I was surfing HTC's website and noticed that there was a newer version released for the ATT Tilt. The version is Update - Version 3.57.502.2 Release Date: 2008-08-21
I know the date is older but I was wondering if there are roms out there with newer cores than this one?
Hi,
The wiki has all the official releases (at least the ones we know of) here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_ROMs
It looks to be the latest AT&T build.
Thanks
Dave
Thanks for the info. I think I asked the question incorrectly. I have seen other rom versions but I think they may be from other devices. I read through some threads but after reading through some more I found the answers I was looking for. Thanks again for your time.

Kewl, no probs.
Were you meaning to asking about Build numbers and OS versions per chance ??
Dave
Yes thank you. That is what I meant to ask. I was revering to the build and OS. Any ideas?

The later OS build come from other devices and are ported to the Kaiser. The latest build isn't always the best, especially now WM6.5 beta's have arrived

Has anyone seen the official AT&T WM6 release for the 8525 that was made available this morning? I can't help but wonder if this release could be ported over to the 8125..... Any Ideas?
I haven't seen the release numbers for it, but some of the roms we have now are ports of the leaks of this rom (as I understand it).
Here is the page link:
http://www.america.htc.com/support/8525/software-downloads.html
I guess what I'm looking for is a ROM based on the official ROM, Then I can decide what to keep and add. I've tried a couple of ROM's (TNT 5.0, XDA6) and even the light versions seem to much and seem to slow down my 8125.. Any suggestions?
Can this "os.nb" extracted from the ROM, be used with the Wizard? It doesn't seem like it because it's huge! 72MB. Either there's a whole lot more to it than the Wizard ROMs that I'm used to or it's filled with an incredible amount of bloat? Is the 8525 that much different?
How do you get the .nbf out of the .exe??

well you won't get a .nbf file out of this exe, but a .nbh file as it's a FW for the 8525 ...
you can use WinZIP for example (2 times ).

I ported this rom this morning. Its an older build but I'm impressed with the speed. After soft reset it has approximately 30~31 mb free with a 6mb page pool. There's no windows live and no onenote mobile but this doesnt bother me in the slightest. I'm keeping this rom for a while.

There's an extended rom and a radio. These two increase the size of the rom.

How about maybe the Radio/GSM will actually work on AT&T unlike any other build other than the loon's 318 which does work.
I would like to see an official build as well. Much more stable in general.
Thanks all! I for one would love to see this rom, This may be the exact rom I've been looking for. Again thanks to all who have responded!

if im not wrong this rom ver is old
This is the link to the HTC website for the 8525:
http://www.america.htc.com/support/8525/software-downloads.html
I've attached a screen of the ROM ver and date.
It shows:
ROM version 3.62.502.3
ROM date 10/11/07
Radio version 1.54.07.00
Is this old? What versions are in the current ROM's on XDA?
Thanks

The build number is 18128.4.4. Currently the latest build available to wizard users is 18533, so technically speaking the AT&T build is old. That being said, I'm not one of those people who have to have the latest rom, I like my roms quick and stable regardless of how old people might think they are.

Well then for the Sake of Speed and Stability, Please release the ported rom. You have made your own grounds for release.
Thank you in advance.
I'll second that. Unless you're on dial-up, you might as well post.

Peter, if you have this ROM in kitchen form, would you be willing to share it? I could dump it, but my tools to dump Hermes ROM's are on another computer, and I'd like to simply take a look at the OEM folder of this ROM.
I have this in kitchen format on my work machine (won't have access to it till Monday), but how do you port from one device to another?
Is it as simple as replacing the device-specific files from a Wizard WM6? If so, I had found a list of device-specific files, but I don't know if this list is correct or comprehensive. Anyone know?
cecompr.dll
ceddk.dll
nk.exe
HtcPm.dl
relfsd.dlll
TrueFFS.dll
ROMHDR.txt
PARTHDR.txt
boot.hv
boot.rgu
Hi all,
Is there a place that lists the best RADIO for Dutty's last release? I'm currently using 1.65.14.06 and it's not playing well with my Tilt Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Bryan
oh, you mean the radio!
depends on what version of ROM you have flashed
go back to the ROM release thread, compatible radios are usually mentioned in the 2nd post that follows the release post
there is also a radio-centric post which details out which ROM plays well with which radios
you might as well use "search" function provided generously by the forums
thanks for the response. how would I go about downloading these recommended roms? most people list the roms, but not a place to download them.
Thanks!

(not ROM... RADIO)
There is a post at the top of this thread... it says "read before posting".. you should... read before posting.
Sigh, I hardly consider myself a newb, but in fact I was speaking of radio, I just mistyped -- several times. I hang my head in shame. Thanks for the insight ericmcintire, I'll try the radio you recommended!
Activity seems to have gone down lately.
Any word on on a ROM based on the latest xperia build?

If so count me in as a tester!

Hi,
Can anyone point me to Official OEM HTC ROM English and/or Portuguese?
It's my first post on Kaiser's thread, so forgive me if the answer to my question is on another place.
Thanks.

Or people could, ya know, check out HTC's website. I mean, I know it's highly unlikely that such a small business would have a website, much less keep it up to date with official ROMs and downloads...
