Hi,
I have Galaxy S2 with Widgetlocker 2.2 installed.
It works fine expects for some music/radio players. If I set screen to turn off after 30s, then when screen turns off, music stops, as if the player could not keep one playing with a locked screen.
I uninstalled WL, the screen turns off and gets locked with the native android lockscreen but this time, music does not stop.
One more precision, this problem occurs only on players that are not multitask, I mean they have always to be on forground the work.
And problem with WidgetLocker is that it overtakes the process from the monotask player and so the player stops, wheras it does't with the classic lock screen.
Any idea on WL settings?
Does anyone know how to keep the music album cover art from displaying when the screen is locked.
Without losing the play/pause and next buttons on the lock screen?
I really do not want a image popping up when I turn on my phone, that I have no control over.
So far I know Play music and Rhapsody both show the cover art when music is playing
spotify does not seem to download cover art, so it works

Spotify has downloaded cover art for me and does cover my lockscreen, in fact. The only work around i've found, I added a widget to my lockscreen (by enabling widgets on lockscreen, stock feature) and flipping to that app while I have music playing. That way I can switch back and forth when I want to skip track/pause.
I don't think we'll do exactly what we want here without switching ROMs.
Curious as to why you wouldn't want them to show? I thought this was a great addition.
Yeah I actually love the addition of showing the album artwork when music is playing. Doubletwist does it too, but randomly it'll I guess glitch out and then it won't show the controls or the artwork even though music is playing.
Anyone find a way to fix this problem?

Hey guys, just got a Moto X and love it. But yesterday night when I was playing music, I unlocked the phone and the album artwork is missing..
The pause and skip buttons appear and work just fine its just the album artwork is gone along with the song title and everything, only shows my wallpaper with the screen controls.
Is there any reason as to why this happened/a fix?
Thanks for any help!

I got this problem the other day, it was gone when I rebooted the phone, but since the last update, my play music doesn't change the song's name when it is playing with the screen locked and I can't get it to work properly :/
I've had this issue from day 1 on Kitkat 4.4. A simple reboot fixes the issue but I believe it has more to do with the Play Music App itself and less to do with the phone. I have not found a permanent fix, but I have however notice the issue is more prevalent when connecting and disconnecting, Bluetooth Audio or connecting or disconnecting headphones with built in controls.
Hi all,
Due to the lack of storage space on my Moto G 3rd generation, I am unable to hold a large quantity of music on my phone. I have sorted all my music in playlists on YouTube which is great when I am using my laptop as there is a shuffle feature. But when I use my phone, I cannot listen to music on YouTube unless the phone is unlocked and the screen active. This causes problems when my phone is in my pocket as the app sometimes closes or some songs are accidentally skipped. As soon as I lock my phone, YouTube playback stops instantly and I have to unlock the phone to play the video again.
Is there anyway that I can enable playback on YouTube while my phone is locked? Ideally, the playlist would continue to play in order while my phone is locked. Or alternatively, is there a way of keeping the phone unlocked and making it so that the app is not affected? Is there an app that can be installed which will allow this?
Unfortunately, YouTube Red is not available in my country so that is not an option.

or if u are rooted and xposed..youtubebackgroundplayback module.
Hi all, I noticed that if I play audio files, present on the phone and accessible via "My files", therefore via the player supplied with the Nord 2T, after 30 seconds in which the screen is active, playback stops and upon unlocking the screen the track returned to the beginning.
Do you know if there is a way to allow media playback even after screen lock?
