Fastest ROM? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

My apologies if this has already been asked, but wading thru the search results didn't help me find the answer.
I'm currently running NotATreoFan's v5 Final ROM with Radio 1.65.16.25. I've just noticed it seems to be VERY slow. Text messages take forever (not due to my slow typing skills, but waiting for the "keyboard buffer" to catch up).
I've been considering flashing to a new ROM, but with so many choices out there, I wasn't sure of which one would be recommended.
Are there any FAST ROMs? Might someone know the fastest? Perhaps the AT&T ROM without the bloatware?
Once again, I apologize if this is repetitious.
Thanks in advance,
DaleyKD

How many of theese posts will be here?
YOU HAVE TO TEST BY YOURSELF; CAUSE EVERYONE HAD ANOTHER A ROM HE LIKES MOST.......
MODS: Please delete/close

So where you were searching, you didn't think to read the Kasier section Announcement that says "Please Read This?"
That's ok, I'll help you out, just like JeckyllHavok sad, "Fast" is relative to everyone's opinion and no one can really say which will be fast for you.
Also, if you look Scotchua has a thread about Keyboard buffer.

Dutty V4 - What Radio?

What is the radio version compatible with Dutty v4 ROM? Is the ROM comes with a Radio or do i need to install one by myself. Right now i have Q Mobile 1.2 which is amazing!!
what is this new obsession about creating new threads when an "official one" already exists..
Try there
Thank you Very much. I only see the beow note in Dutty's FAQ which is confusing for me.
"You need to use a NON-ATT radio. 12.32 is a proven radio. You can find them on the ftp as well. "
and after that there are 132 pages of replies. For a simple question, i dont want to go throug 132 pages and thought some helping people out here might help. Instead of typing the whole sentense for me, you might have let me know the radio number or your explanation, which would have been more helpful. After all this is a helpful forum and i guess newbees are welcome to join.
so instead of reading yourself to find the answer, you expect someone to hand feed it to you.
This is a helpful fourm, but people do need to help themseves.
There is a wonderful seach within thread tool that probably would have give you an answer.
try this one or use your stocker one if it works.

Thanks both of you guys.
1.27.12.11 for me
thats what I'm running...and I agree..its not always easy to find an answer by searching in here despite what the more hostile "senior members" say...
Hostile or not, we were all new here once.
I don't mean to be hostile, but by using the search in thread tool, I have found about 99% of my answers

What version of Duttys 6.1 is best?

Build 19199 or Build 5.2.19716 updated FEB 20.2008 seems to be the newer one?
i personally prefer 19716 build but you can try both and figure it out. there was no need to open a whole new thread just 4 this question.
It's a perfectly valid question dude.
Like most people I am frustrated by people asking the same questions again and again, but I am concerned that this forum is in danger of heading down a bad road by bashing noobs at every opportunity.

Yes it's a perfectly valid question to ask in Dutty's thread about his ROM not creating a whole new thread about it.
totally agree.
You could argue this is like asking a parent which one of their kids they like the most!
Best thing is to try both and see which you prefer. There will be advocates for both.
ps don't try that with your kids. it will end you up in jail.
I use each rom on my 2 tilts. I feel that 197 is more stable. 191 sometimes freeze if you push some buttons whil they are booting up. doesn't happen to 197.
No disrespect to anyone here on the board, but Dutty's thread is quickly becoming useless to me. I'm not going to weed through 330+ pages of replies to try to follow a conversation or find a piece of information in there. That thread is quickly becoming it's own universe.
I'm glad this thread was started - It's good information for me that I wouldn't have otherwise found.
Regards,
Jeff

Here's the point....I garuntee if you post in there with a question it will be answered...there's no point in making a new thread....that's all I'm saying.

Posted a question ... no answer.
That thread is bull....
It took me 5 minutes to even find my posting.
The thread might make sense if someone was moderating it ... meaning putting questions into the first post with links to answers. But this? Bull!

Yeah, all threads suffer from this, and I'm also totally agreeing with you, I'm also in the same situation, cannot read hundreds of posts and pages of every ROM thread to find out if it's a suitable one to upgrade to. Trying out so many ROMs until satisfied is not an option for me (ok, I'd admit trying a few, but not every version of every flavour of wm6.1), I want to find one to get rid of my german wm6.0 and have iGo still working, and no issues more than with 6.0.
An updated FAQ in the beginning posts of the respective threads would be useful, but even better, real wiki articles (not just links back to forum threads). Don't want to upset people who discovered the Internet just when these forums where already around, but on mailing lists information and discussions where easier to follow and filter...
Just my 0.2€...
Back to the question: which is the best?
Let me tell you: the new 19716 RTM out to come soon will be the best and fastest ever!!!

just got the kaiser, now...which is the BEST rom to install?

as the title says...?
I've been using Dutty's for the past few months, but it seems like ROMeOS is the best these days...
Probably the same one as the answer to the last time this question was asked... Oh, about 20 minutes ago. Please use the search. That's why it's there.
Seriously though, Best rom? Good question. Many are geared towards different ways of using the device. Best advice is to READ descriptions and threads like the rest of us and do your own research.

Agreed - when I got my TyTN II I also had the same question.
Well the answer is simple - LOTS OF RESEARCH!!!
there is not the best one in general, but one that fits your needs.
So please read description of each ROM

Like the others said - and it of course depends on your preferences (i.e. type of apps, performance, appearance, etc.)
A good rule of thumb (ALL NOOBS TAKE THIS HINT!!) would be to look at the postings for recent ROMS and see how many responses there are to the thread. It could be a red herring if there have been a few bugs, but generally it indicates a popular ROM and from reading (yes read the initial posts please!) you can quickly determine if this might be a ROM for you. The responses from users will highlight any issues that may be specific to the software you'd like to run.
Maybe the mods can close this now - or maybe create a "Which ROM should you flash - read this first" Sticky that paraphrases this to prevent this weekly question.
if you are looking for a multimedia ROM (stable) i suggest Dutty's April 29 ROM
if you are looking for fast and fancy ROM i suggest ROMEOS 3.5
here ya go
But still like said above it has to be a ROM that fits ur needs.
cheers
Find the Best Rom! Ask 10 cooks get 10 best Roms
First Hard SPL your phone find a rom offering. Read what others say about it, then if it sounds like something you might like, Flash it. Then try another and another and keep going until you can answer that question for yourself. READ! for your self and learn. The bottom line is the best rom is a myth! it only can be the best if you say it is so. What I believe to be the Best you might Flash and think it sucks. Do some work on your own and learn! WiKi, WiKi, WiKi!
Hyperdragon ..
You can try Hyperdragon. I have been running it for quite some time now and have found it to be very stable and without almost no glitches..
Best rom

It's fast, stable and the support of Hang.Tuah is great.
These threads are popping up all over lately. Cany anyone do their own research anymore?

Question about Manilla 3d and TF3D

I noticed that L26 has a rom that includes Manilla 3D and TF3D. Does anyone else have a rom with both of these options? I have only seen TF3D mixed with Manilla 2D. Any recommendations on a current rom as well?
I'm currently using Anryl's v5; it's very fast, and it doesn't come with a radio. After using both I think his is smoother, faster, and less buggy.
Simply Unbelievable

First of all : Manilla 3D and TouchFlo3D and TF3D all refer to the same project.
If you had actually taken the time to read Leo's (full:Laurentius26, the creator of L26 Roms) thread on the L26 ROM , you would've found out that this very question has already been asked a couple of times and consequently answered a couple of posts further up by either Leo himself or someone else.
Not to flame you or anything, well maybe a little, but this is exactly the stuff that is driving our developers away from here.
Opening up threads with questions you could've easily found the answer to,
had you actually taken the time to READ or even SEARCH.
Let alone posting it on the wrong thread.
Final comment @ Hyden121: Ignorance is never a valid excuse for stupidity
(@ everyone else: Sorry, I don't often scream, but felt this one was justified and necessary)
@mods: please close thread
To tell for all:
Manila is just the codename under TF3D was developed.
Cheers

So, you think someone asks a perfectly reasonable question and all these intelligent developers suddenly throw up their arms in despair and decide to stop developing?? - do me a favour mate, your repsonse was 'Simply Unbelievable' and a complete waste of everyones time - if you can't help then don't bother to post.
As you said 'Sorry, I don't often scream, but felt this one was justified and necessary'
People need to do a little bit of reading, research, & searching before posting questions that have already been ask several times. Generally if you have a problem or a question someone else has too. Consequently someone else has probably already posted about the problem or issue.
Any ROM should work with both of it. Search for those individual threads, and you will find out more information. I presonally prefer 2D. 3D has lots of bugs in then, and cant turn the phone off, which is a no no for me.
My intent with this post was to never waste anyone's time. I did research and reading but perhaps I did not quite understand what I was looking at. A forum is a place to ask questions and learn and that is what I did. I only wanted help understanding and quite simply all I was looking for is a simple answer or perhaps a link to a corresponding forum. I don't believe that my question was an invalid one and I doubt people are leaving because of questions such as mine. You do not have to post a response if you are not answering the specific question or trying to help in another way. I would think that the idea of being flamed and accused of not searching the forums prior to posting a question is what would really drive people away. I am sorry if I wasted anyone's time with my post but next time please feel free to overlook my posts if they bother you so much.
"First of all : Manilla 3D and TouchFlo3D and TF3D all refer to the same project." This actually does help me understand what I am looking at and so thank you for this info. I thought there was a difference between Touchflow and Manilla. I never realized they were the same project... Now I do.

ROM: Fastest Non-Buggiest ROM available?

I've spent countless hours going through the forums...
Out of all of the roms that I have tried I would claim eOS is the fastest non buggiest rom out there. It is very streamlined and fast, and I had 0 bugs when using it, if that is all that you are concerned with. It is lacking in some features by default, letting users personalize it as they wish.
Jason
How was responsiveness? Do you know if there are any benchmarks out there (I'm lazy, thought I'd ask for a direct link before looking it up...) for it?
Forgot to also ask; with any of the ROM's - which one's are most friendliest when it comes to adding new cabs? I guess my goal is utilize the processor and... add those things we all like to screw around with for a week or two and decide if its worth keeping. Usually in my case, if it causes my phone to freeze, it's off to the next choice...

I've spent countless hours going through the forums and figured I'd ask. Please note, I'm asking not for your opinion, or what you're favorite ROM is, regardless what drives it or what extras are on it... I'm asking everyone for some facts - as of today, 12.13.2008, who has the fastest, non-buggiest ROM around? ROM's are buried everywhere and some include benchmarks, others don't. I'm on AT&T and a,s of last night, went back to the OEM 6.1 ROM.

There is no way to have software and not have bugs. NOTHING is going to perform EXACTLY as you want it to right out of the box.
To see what everyone WOULD respond to your message with if they wanted to - look at their signature - why would they use it if they thought it was buggy or bad?
You are going to have to configure your phone no matter what. You will get (if the mods let this thread stay open) many opinions (just like the zillions of other threads that ask this question) from people who have not gotten tired of answering it.
The only way to find out what you like and what is non-buggy in your opinon you are actually going to have to download and try each of the ROM's.
Sorry - I wish it were simpler than that - but it isn't.
Two posts and you have already violated a rule this is not going to go well obiwan!
The rule:
If you post a redundant thread, SPAM, flame or violate any rules. Your thread will be closed or deleted without warning. Useless threads like those that address an issue such as "Which ROM is the best," "Kaiser vs iPhone," or "Kaiser Killer" will be closed. You could also be banned for violating the rules.
To find a list of the rules:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=378
You state you have read a lot - I believe you - there is a lot to read. But - you are going to need to read even more to make yourself happy I am afraid.
Thanks for the input - that's why I was/am looking for stat's/results/screen shots of benchmarks, etc - just the facts.
The best way to find the answer to your question is to read the rom's threats, put the doubts about the rom's there and flashed then.
And you'll be a flash addicted like me.
This one screams...its the fastest one I have found yet......and the memory...oh the memory available is the best yet too. Give his one a try.
