[help] how to take cantacts, tasks, and calender from Tytn II to Fuze..??? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

hi guys,
I upgraded from Tytn II (tilt) to HTC Fuze. Everything are wonderful and love my new Fuze. However, I have one problem about transferring my contacts, tasks, and calendar appointments to my new Fuze. I did backup by Spb backup and put the file in memory card. Then, I put the memory card in Fuze and did restore to the file, but nothing appear in Fuze !!!!!!
I don't know is this wrong way to transfer them? is there another way?

i've seen some questions before, but comeon
try searching harder its here

try reading the manual
try "activesync"

Try PIM Backup. worked for going from my wizard to my fuze

Signup for an exchange account. It's the easiest way I've ever found to carry my contacts over easily between phones and post ROM flash - especially if you're contract is a flat internet rate.
I'm currently running Touch Pro, with a StrTrk as backup for when I don't want to carry the Pro out, and a Typhoon for when I'm in a candybar mood. All of them are set to sync to my exchange server, so I don't ever need to worry about one phone having someone's old number - just pop my SIM in and go out.
I've got a mail2web account - it's only Exchange 2003 but it's free and that's the bit that's important to me!

Just use PIM backup.

mail2web
you can create a free exchange account at mail2web.com and transfer your contacts. You can then sync them to the new phone. They even have cab files for setting up your device.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my post. I will try both it is always good to have a great backup of your contacts!!

mail2web is awesome. use it.

2125 contacts backup question

I need to update the rom on my girlfriends phone as it thinks daylight savings happened today and it's annoying her and the rom is the one that came with the phone 1.5 years ago.
She's never backed up to activesync.
I downloaded and installed the newest active sync on her computer. (mine is running fine for my Tilt and i didnt want contacts to get all combined)
It finds her phone fine. But it doesnt show any contacts in outlook. contacts is selected in the list of things to back up.
help!~
oh~my english is verypool~do not quite understand
2125 contacts don't sync to Outlook
I am having this same problem with my wife's phone. I saw where the office service pack needed to be a certain minimum level, but I took care of that and it still doesn't work.
PIM Backup is no solution for you ?
back up your contacts to the SIM. If you need more detailed back up use PIM back-up as Peter says.
You can find PIM back up in the developing and hacking forum, if I recall correctly.
I think the most comfortable way of backing up your contacts is via mail2web. just create an account and add their exchange server to your activesync settings.
there's no need for extra-software to do this.

Bringing in Contacts from Tilt to Fuze

I should be getting a Fuze shortly and wanted to know if using PIMbackup would copy the contacts and messages over to the Fuze with no problem?
Or what is the best way to bring over the contacts complete? (since I have emails, addresses, etc- so no SIM transfer)
pim back up works well. ive never has a problem and works for more than contacts. or you could use active sync.

so importing from the Tilt to the Fuze using PIM backup works without any issues?
contacts works fine
but for my messages when i restore it does them all received first then sent in threaded so i dont bother
A couple more options for ya...
I always use my exchange server to back up my contacts/calendar. Just put the ES info in Activesync on your Fuze and it'll load everything automatically. Mail2web is a good free server.
Or you can just copy the "pim" file from the root directory of your Tilt to a storage card, and then replace the one on your Fuze with it.

Need help: Transporting Outlook contacts from one device to the other

Hey.
I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue I'm having.
Today I'm buying the HTC Touch HD because my good old HTC Tytn is broken. I am planning to use the Touch HD immediately but I don't have access to my computers containing my personal Outlook files for the next two weeks (I'm on the road for work and having a holiday right after) so I can't use activesync to upload all my contacts onto the Touch HD.
So I thought I'd copy the outlook contacts file or folder (it isn't a .pst file is it?) onto the SD card from my Tytn and place it into the HD and paste the outlook file/folder into the right place.
Is this possible and can anyone tell me where I can find these Outlook files on my device?
thanks!
Cruise.
Hmmm... think that files are not available...
But you could try some backup tool, like one in my signature...
Agree, use PIM BackUp, it's on here somewhere, not only will it backup your contacts but messages and calendar as well.
and call history

[Q] Importing data from Windows Mobile?

Hello all,
I've purchased today an HTC Inspire via eBay, and i was wondering, is there a way to transfer my data (contacts/sms/other stuff) from Windows Mobile 6.5 (previous HTC Touch Pro 2) to the Inspire's Android system?
Thank you

Don't know if you can transfer sms though. Pics and music can be transferred using the USB cord.
To export contacts you could use Thunderbird.
It does a fairly good job exporting WinMo contacts to CSV. Pending how many iterations of MS Exchange Servers you went through you may have to edit the Excel (CSV) file or edit the contacts later on in google's contact manager. If you decide to edit the CSV it's a little bit trial and error before everything fits to googles format but it's worth the effort (I have ~1200 contacts and had to edit perhaps 150 manually after the import). SMS's will be lost, pictures can be copied manually.
Thanks, all... but on the emotion of having my htc inspire with me, i didn't even back up my contacts
If you sync with Outlook, HTC sync will work with syncing contacts & calendar. It may cause duplication though.
For sms, install SMS backup on both winmo & android.
Outlook task won't sync though.
