What do I do to watch films on my TYtN II? - General Topics

Hi
I would like to use my TYtN II to watch films or TV shows while I am in the gym but have not got a clue how to go about it. I know that media player will not play some of the little movies some people bluetooth to me so am not sure if I need to use something else. Where do I even go to to get the movies or TV shows? You tube does not seem to have full length videos etc only clips. I would really like to make use of BBC's iPlayer but not sure how that works either. Total newbie at this. All help gratefully recived.
Thanks in advance

Watch mp4 on PPC

I have an ipod and have converted all of my tv shows and movies to .mp4. I now have a k-jam that I take with me everywhere and would like to keep a show or two stored on it for when I get bored, but I don't want to convert my files back to .wmv. Is there something I can do so that I can watch .mp4 on my k-jam? I suppose it would be too much to ask for a pocket quicktime? Thanks.

Try TCPMP it plays almost eveything, including mp4 movies I shot with my magician. Btw these last play with wmp as well.

[Q] Playing movies: I just don't get it...

Hi there,
I would like to have movies played on my HD2, but somehow I just don't get it right.
I've searched the internet as well as this forum for the right video converter that would show my movies on my HD2 (together with the subtitles as they are in the original movie) in full screen. I'm stuck...
Could anyone please help me out here? When I check a link, that is mentioned in the forum, I get a thousand others. To me, it's all very confusing... To which format should I convert a movie to have it shown on my HD2 in full screen? What player should I use on my HD2? Would it be possible to (de)activate the subtitles in that player? For instance, I've converted the movie "SALT" to my HD2, but the movie is NOT in full screen, and it's subtitles are gone...
I'm way open to suggestions.
Thanking you in advance!!
Robert
The best player... pretty much the ONLY movie player worth bothering with on windows mobile... is coreplayer. The cab I use is attached.
Coreplayer can fullscreen, but you may need to play with aspect ratio settings to make it take up the entire screen (as the movie will often fill the width of the screen, but won't fill the height... doing so would make everyone look tall and thin, or you'd have to crop the left and right sides of the movie).
Here's a thread with the info on subtitles.

I guess there's a subtitle plugin for coreplayer that you must download separately, but it doesn't take popular subtitle formats. So you must convert the subtitle to a format that coreplayer likes (on your PC) first. The movie itself may or may not need to be converted depending on the format. Core plays most things without the need for conversion, but some types (not all) of mp4 or mkv won't play without conversion. Also you'll need to convert if the movie is true high-def. A 720p or 1080p isn't going to play smoothly on the phone, but something like 720 x 304 will play fine.

how to watch DVD movies on my Droid Bionic?

I want to watch DVD movies with my Motorola Droid Bionic, but it is protected. Yesterday, I bought a pavtube dvd ripper tool, after rip dvd movies, what formats should I convert it to, because I want a high-qualified picture, but I is not likely to use? please help!
I would be very grateful, cheers
Handbrake is a good free transcoding tool. I'd recommend giving it a try and seeing what you think. You can use built in presets to make it easier, or look around the web for custom made presets that are specific to your device.
The better players on the Market, i.e moboplayer will play back a range of different formats so you're not exactly short of options.
Install MOBOPlayer from Market:

It will play almost anything that you transcode the videos to..

Click to collapse
I'd suggest use this guide to make the file size smaller (you can half the size of movies, without losing much quality):

Then use either MoboPlayer as suggest above or use RockPlayer Lite to play the movie.

[Q] Stream to Samsung TV

Hi.
Is there a way to stream the conact directly to the samsung TV?
Im using the Show box to stream the movies online and the MX Player to see the movie and the imbedded translation. I want to stream the movie directly to the Samsung TV that I have like the built in video player.
To overcome this today, I use the screen mirroring, but this drains my battery quite fast as the phone screen has to stay on at the same time that I stream the movie.
Please advise if this is possible.
Thanks.
You need to check wheter your videos are compatible with Samsung TV first in that as far as I know, Samsung TV only can support MP4, WMV well. Maybe a tool should be helpful to you for encoding videos into MP4.
