Touch sensitivity tweak. Nice!!! - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Just in case some of yee didn't know...
In the diamond forum, there's a nice cab tweak to enhance screen sensitivity. Kudos to azharsunny, very nicely done!!
Just download the second cab.
Here's the link..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469865
And knowing is half the battle!

Thanks for the info, but i think this can be done in advanced config and TF3D config which i found were more than adequate for me. Thanks though i am sure someone else will have a use for it

I feel that this tweak has given my phone a higher sense of sensitivity when compared to tf3d config...along with the heptic feedback, works great.

Yep, I'm using Snailslug Touchresponse with a 30ms setting. Enough to let me know I've made contact, but not enough to be annoying.
You know what they say, great minds blah blah blah

cool, thx for the response, i'll have to find it.

i used to enjoy the feedback, but the TP mechanically vibrates so loudly compared to the kaiser or HD and probably most others.

Agreed, the Kaiser has a nice smooth vibe.
Trancer, here's Snailslug's cab.
My apologies for referencing to it and not showing...

[BETA] WM6 Dailer Skin - Big Buttons & Smartdail

At last:
Now we have a way to have a big button Dailer Skin WITH Smartdail.
I have rebuild the dll from scratch, and now we can use it for dailerskinning WM6.
The attached skin is a BETA, this means not everyting looks nice, but it is a great starting point for making new skins, or adapting existing skins.
To do (DLL):
-Layout tweaking (I am not happy yet with the overal layout)
Please post your suggestions here, and I'll consider them, and the good ones will be incorperated into the dll, and eventualy into the dailer-skin builder I am working on.
Skin:
See attached jpg:
OMG I freaking LOVE you man! It looks amazing! I am going to keep it! It looks a lot better than the standard layout, and GREAT for dialing with the fingers (I have an invidisible shield screen pretector so its practically scratch resistant). Not only that, for some reason, it FIXED my redialing issue. With the new crossbow rom, it wouldn't call the most recent person on the history list because it was organized in alphabetical order. A history log should obviously be organized by TIME. But i dunno man, it works and I just wanted to say kudos! U have really made my device a million times easier to call vai touch screen. To begin, touch screens alone are rather annoying to call from because there simply isn't any "physical push-back" button response. But with the large buttons, its practically FLAWLESS. THANKS AGAIN!
It is something i would consider using permanently. However some minor suggestions would be to shrink the text of the list of last people called so you and possibly widen it across the screen, so you could see more than just two recent entries.

Thanks for your comments
As for the sugestions:
The backspace button is a bit in the way for the calllist, but I'll try to widen the list and still keep a backspace button in one form or another, or else find a way to edit the fontsize of the list.
great work on that! I wish I knew how to help you fix the last few things or make new similar skins (colours). If you need any help let me know!

Well, I am working on a program that will create the skin for you.
Just choose the background, select the button-layout, adjust the transparency of the buttons, press: build cab, and presto, you have created a new skin
I am beta testing a part of it now, looks very promissing
but there isn't video call button?

Sorry man i didn't notice that i was speakin' on the wizard forum.
I was referring to hermes.
If you would send me the tapres.dll and the tapres.dll.0419.mui I could try to make it compatible with the hermes.
However I can't test it because I don't own a tytn (yet ).
Best regards,
EqX
Very nice...I used this for WM5 and it was cool too.

This version works on WM5? I can't upgrade to WM6 year because BT DUN has been removed so I'm stuck for now.
FYI this is working great on my Cingular 8525 (Hermes) with WM6.
Wow! Really nice dialer! I love it!
I wonder if you could do the same thing with the dialer from the wm5 that looks cool. I downloaded from somewhere and it is the dialer in Vista style! I am attaching it.
Thank you very much for this before I saw this post I was about to give up on the wm6,(fingers are too big for the small dialer)
1 question,
When I start dialing and numbers come up if I press the down on the pad and then the middle pad button it shows me the last dial screen, before it used to dial the number ?

[APP][29/11/09] l3v5y Multitouch Paint

In the same style as the Stantum resistive multitouch screen demos, I've made a multitouch paint application.
There's a video here.
You can use one finger on the "slider" to select the colour, and the other to draw with, or just draw with one or both fingers. Double tap to clear the screen, and press and hold to exit.
Let me know what you think!
You need to soft reset before this will work properly.
For those of you with single touch screens, it'll work, but with only one finger at a time...
Developers, check out this.
video is not working?
Maybe there : http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=10863
Youtube just taking a while to process....
This looks amazing L3v5y well done that man!
All I need now is the HD2 to play with.

Did you soft reset? (should have mentioned that in the first post...)
Looks good indeed Some suggestions:
1. Tap and hold under the color bar to get a magnifier glas to se the color you selected.
2. If you swipe the screen slowly the drawing becomes choppy.. Dont know why but you might want to look in to it
3. Select other sizes for the brush..
Good work!
Bravooooooooo! Thank you!

1) Sounds like a nice idea, will think how best to do that.
2) That's because I'm drawing a line between the previous point and the current point. When you move less far, the line is shorter than it is wide, and much more prone to that. Will work on getting it less choppy.
3) That sounds like it could be useful, will think how to do that...
I'm also thinking it might be useful to save images, and "retract" the colour selector so you can use the whole screen.

Reset should fix it.
Will add a soft reset function to the cab.
l3v5y,
looks amazing.. multitouch! who would have thought..
Just curious.. do you have plans to take this further? I am very much into painting and one of the main reason for buying HD2.. but haven't quite found a suitable painting app.. think the closest is the Dynaink.. but the colour palette don't show all colours. (same with your colour window as well..)
would be great if you can adjust the size of brushes and maybe just a smaller tab to bring out the colour window perhaps?
keep up the awesome work mate.
cheers

That sounds nice Another thing. Maybe have the possability to have "layers", so you can go back and add some, and then go back again.. Diffrent tools like spray etc..
Congratulations...
Now, we can say that HD2 is really a MultiTouch...
Cool! Nice app.
Nice one mate. Can you explain to why I have been led to believe multitouch was only going to for HTC's own apps, and not for public development?
Edit: I must be an idiot since everyone else got it to work (I did soft reset) but it crashes on me if I try multitouch, or it gives me single touch...
Edit2: And like magic it started to work all of a sudden.... I think your app is making fun of me....
I soft reset and it didnt seem to work still, was taking me back to the home screen, but then it worked, great work l3v5y
Although on mine it still seems to crash frequently but only when having two fingers when one is on the colour part and swiping, seems hit an miss, anyone else have this?

Solution for 'keyboard' haters?

Hey guys,
I was looking for a way to get click sounds when typing, because this really helps me typing on a virtual keyboard.
Going to sound and notifications, and turning on the click sound was nice but I want it only in the keyboard.
Then I found this: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487677
I have been using it for a good 30 minutes and think it is pretty good. I have to get used to it, but it seems like I make very little mistakes. And if I make a mistake, it is because I really press the wrong letter.
There are a lot of options like the sound it makes, how hard it vibrates, different themes, etc etc.
Be sure to download version 2.1 (link at the top of that thread) and share your experience here! If you find any good settings to make it work even better on the HD2 please also share!
Kind Regards, Mark
(PS: I have not searched if there is a thread on this or not, but since this keyboard was made in April 2009,I asumed not many HD2 owners know about this. Also, maybe this could be a "post your keyboards" thread. Btw, I typed this from my HD2, with this new keyboard
or go to Manila settings tab, Local and text, Text Input and turn on typing sound

Touch2 MyMobiler skin

Dear all,
Thanks for all the useful tips over the past few years, I've finally done something worth giving back to the community.
I noticed the HD2 and diamond skins but there wasn't a skin available the correct resolution for my QVGA Touch2... So I decided to make one using the existing skins as examples. The process was pretty straightforward and took me about an hour playing around to get it right.
I know that there will be some issues so let me tell you what I already know before you come back to me to tell me.
Anti-aliasing is a bit rough around the edges, it looks best on white backgrounds. At any zoom level other than 100% it does not go transparent and you have a white edge (which looks a bit ugly). According to other similar threads this is due to a bug with MM not the skin itself.
Also if you switch the skin into landscape it goes wrong. I am hoping that somebody may have some ideas as to how to get MM to rotate the skin, or be able to set a landscape skin up. I could not find any examples of this.
Also I don't think the start button works, although the button is mapped out.
Enjoy, let me know if you have any ideas about rotating it. I don't have much time to adjust but thought other people may well want the same as I did, so here you are. Feel free to improve on it.
Mr Gringo
Edit: Attaching screenshots

Apologies for the confusion, I have appended a screenshot as requested.

That is the point! But there was not a skin for My Mobile which makes it look like the Touch2 until now. Those screen shots are actually displaying my phones screen, not an emulator or static screenshot.
Have a look at this site: fuzemobility.com/mymobiler-skins-for-htc-hd2-tp2-and-more/ and you should catch on.
Ok, thought that the screen was "automatically" displayed by mymobiler.....
And since I use direct mobile device connection, never had the need for mymobiler .....
Will give it a try.....thanks for clarification!

[Q] Haptic Feedback on Keyboard?

Would it be possible to turn on any haptic feedback for the keyboard on WP7? TouchXperience has haptic feedback enabled for its menu's so I was wondering if it would be possible to integrate that into the keyboard. Used to have Android so not having haptic feedback is kind of a trouble. Thanks
Do you mean something similar to the vibration that the Focus has when you hit the capacitive buttons?

Ok, sounds like a good idea on paper. I wish I had the knowledge to be able to do this kind of thing, but I'll just have to wait to see if someone more knowledgeable is able to do this.
I wish we could in basketball this year. We did a great job in football this year, but I have a feeling we'll really miss Von next year.
This definitely sounds possible. The registry editor you can install on your phone has virtual buttons that provide feedback when pressed.

Yeah, I noticed that too and looked around in the registry but couldn't find anything that involved that. It's probably in there somewhere, though.
It definitely seems accessible if TouchXplorer has haptic feedback, just don't know if theres anyway to integrate it into the keyboard...
Perhaps we could contact Julien Schapman (the creator of Registry Editor)? There doesn't seem to be any contact info in the app though...

This question has been brought up many times before. I asked Julien a few weeks ago (in his forum for the Advanced Configuration Tool) about the feedback for the keyboard.
Any chance in implementing a vibrate only for the on-screen keyboard? I noticed the Samsung Focus has the following keys in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\FingerKB\Sounds\:
NormalKey
\Windows\KbdKeyTap.wav
ActionKey
\Windows\KbdFunction.wav
SpaceKey
\Windows\KbdSpacebar.wav

We can change these sounds but unfortunately not to vibrate as they are not implemented as system sounds.

But in advanced configuration, you can change the sounds of the lock, unlock, etc to vibrate and those are .wav
Still no solution here? Is it not possible to make different "Keyboard apps" in WP like Android?
I really miss the oportunity of beeing able to choose from different layouts plus the haptic feedback..
