i'd say it's a pretty major point.
if they catch you doing that they can ban your account and ban any future acounts under your name. no warning or anything. i've heard of it happening.
i'd seriously consider taking that out.
on a more positive note, thats a pretty awsome site, looks like it took you quite a long time to compile that list

Seriously, lol...the Captivate development forums have some of the funniest, craziest, weirdest, and completely irrelevant thread titles for their Rom releases
The devs have a very good time I know, taking shots at each other, all in good competitive fun though.
you see everything from commercialized slogans like "bringing you in your phone together like never before!"
to off the wall phrases like "I'll kill you in your sleep" (wtf?,lol)
xda should have like a community judged and voted crown holder event at the end of each month for categories like best rom names or best release phrases. Or funniest thread titles or something,
For every device forum in xda, not for any prizes or anything, just all in good favor thats all.
I'm on the fence if that would be a good idea or a bad idea.

People who don't agree will complain and will probably cause flaming on the thread. Beside, people will more likely vote for their personnal favorite ROM and not the tagline.

It all started when dg was putting things like best captivate experience or smoothest rom or best rom. Then mikey got jabs in and it went from there. I miss just (ROM) (NAME) (DATE). First post filed you in on things.

now this one I can explain haha. I've been using the GR-X roms from mikey since moving from Serendipity. His OPs have always been a little...crazy I guess is the word. But from GR-11 and GR-12 it has been getting ridiculous, people asking the same damn questions a hundred times (no exaggeration) and blameing mikeymike01 for their problems when they can't use search and read. so needless to say it pissed him off lol
as for the others I love the names, for a while I would flash just whatever I found to be the best tag name lol
It used to not be like that and was much better. I think a few cooks mock it, which is why you see crazy ones

Chingy has done a phenominal job in answering questions and putting hours upon hours of work th
Deuch bag' and some sorry intellectual just ruined a great developer over at XDA. This is not Mcdonald and fast food (you get it when you want)....There are a lot of strategy and redudencency that overlap to creat your custom ROM or Kernel. I'm tired of reading thesethreads. Google search what you a looking for and it will come to hear. Don't be Jack Ass and feel tough on forum. No one wants to fight in keyboards language If you are upset sound respectible....sound like man.

I was just waiting for it to come down to this. I get the feeling I'm one of the few that read every post in the threads for Incredibly Re-engineered, The Perfect Storm, and Gingeritus up until the holiday weekend began. It's not like the guy just had a bad day. It's more like for a couple months now people were getting way outta line with him about how he built his ROMs. Go over and read the thread for IR. As long ago as last year he was dealing with slugs that didn't read the OP. One of the reasons he put the wipe script in there was because of all the idiots flashing without wiping, then posting how his ROM sucked and had all kinds of issues, like it was his fault. I've flashed his ROMs onto many different phones, flawlessly, and everytime I hand the phone back to the owner they're like "Wow! This thing is FAST!" Yeah, maybe this subject is a dead horse, but it really bothers me how folks treat one another sometimes, especially when the bad attitude comes from a moron directed at someone basically giving gifts away. The mere thought of doing what these guys do makes me want to sever major arteries in my body. But, I'm sure glad they like it because I like the results! I could gripe about how the home screens are full of icons and widgets nobody would use, or the lack of some features like wireless tether in some ROMs, or the screen brightness, or the kernel he packed with it, but is there a point? No. I'm some nobody that stumbled across his work one day and thought "Gosh! This is top drawer work!" When someone puts there heart and time into something and applies the skills acquired over years, it shows. It shows in Chingy's work all the way back to Re-engineered for the EVO. I completely understand how he'd feel reading some of the posts on his threads. I would probably have done the same thing, except sooner. Sometimes I wonder why there aren't as many devs here as I'd like to see, especially for kernels, but I don't need to wonder long. I've screwed up my phone before. I've gotten pissed because it looked like some dev couldn't do anything right, but the reality is if his work was that bad, it wouldn't have been posted long enough for me to download. So I point the finger at me. Sometimes trying to get something to work just pisses me off because I'm not a dev, or even that wise to this stuff in general. Restore a nandroid and keep on having a good day. Pretty simple. It's hard to believe that's too hard for everyone to do! I feel bad for Chingy. More than a couple folks have gotten ugly with him over a long span of time. Gingeritus 1.1 is out now. I'm gonna go get that and continue enjoying how CHINGY, and ONLY CHINGY, believes a sense ROM should work.

Dude, you are a dev yourself. Why would you make snide remarks about a fellow dev? You have the temperament of a pregnant rhino and expect your peers to take **** while you go about posting comments about them in their threads like you did with virus? What is wrong with you?

LOL, there is this guy at work who has to be the worst speller on the planet.
Anyways, one day I told him, "You know there is a spelling checker you can use when you send emails, right?"
He says, "I know, I used it!", LOL. Don't know where he got his spelling checker but he needed to get a new one. Maybe this person is using the same spelling checker?

These same "fellow" devs say the same snide remarks towards me. There is no code of honor.
That said, if you cannot stand the pressure of some dickhead users, then hang up the title belt. That goes for any dev, including myself. I mean I could get mad and retreat to my own forum because you called me a catty old lady, but I don't have that thin of skin. Sorry.
As for the virus issue, that was effing ridiculous because the dev jumped on me, and he didn't even take the time to read ahead of time and see what the deal was, and that I was dealing with accusations of kanging. QUITE the different issue.
Deving anything in the android community requires thick skin. Sure I get mad. But I have not yet picked up my ball and gone home. The day I do, it won't be for reasons that a user got butt hurt for not reading.

Sorry, I thought in 4+ years of higher education, a grown adult with a *gasp* girlfriend would know some simple spelling, or realize how immature it is to fly off the handle in a public forum for no reason.

@Matt - I feel your pain man. Sometimes as mods, people get a little over zealous with their cleanup powers. Just remember, one mod doesn't necessarily express the views of the whole community.

I'll look around for the list. On the forums I mod/ admin on, the mods names are on the designated forum so all can see. Not the case here.
Not only have them resurrect it, see if they'll delete any trolling comments as well.

P.S. hate to admit, but Samsung has done a better job this time. I just prefer looks and feel of Sensation. But after experiencing few problems with it , if I had a choice again, I'd probably go SGS2. Not a fan of Samsung or HTC, I'm a fan of good quality equipment.
Just read somewhere that nexus prime is going to be Samsung parts in metal body. Now that is something to look out for.

Yeah I know. Both of them are top of the range, high end amazing devices. Don't see why it's so sensitive. Just depends on your preference. For me, the look and resolution of the Sensation took me to the dark side

I was on G+ on a CM developer and on the post about Sensation port this guy was just insulting CM7 saying it sucks, yet it takes time and effort to develop. I'm a developer myself (not for Android) and I know how it feels to have your work disrespected.
