HELP! Potential bricked phone in need of LIFE - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

A few days ago my brother tried flashing his phone, but something went wrong and it has been stuck on the bootloader screen and it says:
RUUNBH
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.93.0000
CPLD-8
and on the bottom it says USB if its connected and Serial if not.
I've tried flashing new roms and new HardSPL's with USB and the SD card. When I tried with the SD card I get stuck on a white screen the just said "Loading..." with various SPL's and Roms. When I tried with USB it either stays at 0%, goes to 1% and resets, or nothing happens at all depending on the file I'm trying to flash. I also tried using mtty on two different PC's, one with XP and one with Vista, but they both say USB port can not open and I've also tried every COM port too. I've exhausted every possible option I could to save my brother's phone but I can't even get it out of the bootloader screen. If you can, please help me out. Thanks.

I can't help you much look around at the stickies
Though for me everything went perfert but the bootloader thing is a bit strange.
As in the screen goes stripe colours then goes blank for a bit then comes up stripe colours then resets, when the screen went off I thought it might be done but left it for 10+ mins before touching it again.
maybe try redoing the bootloader.

I tried that as well, but after about 15 minutes I figured it wasn't going to work

did ya try flashing back a factory ROM??
*snorrrrrrrrr*

yes i've tried it but the percentage bar just gets to 1% then the phone just restarts

Failed WM6 Update - Universal USB no longer recognised

I flashed my XDA Exec with Leo's V7 Videocall ROM which all appeared to go fine until I performed the hard reset to reinstall.
It rebooted to the white screen asking you to press 0 to reinstall or X to exit, so I pressed 0. The screen briefly displayed a 'clearing' message and then went blank. There is no further response from the unit from any input except when I try to hard reset the device and reinstall again.
Just soft resetting the device only continues to give a blank screen and trying to power on the device in a normal manner also only gives a blank screen.
Windows XP fails to recognise the device when it is plugged in via USB either at the hard reset screen or soft reset or complete power off (remove battery, etc) then power on.
I updated to ActiveSync45 prior to the first hard reset.
Does anybody have suggestions or ideas on how to un-brick this Universal?
seems broken DOC chip. how many years you UNIVERSAL
It's about 18 months old now.
What is the DOC chip and why would it only fail at an upgrade?
Try a re-flash
Hi have you tried re-flashing the device?
Enter BootLoader mode, hold Power & BackLight button & press Reset, this will show Serial or USB on the screen. Start the flash off again or try another Rom (maybe the one you have is corrupt)
Cheers,
Beat
Hi Beast,
Yeah, I stumbled across these instructions today (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Instructions for those stuck on Boot Screen) and will give that a go tonight when I get home.
Thanks for the suggestion - I'll report back once I've tried it.
jamver - did you charge before flashing your new BIOS? it can go blank just because the battery could be dying and despite seeing some charge in the indicator, in fact the batt would be exhausted.
Hi jamver, I also encountered the same issue as you a few months back. Symptoms sound similar. I tried the points described in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289325
Also, upgraded my bootloader and the device came back to life. One thing I learned also is that not all USB cables are made the same. If you find one USB cable doesn't work, you may want to try another. (my case, using a poor quality cable resulted in the "serial" word on the screen not changing to "USB")
Good luck and all the best!
Fixed
Thanks for the help guys. Manually putting it into bootloader mode and re-flashing it worked.
WM6 is significantly faster than any image of WM5 I've used!
hello,
i've ever meet this problem.. but after reflashing in bootloader mode all restart pefect !

Having trouble flashing....

I'm trying to flash Dutty's hybrid 6.1 ROM via microSD card and I'm having some trouble. While it's flashing the bar at the bottom loads all of the way and then seems to stop right before finishing. I'm tried it three times and each time the same thing happens... "Update in progress..." and the bar isn't moving anymore.
Any idea what's up? I've left it like this for several minutes and nothing happens. Also, if I can't get it to work, how do I get it out of the bootloader screen and back the regular OS?
bump.. I'm stuck in bootloader mode and cant get out!
what does it say on bootloader?
also leave battery out for 1min and see if it boots to os.

bootloader after batt install?

this is my first post
sorta new to htc, but i've worked some with flashing and working with motorolas, so i'm not totally new to all this. i've got an issue i haven't been able to find a thread about though. i've got a tilt/kaiser that got interupted during a file transfer and was going only to the "tri color" screen/ bootloader (i assume this is the bootloader screer). while in this screen active sync doesn't recognize the phone, but i've read that isn't really abnormal. i tried various hard spl jump spl "shots in the dark" but i haven't been able to figure out if there are actual programs that i need to use to install these roms, or if its supposed to just "work". mtty see's the thing sometimes, and doesn't other times. any how, after hours of messing around, i found that if i unplug the usb and bull the batter, then reinsert the battery and immediatly press the power button it boots. i thought i inadvertantly fixed it, but i tried to do a hard reset (soft keys, and stylus deal) and it went directly back to the multi colored screen. i pulled the batt and put it back in and didn't push anything and it went right to the same screen. i then pulled the back and did the immediate power button and it booted again.
so, all that to say, i know its not actually fixed, but active sync can see it now, so i assume my actual question needs to be: how do i actually "flash"/"reflash" the at&t rom and is that actually what i need to do?
the info on the tri color (and white, quad color??) screen is:
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8
and at the bottom it will read serial if the cable is unplugged and usb when it is
thanks in advance for any help
first i would try a hard reboot tto do this yuo have to hold down the two soft keys and hit the reset button with the stylist what you are doing is a soft reset try this and let me know what happen
after that you have to flash hard spl inorder to flash a new rom
You need to install hard spl before attempting to flash a new/cooked rom, see the kaiser wiki, flashing without hard spl will brick your phone. If you have already tried flashing then try mtty task 2a to restore to factory default. Check the Kaiser Wiki, all the info you need is there.
let me know if you need help with hard spl
sorry, i've been out of town and haven't had any time to mess with this problem. i'll do some more reading about hard spl and flashing before i go much farther. i did try the hard reset with the softkeys and stylus but it just went back to the multi colored screen i remember. i also remember that after sucessully getting it to actually boot three consecutive times by holding the power button briefly after inserting the battery, i tried it a fourth time and could never get it to start all the way back up. we'll see how it goes and i'll try to post something difinitive either way. thanks for your help so far.

iPaq hx2790 problem

Hi,
I have an ipaq hx2790. Last time, it was completely out of battery ( this happened several times before, with no troubles at all). I charged it overnight.
After fully charged, I turned it on. It turned on normal. But when status bar ( the small bar running left from right when booting) run for about 1/10 of the whole bar. The screen slowly appeared small dot with different colors, and then lines, after all, it became green-dark color with vertical lines.
I tried to soft-reset, hard reset. The same thing happen. Funny thing is, when I connect this device to my computer, I can still browse it folder, SD card through Windows Mobile Based Device in My Computer.
My hx2790 is preload with WM5
First, I thought it's something to do with software. But after soft-reset, hard-reset, same thing happens. I tried to install WM5 official rom for hx2790 from HP. No thing changes. Screen ok at the very first part of boot up. Getting worse after that. I can still browse it folder from computer.
P/s: It was once, booted normal into windows mobile screen (but after about 5 seconds, its screen slowly become worse).
Anyone have any ideas what's happening?
Thanks.
You can try to flash WM6.1 for HX2000 series to see if the same thing happens:

If there's the same - then probably LCD is bad or there's something wrong with motherboard.
I'm downloading the file.
I dont know whether it's LCD problem 'cause when at the very first of booting and in Pre-BL mode, it displays perfectly. Especially in Pre-BL mode and during the ROM update process, nothing's wrong with it.
I'll inform the result with this new ROM soon
Thanks.
Ok
I have had similar problems when there is something wrong with Windows upadate (ROM) file. Screen just fades out on starup
ROM Update was successful but can't help

Diagnosis: bricked?

Used Windroid Universal Android Toolkit to unlock bootloader and flash twrp. All went fine.
Then I tried to gain root by flashing supersu, also with the same toolkit.
Then I got a android figure with a warning sign.
Can't remember exactly what happened then, but after that I can't power on, screen stays black whatever I do.
Charging I going fine though, charging led is green.
My desktop recognizes when the tablet is connected with usb, but I can't login with the toolkit.
Any idea what I could do or is the diagnosis: bircked?
Can you get into the bootloder? If so you are not bricked you can reflash the firmware
No, I'm not able to get into the bootloader, screen stays black, whatever I try.
Some change now.
While charging the battery, don't know how it became empty, the display shows a charging battery...
Wait till the battery is full, and then try some things again.
So happy! My problem is solved.
Here is what I did what resulted in my problem solving.
First I opened the back panel to see if the battery was all right.
After that my battery was empty, and I started loading my battery with the Nvidia adapter.
The screen showed a loading battery figure. After that I was able to boot into android as well as in the bootloader.
