Hello guys.. just upgrade my dear Tornado with WM6.1 CE OS 5.2.20282.19597 for Tornado with Neo Style English Version V1! and i'm experience problems sending SMS, i mean, my fone don't send SMS...
I've tried with many ROM'S and no result.. can any help... thnx a lot...!!
I think it is a bug in that rom, more users (including me) have experienced it. I have switched to another rom.
perhaps ur phone cannot recognize messege center number through which it can use the SMS service. You can get messege center number from your network helpline and manually enter it. You may also need to disable GSM over GPS or GPRS over GSM option
You can't change msg center number because of the bug in the rom

Hi All, im hoping that soemone will be able to help with a problem I have.
I recently got the Gigabyte G-Smart from a seller on ebay (like this one)

and it works absolutley great EXCEPT that it will not send sms texts. If i input the text and press send then it moves the message to the outbox and then it stays there and doesnt send the message (I.e. move it to the sent box) does anyone know why this is?
The sim cards works fine in my old K750i mobile, send texts no problems, and also in the Orange M600 that I am selling (when i send sms, it goes to the sent folder and the text has been sent)
It has windows mobile 5.0 build 14955.2.3.0
Can anyone help, because this problem is driving me nuts! I love the "phone style" keypad connected to this Pocket PC but this problem means I cant use it as my main phone yet because I cant text!!

Hi... My last cell phone was a k750i too and I moved my GSM Chip to new g-Smart i128 and I didn't have any problem doing it...
1. Have you tried to use a different GSM CHIP (from any friend) with g-Smart i128?... just to know if the problem is g-Smart or your GSM CHIP...
2. Have you tried to update your g-Smart i128 firmware?

Sorry to bother you with this, but I bet most people don't post until they have a problem!!!
I've just taken the plunge and updated the ROM on my O2 XDA IQ, and now it won't send or receive SMS! It gives me a "SIM is not valid" error message.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Or explain why it is giving me this error message? Is it because of the CID being different? Or the region of the ROM I put on?

are you using a different sim network? i guess your phone is still sim/cid locked.
I switched to Orange, and was able to send SMS fine for a week before I changed the ROM, so it's not a problem with the SIM. Is there a way to change the phones CID back to it's original value (I made sure I noted it down before changing it to the Super-CID)?
im not sure about that. your device should be working properly. try to go over the procedures again.
Did anyone manage to sort this out? I have the same problem, with an orange sim. Cant send or receive text messages, calls are fine. The sim works fine in other phones, and other network sims work fine in the IQ. Tried both the SP5 rom and the 8310 with no luck. In call options it doesnt have the service centre numbers, but if I try and change it, it doesnt save just goes blank every time.
I would revert to the O2 rom but cant find that anywhere! I have all original CDs with the IQ I find it disgusting they dont provide the ROM. That would be like buying a PC from the shop with a windows CD!
Try to call/ask Orange Customer Service then ask for their Text Messages Center Number..write it down. Then on your phone, navigate to Start - Settings - Phone - Call Options - Text Messages Service Center, then enter the number that the Orange Rep gave to you.
That's the problem of sim being not compatible with the rom.
U need the latest rom from orange 2.0.14.0 for spv c600, on this rom this problem is solved by orange, but I don't think you would be happy with it.
i m from india n my network provider is bsnl....it has changed the sms service number....i having o2 xda exec running latest version of ranju rom...till i dont change my sms service number i wont be able to send any messages...so my question is how do i change the sms service number in my device of 02 xda exec.....reply is needed soon...thanks in advance

Tap on the signal icon on top of the screen (between volume and sync icon), then tap on services and select "voice and text messages". wait... and now change the number to which you need.
Note that depending to your operator you may need to write the number with or without the country and area code...
this is also about messaging problem :
why is that everytime I got a new SMS, then suddenly the battery went dead, ... the new sms is GONE ??
any solution for that ?

Hi, I installed WM6.1(every possible version there is) on my mpx200 phone and i'm going to kill myself if don't get this resolved. The issue is that i CANNOT recieve operator service messages (when I am checking my account balance etc.) Either they are scrambled (UJGHIY&66&* gOJ) U6 Y*&**^86 ) or they don't get to my phone at all O_O. On WM2003 it works just fine.
Any thoughts?

Of late I have found that my Phone is Dropping Calls ..if that is correct description of the problem....
My friends and clients are complaining that they can hear my phone ring tone when they call me but I dont receive any Bell or any indication that the Call is coming thru'....
I had earlier Dr. Gonzo's ROM which I upgraded to Mona Lisa ROM Cpl of days back....
Then browsing thru' the threads I read that Call Dropping Problem could be solved with Radio Upgrade... so I upgraded the Radio to 4.1.13.60_03.18.90...
but still the same issue...
This goes for SMS messages also...... I dont receive the SMS mesages sent to me many times....
This has happened at places where communication is and never was a problem...like at my office and home...
Could this be Phone Firmware / Hardware Problem ???
Could this be my SIM Card issue ?
BTW I am in India and my service Provider is Airtel.

it happens only with airtel..if its a prepaid...when u approach the service center they wil ask u to file a complaint with the customer care n then may be the HTC company will release the patch for tat...so better change the network or change it to postpaid...tats the best way
