Does anyone know how to fix the roaming issue with the 8330 software upgrade? It took away my roam only option, now I can't use it in my work building. By the way, I have sprint.

hey guys, i bought an iphone online from at&t (to sell) and just got it. stuck my sim in there and it "activated". played around with it a little, than put my sim back in my fuze, and the internet wouldnt work! after multiple soft resets i played around with the settings and saw that the address is now ims.cingular. i changed it back to wap.cingular and everything is perfect now. however, it goes back to ims.cingular after each soft reset. what gives?
nobody knows? this is real annoying... ive never even heard of ims.cingular...
hey my guess is to call att and remove the iphone plan because it is differnt from other att plans
thanks, but i never added the iphone plan; i still have the $15 medianet plan
ims.cingular is the APN for Video Share, if you have enabled the video share service on the phone it will use this APN as it must be parked on it to receive video share calls.
On ATT's side, one of their systems thinks you're still using an iphone. This happens a lot. Call an ATT rep and get to technical support, they should be able to fill out a case which'll get it fixed in a jiff.
See what happens when you do unprotected sim swapping with dirty iphones? You catch diseases!
Ok i remember like 5-7 years ago verizon was considering upgrading ther enetworks to wcdma for 3g connection i never heard anything of this happening so i was wondering if anyone knows weather or not this upgrade went forth?
Hey guys
My gf has a nexus s, and she gets random roaming data charges occasionally even though this is disabled. Does anyone have any info about this? Our better yet, a fix?

I guess this only applies to a limited subset of people since most would be solidly in their coverage area and not switching back and forth like hers does sometimes because she travels through "edge" areas of our provider.
This is still costing her money on Mobilicity (canadian AWS carrier) , anyone else aware of this?
im on wind here in toronto and i havent had such charges , weird
Hey! Been drooling over this 1020 bc I'm a camera person and I'm just plain old tired of my S3
I'm on tmobile with no intentions of going back to ATT bc of contract and such.
I know it is possible to unlock it for tmobile and that it will work in refarmed 4g areas (how do i find out if I'm in a refarmed area?)
My main question though, is it worth it if I mainly use wifi calling? I live in a basement apartment and I never have normal service with my s3 (i never haver service anywhere honestly) so I'm always on wifi calling. I've heard wifi calling is and is not available and I'm trying to figure out which is true.
If it does not have wifi calling, will there be an upgrade option somewhere in the future with xda development? Will tmobile be releasing their own version of the 1020?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Katie
I unlocked mine for 15$ (less than 1 hour) when I was in the USA. The website was unlockforcheap (I think I'm not allowed to put link, so, google it)
anyone have any actual information on this?
any chance someone knows if the new iphone 5s is going to have a camera to rival? yes i know 1020 has more MP but, im wondering about the sensor and all that extra flash jazz
Well, not quite. LOL. But I do have a question for my US Nexus bros and sistas.
I'm not a noob when it comes to cellphone technologies having worked in the industry here in BC for over a decade, and I've done research. Lots. Here is what I need help with.
I will be spending about 6-8 weeks in a small town called Parker, AZ. There I will be living at the airport without WiFi or other connections without walking into town. I'm working on my commercial pilots license and would not have time for that more than once a week. Now my choices for 3G+ as I understood it until now were either AT&T or AT&T for HSPA (actually was looking at straight talk, but the AT&T network) or Sprint CDMA. How ever since the N5 has the CDMA network capability and I see people using theirs on Sprint. Now I like sprints plans better with unlimited data. But in all my years selling Analog, to 1xCDMA, to EDGE, etc. There was always one constant. You can not, or at least not easily, activate CDMA devices on one provider from another. Yes there were ways, but not without jumping through a million hoops or ESN cloning (not that I ever did any of that). So how does it work for them now on the N5? And how can I set up a temporary account from the great north so I can switch my service to srpint as I cross the border?
