used in elf/elfin?
2. an add-on to salling clicker that will emulate keystrokes using touch controls?
3. an equivalent app, similar to salling clicker, that can be used on touch phones like the elf/elfin?
Apparently, I am not posting at the right board for this, but this certainly is not TRASH. I would appreciate it if this post can be moved to a more appropriate thread.
I am now using Bluetooth Remote Control from http://jaylee.org/RemoteControl/ , and recently discovered that this can be configured using a hardware keyboard, but a virtual keyboard would work as well, too.
what i am actually looking for now is a virtual keypad that looks like a remote control.
Below is a sample of the interface. I took the original interface from Vectir and edited it a little bit.

}
To further explain, pressing the UP volume control in the remote control interface above could be configured to send the keystroke for the letter "A", which could then be assigned in the bluetooth app to increase the volume. Not all the letters or numbers would be assigned to a button since the interface contains only 21 buttons, total.
I hope someone out there is interested to develop this interface or virtual keyboard.

HTC - Touch Cruise Blank Screen Solution (Unlock it!)

Hi guys...
I'm glad to post my thread in this great forum which was helpful since I've bought my new (Plaris - HTC Touch Cruise) ... " it is new (9 days) so far, lol".
okay, i wish you are doing well.
Alright, I searched over the Internet about (the blank screen) when I lock my device and most of the post are about doing a hard reset (and it worked for me many times) but the thing is I've my files and worried to loose them esp. the messages. So I've tried many and many times to lock and try to unlock my device............Guess what?!
I've found the solution and it is in here for you!
okay.. I installed the nice app. (vSnap) - Download - and it captured two amazing pictures, here they are:

2.
they show the accurate place where you can press and unlock your device easily.
first, try to click on the "unlock" on the left buttom of the device.
then, press the "unlock" on the right and middle of the screen.
I hope you like it and it helps you.

What exact problem were you having with your Polaris?
There's a great app called MyMobileR which will let you take screenshots of the screen, and also control the phone from you PC.
Also, if you're looking for an 'unlock/lock' application, I'd recommend S2U2 which can be found here on XDA with a simple search.

The program only tested on hp ipaq voice messenger
maybe can also work on other model voice messenger (ipaq 512 514 518)
Thanks a lot for the back light program.
By the way, if anybody has post to you the original rom (1.0.12.332.04) with the bootloader, let us know.
thanks, I will test you, my eyes often burn because of the lightning display.
One question, do you know a way to use the flash led as a light (torch) in the night? It would be great to use with the hardware button.
Unfortunately I do not find a way to:
1- use the lock button to suddenly lock the VM instead of keeping it pressed so long
2- assign lock and hardware button to other functions, for example call the tasks manager
any hint?
seems to work well, but I have a small problem, I copied it in the program files directory, made a shortcut and put in the windows\start menu\application\accessory but I can't see it in the menu, how do you suggest to install the application?
you have to put it in
windows\program files\
and put the shortcut in
windows\start menu\

NFC shortcut button

Remember the good old days of qwerty keyboard phones? If yes then i'm sure you also remember the shortcut buttons that they had. Devices such as HP jornada 720, or nokia e90, they all had hardware buttons that allows you to jump directly from one application to another without forcing you to access the task manager.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
However, because qwerty keyboard phones are no longer produced, those buttons will never appear again.
But there is a way.
The NFC technology allows you to program a nfc tag to launch a specific application. So what I did was to get some nfc tags, take one, cut its anthenna, and stick a button on the cut, so the tag will only be activated when I press the button.
More details on how I did it here: http://simpledevices.blogspot.ro/2015/11/nfc-shortcut-button.html
The plan is to mount a similar button to the next of the nfc tags, and place them behind the silicon case of the phone, each tag will be programmed with a specific application, just like the shortcuts of the old devices.
I bought a couple of Dimple.io buttons which work in the exact same way (and really well I might add), but until I finally got them (ungh, Kickstarter), I had customized everything to my liking with Xposed Additions and had no more use for the physical buttons
This is a good idea.
Sent from my SM-N9005
this is awesome, there is a company that has 4 in one check it here http://dimple.io/

I need help with ROM - MTK6580 - Android 7.0 Root - 1Gb/16Gb

Hello, I am new here and am absolutely not a developer.
My company has bought a year ago 1K tablets from a vendor in SZ.
The tablets have installed a developed application by a third party for elderly which requires that the tablet screen will be ON 24/7 and constantly on a charger. The application manages to adjust the screen brightness during the evening/night.
Now after 15 months we experience that tablets are coming back with a strange screen behavior.
Screen is ON constantly
Pressing shortly twice the ON/OFF button the screen goes OFF and returns ON with horizontal lines but the touch functionality in tact.
Turning OFF the screen (press ON/OFF button shortly once) for 20 seconds and then turn ON the screen again, these lines are gone.
When you repeat the first step turning OFF and ON the screen, the vertical (blurred) lines returning.
I have tried many things.
Flashing the firmware using flashtool in different settings (we have the firmware).
The factory can reproduce the issue, but is reluctant to find a proper solution.
I would like to be in touch with an engineer / developer who would be able to helps us out.
We can sent some tablets for examination or just the firmware files.
I am reaching out on this forum hoping on some positive response.
Thank you for reading,
Best Regards,
Jan
