Hi,
Successfully updated to ADP1 JF 1.41 but I'm unable to get IM working.
It starts but immediately says "android.process.im has stopped unexpectedly"
Any suggestions for fixing this?
Cheers,
Grant
wipe your phone.....
Mmmm.... so is that a common issue that wiping (again) would fix, or just the standard thing to try after an update?
As I did do that after the upgrade, so I'm reluctant to do it again after getting everything setup and working (ie most apps are installed and the phone settings are completed).
Perhaps I should look at some log files - perhaps dmesg? if not what else?
when i updated mine from ADP1.1 to RC33 i didn't wipe beforehand and that caused many of the core processes to stop unexpectedly and my phone was unable to sync with google.
wiping and updating again solved everything. now it works perfectly

Hi all,
I'll try to make this short. JF's 1.41, apps and data moved to sdcard. everything has been fine till I decided to update my theme. After the theme update the power management app started to crash. I reinstalled it but that didn't work. To quick fix I decided to wipe. After wipe com.google.gapps crashes and now my phone can't connect. I wiped again and reinstalled JF 1.41 but its still crashing. How can I get my phone connected again?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
typo above..its the com.google.process.gapps
I've been searchin everywhere and can't find an answer. As of now I have no phone.
So far I think I fixed it. Had to flash all the way back to r29. Installed JF's 1.41 and theme. So far so good. Hope my issue and fix helps someone in need.
Is anyone else experiencing market issues after updating firmware to 4.0.3? I can see my apps and search etc fine but when I try to download an app it says:
"... could not be downloaded because due to an error. (-101)"
I tried flashing the 4.0.1 firmware since market was working on it, but i still get the same issue.
I also tried clearing market cache and date, force closing it, and nothing works. I also tried reinstalling market and still same issue.
Anybody has an idea what the problem is and how to fix it?
Try clearing the cache and dalvik in recovery. also what i would do is go into cwm first reflash and then fix permissions then clear those things.

The problem went away for me last night but now all of sudden I'm getting the same error... then it went away again.
I can't really figure out how it went away... I did restore a nandroid backup yesterday before the problem went away, but I don't think that's what fixed it since I had tried that before...
Market Problems - Solution
I was having the exact same issues. I was running MIUI.us 1.12.23. I went online and found 1.12.30. Once I upgraded my problem was gone.
However, the new firmware is still eating up my battery!

I was having the same problems after 4.0.3 RUU install (rooted).
I cleared the market data and cache and UNINSTALLED MARKET UPDATE rebooted my device and everything was fine!
9020t running CM9 3.4 w/ stock kernal, has been running perfectly fine but all of a sudden this morning multiple apps give me the error "Unfortunately **** has stopped". Along with that I know at least 1 app disappeared, my launcher reset to default, and apps that had already been granted superuser are asking for it again. Chrome prompts "Critical Functionality required to run Chrome is missing; either your Chrome installation is incomplete, or not compatible with this version of Android".
Going to do a full fresh wipe, wondered if anyone else has had this happen recently.

I had this happen with my old LG Optimus T, Booting into recovery and wiping the cache's did the trick to fix it without wiping the whole phone. But if that fails then a full wipe/re-flash would be required.
If you're going to do a full wipe anyway, I suggest you reflash CM9 as well, Just in case the flash image somehow became corrupt.
I have two problems with my lg g3 att rooted phone.
1st Problem - I have tried to get rid of the android.process.acore error but have had no luck THIS time. (Last time part of the fix was completely uninstalling the facebook app from my phone). This time (and last time) I cleared caches, stopped them, deleted my contacts and the contacts storage, unclicked the app sync button.... I can't really remember what else I did to restore it to normal.
2nd problem - So I clicked on update software from ATT and a TWRP v.2.8.6.0 screen comes up. I don't know what to do with it. Do I click install, restore, reboot, backup? Can I just undo this and try and find some other way to remove the android.process.acore error message without losing all my data with a factory reset? If this twrp is complicated I would prefer to just undo what I just did. I really need some help as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.
Same Error Message

I am having the same problem and not sure what to do about it. I restart my phone, and it seems to be ok for a while, but then it starts popping up again. I have an AT&T LG G3 (LG - D850), not rooted phone. I have tried to reset all app preferences, but that didn't seem to do anything really. Could really use some help! Thanks!

Anyone else met with this issue with the latest beta? I keep getting this error, none of my SIMs work and trying to go into settings-SIM&Network crashes settings.
I used to have Google dialer framework (Magisk) and Google Phone installed, removed them but the problem persists... Cleared Phone's data, set the OP phone as default app, nothing works - I can't receive or make calls, and the OP dialer just gives me a black screen.
Any ideas?
Can I go back to OB3 without wiping everything?
[EDIT] ahhh local upgrade won't let me downgrade...

I'm on latest beta 4 using a IN2025 OP8Pro. I used the full ROM not the incremental update to upgrade from OB3. I am rooted also. No issues you are experiencing. Sounds like you need to flash the full ROM from fastboot mode and complete wipe for a clean install and start from there.
./
Thanks for the input. How big is the partial update? Because the one I flashed was almost 3GB...
So, no real way to downgrade to OB3 again?
3gb is full ROM not the incremental update.
So that's not the explanation then... I wonder if factory resetting will fix the problem?
Any ideas anyone?
