Hope there's not another topic on this subject. I kept reading, and googling but found no answer to my question.
I have TCPMP installed.
Resized an avi to 320x240. When I play the file (22 min length) i get about a second of lag between the audio and the video. Can't tell which is out of sync - audio or video. The thing is this lag is kept from the first second right to the end of the video.
Same with a full movie. Resized it to 160x120 but it still has this lag between video and audio. I have also tried to manually correct the offset but with no noticeable results.
Video looks ok, audio sounds ok, but I can't get rid of that lag.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
i have da same problm wth my vox when i run tcpmp...hope sum1 can help
In fact I noticed my files have this lag because of the resizing software -> the files play the same on my PC as on my Vox.
Maybe it helps...

Hi there, on my HTC P3300 and my wifws Asus P320 we have used Coreplayer to watch youtube videos with good quality.
The last few days we get 'unknown file format' trying to open flv streams from yutube.. I have tried different settings but can't get it working again.
If I select RTSP, it works fine, but the video quality is no good.
Anybody knows what is wrong?
same here. and the tcpmp flash plugin isn't working either. which leads me to suspect that youtube may have changed their codec slightly? i dunno!
From the coreplayer forums:
"We are aware of this issue and are working on a fix to repair it,
Youtube changed the way it plays flv files and we will release
a version fix as soon as possible. "
Answer:
YT function on CP sucks!
I have only ever wanted to access youtube on my phone 2 or 3 times, usually when an upcoming film is mentioned in conversation and I want to have a look at the trailer. As coreplayer is software which is already on my phone, and it works ideally for this sort of usage, I for one hope that it is working again soon.
This file is in the HD2 can use WMP play RM and RMVB file, but will appear about the case upside down, someone can help fix that? Thanks!
ya ..similar Problem..any one can help?thx
i also have one plugin that enables hd2 play rm, rmvb with the built-in wmp. it does not cause the up side down problem, but the color has become not ture and the sound is out of sync with the image.
it seems even worse than your plugin.
is it something to do with the registry?
I looked at a subtitle and realized it is actually upsidedown and inverted too. I think it need a bit more CPU power to play it smoothly.
same issue here... finally i can play my rmvb files on my hd2 after try the files in the other threads but the subtitles are inverted... *sigh* better than nothing though
actually not only the subtitle is inverted, but the whole video is inverted.... Lucky that a strict sense of direction is not highly required in watching a normal movie.

but you need to overclock it to improve framerate .
when using the TCPMP , combine with LeoCpuSpeed to overclock to 1113MHz. Since it needs to be on charging to overclock the HD2, I have to use it with a MOBILE USB CHARGER on the go.
I transfered some 720p .mkv files to my tablet (external sd) and the video plays fine in both the built in player and in mx player but I don't get any sound. If I play a smaller .avi file it plays fine with sound in both players. Any ideas?
Sorry if it has been posted before.
try using another player like diceplayer. I used to have this problem when playing mini 720p with the stock player, but not with the diceplayer
I'll just leave this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1686675
Long story short: use software decoding for the audio.
Dice player works fine. Can I somehow watch full screen with out the black row with the three dots in de bottom?
Starting to hate this tablet more and more every day..
If you're rooted, get GMD GestureControl from the Play Store, and install Busybox.
Im noot rooted. Will probably root when a good port of AOKP is out

Why hate this tablet? it's the 3rd best atm!
And it's not the tablet's fault! Your video might have an unsupported audio format, or it may be corrupted.. Try playing the video from your tab on the pc. And can you precise what format is the audio?

I hate the lag when i browse the internet, my SGS is faster when scrolling around on internet pages. The internet apps I have tried freezes up ang gives FC at least 5 times every time i on the internet.
And many other things.
The videos works fine on my PC. It worked once with dice player but now I don't get any sound with dice player =/

New device, new fw, new problems. Most will be fixed by updates. The build.prop tweaks, for instance, made my .17 DE internet browsing _in powersave mode_ totally lag free (!).
You should wait for firmware updates, though. I'm afraid of what will happen if you accidentally brick your device.
Sound in players is accomplished by choosing software decoding of the audio.
I have a couple of seasons of a cartoon in mp4 format on my Galaxy Tab 2 and having never had a problem with MX before, now some of these files skip erratically and the audio and visuals are jumbled up in several episodes.
I assumed this was an issue with the file, but they play perfectly well on my PC through VLC.
Have updated to latest version through Google Play but still doing it.
Other files are fine, including .avi and another mp4.
Thoughts?
Rgds
P.S
Im a bit of a luddite tbh so please use small words and not too many of them in the hope i understand what to do.

It may related to video resolution. Galaxy Tab 2 is not so fast device to run high resolution video.
What is the video resolution of your mp4 files?

Long press any video file
Select properties
Here you can see some basic info about video file.
Just check resolution for the files which doesn't have problem & the one which has problems.
Provide us with the media info of the video causing problems, as it will help us diagnose the issue. You can extract the media info using a PC app such as MediaInfo.
I was doing some video sampling, have no problem to play it back on the phone, but when I moved the files to my desktop, one of them, the 4K60fps shows a totally black screen in WMP, background sound is ok. That file thumb looks funny, different then the rest of it. No problem with the other files playback. Then I imported the 'bad' file to OpenShot VE and I can see the video, though with lots of stutter. Could this problem be files encryption related, I mean, if something gets corrupted in the process of moving files between diff systems?
Uh..., am not rooted, just clean Pie

UPDATE
Tried different video players on Windows 7 desktop so, the WMP won't budge, displays black screen only, QuickTime does playback 4k60fps but it's all very jerky - VLC is perfect, no skipping, very smooth playback - something's wrong with the encoding on OP6 part, only the 4k60fps mode is affected on my stock Pie OP6.
UPDATE#2
Problem solved: Window Media Player is an old 20th Century technology unable to playback high fps videos.
