There is a new prl... 60664
Navigate to setting> about phone> system updates> update profile ( IF this goes well then do the next step)
then navigate to setting> about phone> system updates> update prl
Here is the PRL file from my phone.. Only for manually installing

What he said.. PRL is different then pri
Flip or any other rom maker doesnt control the PRL. Its something used for signal on your phone. They update it OTA.

It says that it could not update, but when i went back and looked it now says 60664. I am assuming it updated fine.

Haha yeah mine does that every time I update. I dont know why.
This time it told me mine was up-to-date though but when i checked it was changed.

nandroid doesnt write radio. or back it up. so that wouldnt help
best bet is to flash fresh 1.1 and then update profile to be sure sprint registers you. then update prl.
make sure your not roaming

UHH why delete ONE simple nano. You should have more then enough room on an sd card for that 1 simple file that can save you trouble in bad situations. Like this one.
But maybe try resetting your phone. See if it doesnt change.

This is why I make backups of my backups backups.

If you have the PRL file on your SDCARD just dial ##775# Input your MSL and then browse for your PRL, then menu>Commit Changes

ehhh well as i said even if he did save the backup, nandroid doesnt restore /radio partition. thats where the prl and pri is.
the prl he got is a different carrier prl so he needs to update profile so sprint registers it.
anyone else get a weird prl?

[How To] Huawei U8500 FroYo (MTC Evo) Updated 30/03/11

This is how I got FroYo running on my U8500. It supports many languages.
Download the FroYo beta firmware from Huaweis homepage

Unzip. You will se different folders - find the largest dload folder, about 211mb. Copy the dload folder to the root of your SD card. Turn of phone. Hold hang up key + volume up and hit power. The FroYo is being flashed. At the end it will say update failed. Wait a bit and then pull out the battery. Put the battery in again and start the phone. The first start will take like 5 minutes so WAIT. Now when the phone starts your on FroYo ;-)
If you are experiencing any problems with wap or radio then redo the installation and you will get an sucess instead of update faild at the end =)
By the way. Here you can find the Eclair version if you please to go back for som reason. Post #39 by McSpoon

i updadet it successfully ,but wap is not working. Wifi is fine ,but something happened with wap. I think everything is ok with settings.

Install it again and you will get an green "check" at the end of the installation instead of update failed. This will make your wap start working, the same for those of you having issues with radio.
If wap doesn't start automatically - configure the adresspoint manually.

i did the update twice. First time it's failed ,so i tried second time and it's finished successfully. Now i editted apn settings,and internet started working,but now browser turns off for some reason then it's starting to load the page

Ooooops! FM Radio disapeared! Any patch to recover it?

I am using Huawei U8500 in Bangladesh (Brought by Grameenphone as Grameenphone Crystal). Using ROM manager, I have copied the current ROM. Before updating to Froyo, I want to find whether my copied ROM contains all type of info (specially the startup branding of Grameenphone)

Radio not found!!!!
After reading this tutorial I've downloaded the Froyo update & installed it. As per the instruction it failed at the first time & on the second time it was successful. Everything is ok & nice but the radio not found. I mean there's no fm radio player in there. I tried to download some radio software, bt all are online radio. but i need the radio which receives the fm transmission locally.
I tried updating with the file time and again. but the result is same. please help me..

[ROM-BASE] Stock 1.17.651.1 Rooted, Deodex'd for dev's to base off of.

After getting request's to post this on its own thread... here's the stock, rooted & deodex'd rom that has been fixed... Superuser, HTC_IME FC's, and the updater script!
Dev's, use this as a base for your roms... If you are new to emmc partitions and updater scripts you can use this as a reference on how to properly mount, unmount and format partitions within the script. If you have anymore questions please post them on the 'Developers reference' thread located in this forum.
This rom is not going to be maintained, however i more than likely will update it as new OTA's rollout. Please only post rom development related items in this thread.

I only wanted to add that as this is the base ROM that seemingly will be used to base other ROMS of off, that the VVM part of this ROM is broken. Uninstalling the package will not work, nor will updating to the latest version. Having to resort to Google VM.....
Not bashing by any means, just wanted to let you know, so maybe this can be fixed before it spreads to more ROMS as they are built. Only thing I found, OH, and the ROM is not R/W by default, seems its Read only.... easily fixed.

is there a reason why i get a stuts 7 error when flashing this?

I flashed the rom to see what u were talking about... after updating VVM, it's working perfectly fine. Make sure you're on mobile network as it seems to not want to update via wifi.
As long as im correctly understanding you.... i don't know any rom that mounts file systems rw by default. You have to manually mount them via adb shell, or adb remount.. or a root app.

Shouldn't be any reason, best way to help is to use these commands using adb shell right after you receive an error in recovery.

I have only flashed this rom using ClockworkMod 3.0, so i cannot say 100% that it works on 2.5... but so far it looks like you're the only one with an issue.
FYI: There's a guide posted on how to use ADB in this forum.

On mobile network... :-( Flashed the ROM x2 and what I get (Over network) is a continual "Verifying your account information" when opening VMM V. T.5.1.0.48, until it times out. Then when I select settings for it, at the top its greyed out and continues to say "Please wait, verifying ......".
When I press the button to "Check for update", it says "General Failure. Please try again at a later time."
Anything I'm missing>? I have re-downloaded the ROM, as well as re-flashed 2 x to the same conclusion....

Cybernook, sprint may be having issues where you are. I just tested it and mine updated, tho it took a reboot and had to make sure BT and WIFI were off.
After installing the rom I did the "update prl" and "update profile".

been using this rom ever since posted
no issues

Apologies to you Prelude. I called sprint yesterday and they informed me they had been having VVM issue for 2 days (Up until my call). All is updated and working fine today!

Thanks a lot but It didn't solve my problem.
Actually I gave up on this rom for now.
For some reason the hosts file in etc/ or system/etc is a 0 file.
and will not read copy or move for nothing with root explorer or titanium.
Weird.

Are you looking for the RUU , or this particular Stock Rooted Rom? If you cannot find a link you could just pull the Rom from the RUU. Then run it through the Kitchen.

I made a big mistake!

I accidentally use the bootloader instead of PDA section of ODIN to restore back to factory. When I realized it, it was to late. I lost my Data connection. No 3g, 4g, or 1x . Is there anyway to fix this?? Please help!!!!

have you tried to re-odin? can you even get into download mode? otherwise your phone may be permabricked... you can try my older copy of Odin (use PDA only still) which hasn't failed me yet

just saw a thread that says VZ's network is down so no data for anyone, 4G, 3G, or 1X... none for me here in LA even with my rom/modems working fine, it seems to be a temporary network issue not your phone

This is the complete rom without baseband. You wiil have to flash the radio using the quickflash file .fls
If you have done so and can make calls install this for wifi bluetooth and so.
or to try the rom and have access to the market through wifi

@scottydoguk, I posted a question on page 3 of the working gb with radio thread, and then on the last page below your last post there, (this is a copy paste with a minor edit so please be gentle if you see this more than once >.<) but did you manage to get mobile network working? as I just flashed the baseband to my phone, and can make/receive calls, but I dont have 3G or wifi working atm (about to try your file after its downloaded). Do you have the apn's handy for orange? incase its now incorrect or are they included in your file?.
EDIT: Also so long as your phone is unlocked and unbranded (and purchased in the uk) the baseband available should also work for you.
