Hi there,
I am looking for a program that will let me connect my Fuze to PC and be able to read texts and send text out without having to reach over to the phone and use the phone. Motorola has a program but cant remember what its called or if it will work with the HTC Fuze. If anyone knows of a program that will do this please let me know. I am constantly unplugging the phone and texting and then connecting it back up or just using the phone with the cable connected. Not fun.
Thank For your time

One thing I miss :
I used to pair my nokia with the laptop - and happily send txt messages from from my pc - with the benefit of the full keyboard, and the phone discreetly in my pocket.
Is there something for Windows that'll let me do that ?
thanks and all the very best to you.

ms have a free tool which will let you remote cntl your pda from the pc

In end I found something called Pocket Controller from SOTI software. 35 bucks - but works just great.
When I'm at the laptop, I can initiate a call in my bluetooth earpiece without take my hands from keyboard.
Hi all,
I have a problem I'm hoping someone can help me with.
My t-mobile wing's screen has gone bust, and I am trying to get my contacts and calendar from it. I can not use active sync in XP, but I can get it connected to a laptop running Vista. I was able to copy the PIM.VOL out of it.
Is there a program that can extract the info from this file?
I have heard of ppcbackup.exe but when I try to install that on my pc, i get an error message saying this is not a win32 application. Your help is greatly appreciated!
In your case, I would use SOTI POCKET CONTROLLER since your device still starts up. Itbrings your device's screen to your desktop.
SOTI POCKET CONTROLLER is commercial but you can use their TRIAL VERSION for this particular circumstances.
You can connect via USB (ActiveSync, WMDC), Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
awesome, thanks!
Hi, I wonder if anyone could advise me here?
I am looking at buying a PDA (have been looking at a TyTN 2) it´s main use will be for connecting to my PC when I am away from home.
I have tried an iphone with logmein ignition which was OK but I prefer something with buttons I can press rather than a touch screen!
The most important thing for me is that I need the fastest possible program to connect the two devices. In your experience what would be the fastest method of connection? would an off the shelf application like logmein be fast or is there a faster method like a dedicated VPN tunnel or such like?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Connecting with a view to doing what?

Welcome to the forum
If you trying to connect to a remote computer from your PDA the best way is logmein (At least for me)
If it´s to connect PDA and lap top in the same place use WMDC or Activesync
Hi
I don´t need to control the pc at home. My partner will be at home and will be working on the pc. I will be in a different city or country. The PDA will be linked to the pc through wifi or 3g and at certain intervals I will need to press "enter" which will then activate "enter" on the pc. In effect I will be using the PDA as a mouse.
The important factor is the time delay between me pressing the button and it registering on the pc. I want this to be as close to real time as possible.
Any suggestions what would be the best way of setting this up?
Many thanks
I use realvnc to connect to my computer that's running ultravnc. Its in real time and allows me to do just about anything i need to do remotely.
I've successfully gotten the Pandora app to work great on my HTC Touch Pro 2 phone (WinMo 6.5) following advice from another thread here, and have a device adapter for my larger computer speakers...it sounds great! Thanks!!
However...whenever I'm listening (at work) and connect the phone to my computer (via USB), Pandora stops working! In the Microsoft ActiveSync Connection Settings, I even have "allow wireless connection to device when connected to the desktop" selected, but selected or not, it still stops playing when I connect it to my computer. (I want to keep it connected so the battery stays charged).
So basically, I want to listen to Pandora thru my phone and keep it charging at the same time. (It charges as it's connected thru USB. I can't listen to Pandora thru my work computer, cuz it's blocked by a Barracuda filter.) Is it somehow reading my phone as an extra drive? If so, is there a way to turn this on and off as needed?
Any clues on how to fix this? Keep it simple, cuz I am a newbie when it comes to messing with this stuff.
Thanx!
(sorry if this question has been posted before...I couldn't find anything on it...)
app is nice! being able to have phone on the charger and still respond to text messages is nice and handy as it allows me to respond quickly and painlessly. It also allows managing contacts more easily in that I can do it from the keyboard. The webcam feature I'm liking...must find some nefarious way to use this The file manager totally pwns. I can't tell you the number of times I've had to get the usb cable from my charger to connect it to my pc to transfer a file then disconnecting from my pc to transfer it back to the phone. One word of caution though. You'll need to root your phone to take advantage of some of the more advance features. I just got a new phone today, photon 4g, and can't wait to see this in action. Mad props to dev.
