O Am sorry i used search never looked where...
So its not possible or no one has been able to yet?

in theory if it hasn't been done yet we assume that it can't be done. but also in theory if you remove the keyguard xml from the jf build then you resign and reflash it should get rid of that screen. but don't take my word for it and brick your phone. i've been known to brick a few myself

LOL was searching it for (seriusly!) for hours... I downloaded also a slide to unlock but will remove it because it's useless (it works great but i have to click menu afterwards).

s2u2 help please.

ive installed this and it seems to work, but from the images I see on here the slide to unlock was bigger (similar to IPhone) and it also double locks, when I slide to unlock I have to do the other slide to unlock as well. This is probably something simple sorry if this is a stupid question. Many thanks

if the double lock issue is the windows default lock being on also, you need to disable it. there`s a cab in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584415 i think you may need to back up original lockscreen files 1st or you may lose default lock screen if you decide to uninstall s2u2. i`m not 100% certain though

Menu unlock fix? DC 2.07

I've tried searching, but cannot find a fix. My phone always gets unlocked in my pocket and it's annoying. I know that another ROM has the ability to stop the phone's ability to unlock by pressing the menu button. Is there anyway to get this fixed without adding a a different kind of launcher or modifying the look of the original theme? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
It's on the front page of the forum.

Another pocket call to 911 and I'm sure I'd be in jail.
I saw that, but do you not need to remove the HTCLockScreen and have a different layout as I stated? I just wanted to know if there was a fix without modifying the layout, changing the look or removing any functionality.
And thanks for being nice about it, MrTrip.
edit: NM, misread.

Around here they just fine you for that... (Although I hear it's a steep enough fine that you might actually prefer sleeping the night in jail....)

[Q] Remove Slider Lock?

So, i've been searching the forums for an hour or so, trying to find a definitive answer for d2g...
I want to completely get rid of the system slider lock when using a pattern lock & widget locker
when i use mylock or no lock, widget locker crashes, and doesn't work anymore.
rooted/fission
any ideas?
just gonna poke at this again, still looking for a solution, not turning anything up
no lock works on my d2g just fine, try a reinstall? are you using the widget?
as far as im aware, i dont think anything exists to get rid of slide lock AND still have a pattern lock. at least thats what i read when i had my droid incredible.
It would be great to just hit the power button and enter pattern to unlock, but i've yet to find anything that works
ps i am also running fission
yea, exactly... that's where i'm at... not even sure if anyone is even working on this

I dont think anyone is working on it (not entirely sure), but it would be great if someone created an app, hell I'll even pay for it, it would be useful as the motorola one is laggy

[Q] lock screen.

Is it possible instead of having the unlock pattern having a passcode popup right after you unlock the phone as the pattern unlock is kindah annoying and tacky in my OWN eyes .

[Q] How to disable the HOME button ?

How to disable the HOME button in the Galaxy S6 ?
Don´want my phone to wake up everytime it is in my trousers.
Is there an apk file for it ?
Thanks !
Umm keep it somewhere else?
Your answer really helped ! [emoji35]
Have you found this to actually be an issue? I can't imagine it'd be so big a deal that you'd want to disable the button altogether.

Not off topic at all, actually. My question is very legitimate and I am actually interested to hear your answer.

Well, depending on the trousers I wear, I have found this to be annoying as well. Tight pockets often click the home button by accident and wake up my phone, then it sometimes also manages to unlock the screen and start all kinds of apps, call someone or whatever. They could use the proximity sensor to detect phone is in a pocket, but they didn't...

You don't have the fingerprint security on? Have you tried repositioning the phone? Maybe the home button against your body as opposed to against the pocket? Or phone top down vs bottom up, etc? My pants are usually pretty tight as well but I've never noticed this issue myself (not to say that it doesn't happen, just that I've never noticed it).
Since everyone ignored your question the answer is as follows.
Open generic.kl in root explorer (device/system/usr/keylayout)
Find the line "Key 172 HOME" and commet it out by editing it to "# Key 172 HOME"
If you just want to disable home button wake, i have a workaround here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/guide-how-to-disable-home-button-wake-s6-t3128348
To everyone else, whats the point of being a smart ass about his question? if you dont know the fix dont post. Dont pick apart his motives for litterally no reason. Android is about CHOICE.

I have found that many times people ask for a solution to weird problem X but if you ask a bit more problem X is a workaround for problem Y which they figured they couldn't solve, so it's better to try to solve problem Y. That way you really help them.
Very good for google cardboard!

do you need root access on your phone to do that? Because I'm getting "java.io.filenotfoundexception:Read-only file system" error
