Hi !
Most of the learned must be aware of the call drop problem that I am facing in my e650 ..... I am trying to get my hands on the Diagnostic Card that HTC Provides to its services centers and one option that it has is to "Format FAT" ......
(I have gone thru' the official Service manual of VOX and have come to know from it about the "Format FAT" feature of the diagnostic card )
I was wondering if Formatting FAT could brick my phone ??
Also , after formatting FAT will I be able to load any of the ROM's and Radio versions that are available here ??
has anyone tried this before ?? if yes lemme know the issues that I may face...
or the learned here in the forums may guide me to it....
thanxxx

Hi guys,
i've just downloaded the WWE_O2_1.12.00 and O2Asia_CHT_1.12.920.
I've managed to install and flash my rom to the wwe_02.1.12.00 version.
but the o2asia_cht1.12.920 is runable. nothing happens when i click autorun. wen i do a hard reset, the ext rom is not installed.
Any idea hw can i install e ext rom so tat even after hard reset it will automatically run by itself?
i'm desperate guys... help!!
any guys here can help?
i'm desperate!!
you think this is paradise for getting answer?
the stuff you get, I'm not sure how it looks like, list the contents here and someone may help you.
Anyway, if it is mostly in CABs, you would need to unlock your ext rom and copy everything into it.
hmm...ok thanks..
anyway how do i unlock my ext rom then?
this forum is so huge tat i cant find it
i've been searching up n low ... before i post this question.
and do pardon me.
i'm still very new to o2 mini (htc magician)
Ok, it seems that you can't unlock ext rom for magician. You will have to flash it. I won't recommend you to doing that though, until you are very confident of yourself.
Anyway, for the stuff you want, just have everything copied into your phone/SD card, and run all the CABs there, it will install everything for you. Perform a backup using SBP Backup to get an EXE file that you can use everytime you perform a hard reset.
Again, Magician ext rom can only be written by flashing it. Read the forum, I might be wrong.
thanks guys..
anyway i've given up on writing the ext rom..
btw.. i've jus flash my rom with e asia cht 1.12
after flashing it ..i realise tat my storage folder is missing.
any help?
He guys,
I've updated a S710 for a customer of mine but he forgot that he had some notes on the internal memory that he really needs.
Anybody know a way to do this. Already tried a normal data recovery program but this doesn't see a smartphone....)-;
I'm afraid that hard reset formats the nand flash and all data is really lost.
I'm not sure though. You can try to use the "pdocread" program to dump the windows and extrom partitions and see if you can still find customer data in them. Check out the Vox wiki for a howto.
Don`t bother in that matter. If notes was in internal memory, then after reset is lost for good, taft.
when I try to enter Boot loader in VOX ..... the first msg on the screen says searching for SD card... and it enters the Bootloader mode......the Color strips....
but nothing happens after that ..!!!!
any suggestions ??
What do you want to do?
I am trying to load the HTC diagnostic file.....named as vox0diag.nbh
please see my earlier post for trying to Format FAt of my Vox and suggest.
thanx
Why would you want to format your Vox? I know it loads vox0img.nbh through the boot loader, I don't know if it does that with this file naming scheme!
thanx for the Quick reply....
this a diagnostic file that HTC service centers use for VOX.
I read about it in the Technical Manual of VOX that laid my hands on thru' a friend of mine.
My VOX is dropping calls i,e. you can hear the Phone Ring but I have NO Indication that I hav an incoming call.
I thought that Formating and then loading a New ROM with New Radio Version could perhaps solve the problem....
BTW I hav tried nearly all ROM's and Radio Version's available on the XDA:FTP
That is why all this exercise....
any more help will be really appreciated...

/QUOTE]
sd should be formatted as fat16 - fat32 or cards bigger than 2gb may not work
if u want just format sd card then use wmstorage and under windows mount phone as external disk - .. just format it as normal removable disk
can you put this file somewhere for download ?

Some confusion here it seems:
@indtram:
Did you get your hands on a vox0diag.nbh file or did you just read about this in the manual?
Regarding Flashing via the boot loader:
1.) the card must be a NON-SDHC card, i.e. 2GB or smaller
2.) this card must be FAT or FAT32 formatted, NTFS is no option
3.) the flash file must be named vox0img.nbh for normal flash files
4.) the bootloader will ONLY load correctly signed .nbh files - cooked ones don't work
5.) if the card carries the right "Gold key" in its boot sector, the bootloader will allow also vendor independent flashing - yet correctly signed is a must, at least for the normal boot-loaders that come with official ROMs.
If anyone has got hold on this vox0diag.nbh, please put it to the XDA FTP.
Hi,
Im kinda new to the whole rooting-business, especially the partition stuff.
Ive tried and searched everywhere after a solution to my problem, but I was sent here, to the experts.
I have a rooted HTC Desire 2.3 with Cyanogenmod 7.1
My problem is that nothing happens when I press "Partition SD-card".
I have tried in both RomManager and in recovery. It says "done!" and all, but when I check my space, nothing has changed. I still have only 148MB. Have tried multiple times.
The GParted stuff seems kinda scary, so I want to avoid that. I have also tried the "toggle signature" thingie.
And please, if you have an answer, please take me for a noob, because I am
Thank you
Hi ToreBarsk,
If both method display "done" your card was correctly partitioned.
But the 148Mo was the internal memory and can't be enlarged (except by flashing custom alpharev patition table but it's too complicated and dangerous if you'r new in the flashing world).
Since few month (years ?) Cyanogen ROM no longer contains A2SD. But S2E (Simple2ext) can help you (search S2E on Google Play Store).
For more details go to the Desire Android Development section all is explained : http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=628

Aaaaah! I wanna kiss your feet!
I have searched, read and worked my ass off for 5 hours straight trying to solve this. Just one simple app solved it all.
I have all the memory in the world!
Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
Ha ha ha you're welcome guy .
I've got this fu*** memory problem with my old Desire and I've spent a lot of time to solve this.
And now ?
I've just changed my Desire for a Sensation with 1,2Go of internal memory for apps ha ha ha ^^.
See you on XDA .
I have switched to just about every rom the 1 st gen Focus can do and most of them have all the unlocks on them , with the storage unlock function , the card works great in the focus ,if I take it out after unlocking it and try to run any , of the main formatting tools ;sd formatter, hdll format tool, hp usb disk ,mini part tool, easus , diskpart ,etc , nothing works , it will eaither read it and say write protected (which means it wont format) or it will run and say bad disk when done , then I just put it back into the focus and reformat it to the fone and I have 32 gs again , but only in the fone , I have since moved back to android (i717 note) and would like to get this card back if I could , heathcliff? gdtd? got any suggestions?
guess I'll try to get the clerks at best buy to let me use a nokia phone to format . this is why I can no longer use a win phone , well that and the fact that they update there OS without giving the generation the oppurtunity to upgrade as well, like how they ****edd the nokia 900 people , a few weeks after its realease coming out with win8 and then telling them you dont get the update , Well in Android you can tell me anything you want , but I have the power to supercede your bs!
