HTC US version in Europe ?

Hi,
I plan a business trip at the end of this month in the US. Ive currently an HTC P3600 but i would like to buy an HTC Touch. (I prefer the iphone but it lacks business application like Exchange synchronisation).
As i'm in the US, i would like to take advantages of the $/Euro convertion and get direct 40% off my phone.
Question: US Mobile Network and European Mobile Network are not compatible. The US version of the HTC touch is capable of both mode ?
Do you recommend the HTC TOuch or any other ?
Thanks
Ced

What he said, get a GSM phone. Even if it is locked to a carrier you can get it unlocked.

Want to buy a new phone

Hello ppl, as u c on the title, I want to buy a new phone, but the problem is that here on my country we dont have such high-end devices like Iphone 4 or HTC EVO 4G, or phones like that, what i want to know if you can recommend a hihg end phone like those ones, here in Costa Rica there are just 2 bands
GSM- 1800Mhz
3G- 850Mhz
Thank you for your answers, at let me know if im asking or doing something wrong, thank you again
Same as In México the bands
At&T american cell provider branded phones will be the only ones will work with your local 3G, other than that you can buy any phone you want.
Have a look on marketplace section
I recommend an HTC device weather WM or Andorid

Lumia 900 on Sprint?

If I had an unlocked Lumia 900, would I be able to activate that on Sprint?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA
I think its a GSM device and Sprint is CDMA.
So no.
This is correct. You'll need to wait for a CDMA-2000 version of the Lumia to be available in the US (I think they're doing one of the Lumia 800 in China?) or you'll need your carrier to use the predominant cellular technology used by most of the world...
Many Verizon customers are dreaming for the same thing. Look over at Verizon's web fourms...pages of people begging for it.
It's GSM based, It will only work on AT&T and MAYBE TMOUS (both GSM carriers) but, will not work, AT ALL on Sprint or Verizon.
Trust me, if I could activate it, I would of owned one already...

Nokia Lumia 900 won't boot

There's a Nokia Lumia 900 that i could buy, but unfortunately it doesn't want to boot up properly.
When the mobile is turned on, it starts loading up, the Windows logo shows up, and then a "Goodbye" sign appears and the mobile shuts down.
There's a video made about this issue:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZ1D1k-s9BE
The device is made in America and it's told that it can be used on European network.
What do you think, is it worth to buy it? Can it be repaired?
Thanks in advance!
It's hard to tell what's wrong with the device.
Be careful with us devices in Europa, some providers in the us use a CDMA network and most countries in the euro zone have gsm networks.

This model can be used on GSM network, so it should work in our country. What do you think, can this issue be resolved at home, or it might be a hw error?
Thanks in advance!
