{Solved} Kaiser ROM Kitchen - working!

Kitchen is done and working. I'm still testing it, but for now we can build ROMs in WWE, RUS, SPA and possibly any other languages.
Thanks goes to bepe, jcespi2005, mamaich, tadzio, darksimpson, trinca, itsme, pof, vasil and all others who helped me!
Files and guide will be here soon.
I would also like to get to know what tools are needed for coocking a kaiser rom as I will be getting a kaiser in the near future and would like to continue my prophet touch series as Kaiser Touch or something like that.
I've dumped ROM from working device like in POF's post. Then trying to rebuild ROM using dumped files and WWE rom as base.
No I'm stuck at the point, where Bepe's BuildOS tool ask for missing xip files like this:
Code:
[Missing Files]
SYS\MSXIPKernel
MODULE: busenum.dll
MODULE: cachefilt.dll
MODULE: certmod.dll

Can not wait to see your work with Kaiser
it seems nobody wants to share knowledge how to cook custom rom, and tadzio's tools don't dump XIP correctly, many files are missing (see my upper post). but since helmi and duttythroy already cooked some roms there is a way to do it...
I've tried the hermes XIP extraction, but it fails on me when I try to run the "dumprom" command.. I think ROMMaster is the ultimate culprit, but I am still investigating...
I've finally managed to reconstruct russian rom from device dump, xip section also has been successfully extracted - thanks goes to bepe for his help and tools! so it is like i have some sort of rom kitchen, but at least now we can play with roms a little

Can you share the XIP extraction process? or are you planning to make a little kitchen guide?
Thanks.

actually i made it only for my very own purpose - to rebuid russian rom, i don't know if it will work in general case for any rom. everything is done manually, so i can't call it full featured rom kitchen. and many questions still left unanswered, but it magically works on friend's device Tytn II (i don't have my own kaiser yet )
and I still don't know how to extract XIP from htc downloadable rom, only from device dump. so to extract XIP from some rom first you have to flash it to device, then dump it with pdocread, then extract XIP and rebuild ROM. tools I used provided me bepe, so he is who deserves donations for that. i've only figured out the trick with xip... if somebody wants to make a rom kitchen there are two things have to be done:
a) figure out how to extract xip from .nbh (helmi_c and duttythroy probably knows that)
b) ask bepe for permission to use his tools and make them publicly available
I have been busy for the last few days so this is my first post on this site for a couple of days.
Regarding XIP extraction i still figuring a way to do it. I think helmi_c might know how to do this but I can guess he does it with a hex editor.
My way of cooking is similar to you dumping an manual using a custom kitchen which is sometimes tedious but If I can get to dump the xip also from .nbh I could release a kitchen for beta testing.
so, we are waitng!
now I start have my kaiser and I want to coocking but I need more info on how to do so with kaiser.
see first post
JugglerLKR: thanks for the information and we wait with baited breath as to the release of the tools and what guide information you can give.
Russ
everything is working, i just need to finish a rough "How to" and collect all permissions from authors of used tools to publish it here.

Hypercore can build 6.1 ROMs. Extracting works, only extracting the XIP isn't supported.
Nothin, I hope you will release a ROM with huge free RAM, based on this ROM

.NetCF 2.0 & 3.5?
Sorry for posting this again but I have had no sucess so far.....
I have used this kitchen as a base for my own custom ROM and it's almost perfect..... Problem is I have some .Net apps that don't work with .NetCF 3.5 that is included in this kitchen. I have tried replacing the 3.5 with 2.0 but had no luck, I have also tried installing a 2.0 .CAB, again with no sucess. I have also tried building the ROM without any .NetCF and installing the .CABs after and I still can't get the .NetCF 2.0 reliant applications to work.
I use Schapps VoIP configuration tool, the NoData tool and a Threaded SMS tool. None of these work, however MobileCalculator and LiveSearch work with .NetCF 3.5 OK.
Any pointers?

You could use the NetCFG .Net configurator here
which can change which version an app will use. I used it to change e-sword from needing 2.0 to 3.5.
Well I gave this kitchen a whirl on hypercore last night the rom is solid. Didn't have any problems building the rom with the given folders. I did noticed that the kitchen doesn't have the camera app in the oem folder, but that should be easily fixed. Execellent work on this rom. Rock stable and blazing fast. I will be doing some more extensive testing and tweaking over the weekend.

MMS and windows media player...
I like the kitchen you posted a lot.
I just got stuck on one thing though: MMS and Windows media player.
having a problem with the windows media player not playing videos. I think it is missing some dlls or some registry settings that allow windows media to play videos.
do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this?
I have managed to associate video files with wmp but they still dont play.
Thanks in advance.

Use another Camera package. Will post my one this evening.
Attached are my MMS and camera package both are working on my CLEAN version...
thanks for the packages, but something is still a miss. it will now play mpegs, but the mp4 comes out just sound.
there is only one thing that fixed it. a cab. unfortunately I can not create an oem package out of it due to it not proccessing the registry.
thanks for the packages anyway. I am using them. they work. must be something else in my kitchen.
