you can map this to a button using the regular windows mobile start/settings/buttons/
or you can map to it using HButton (you can find it in the forum)
Thank you, this was great.
Do you know a programm witch can switch on/off the light of the omnia?
nope sorry. don't have omnia..
you can try vjvolubilis.
then put the link in your menu under start.
So you can get to it fast.

Finally I can run Fakecursor and use TomTom etc to the full.
However I cannot switch the program off!!
Have got SmartToolKit and Xbar3 and neither seem to help.
There must be a solution to taking the battery out?
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Paul
just press the home button twice
same problem and more
I also would love to use fake cursor for tomtom and igo 2008. I´ll try the suggested method to turn it off. Also i´d like to know how to configure it. I just can´t assign functions to the buttons.
I have a Verizon xv6800 and tried "Pocket Light" and it doesn't turn on that bulb. Also VJCandela doesn't do anything.
Anyone find a way in the registry or find a program to quickly turn on the small light bulb??

Hi Borg. Check my signture link. I have a link for nuelight3 which allows you to use the light bulb on the camera as a flashlight. I am using it on my xv6800now.
Good Luck.
hTorch worls GREAT!!! and can be found here on XDA
Hey Juke can you possibly supply the cab for nuelight? The link to download it is broken on the page I found...
Nevermind I found it elsewhere. It works perfect! I mapped it to a button. My top left button is Gmail (java), my internet button is Skyfire, my "button 5" is volume control in S2U2, my "Hold button 5" is the light bulb, my button underneath the power off button is Task Facade for easy switching, and my camera button remains the same.
SURE. Here it is.

UPDATE: Tested myself: no it doesn't work for HTC Wizard
Probably it has been already asked but i cannot find anything with the search funcion...
Where can i find the .exe files that simply turn on or off a connection?
I mean the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3g and similar.
Are there in the forum such kind of files?
I'm not a programmer, i'd like to have those files to associate them with buttons.
Thanks
AE Button Plus
You can map keys with a lil program called AE Button Plus which you can map to a program or do something like wifi on/of bluetooth etc.
If you dont have a touch screen beware as you may be looking at a hard reset.
Go to the website in my signature then ctrl + f for aeb
Have a look at Fabliv's Action Screen

Not excatly what you're asking, but mich be the answer you want.
Thank you mcspikesky for linking me AEbutton, i know that but is not exactly what i'm looking for;
i need executable that can also run with softkey association...
Thank you also to k1sr, this is really interesting...
However i found VJvolubilis that for wi-fi and bluetooh works well.
I only need .exe (or .lnk) that turn on/off the Phone.
I tried VJPhoneToggle but it doesn't shut down the phone...
Hi everyone,
Do you know any free application that allows the user to turn off the device without pressing any hardware button (just like you do on a real PC) ?
Maybe is it possible to do it with WM 6.5 ?

I'm using NRG's rom and it has got a backlight program (I think it's standard for wm 6.1/5). Open the program and click on menu, there you can click on SCREEN OFF. The screen will then turn off.
Cheers!
Thanks for the answer but I'm not searching for an app to turn off the screen but to turn the whole phone off.
Can you you think of any app compatible with the diamond 2 ?

Oh ok...yes no problem.
Try this application, works very well. Just install it and when you click on it, it will turn off your phone.
Cheers!
Or you could try this app - its a 12 button action screen which includes a button to turn off the phone - very useful and works great on topaz phones
Thanks a lot both of you
"TD2ShutDown.CAB" was the exact file I was looking for simple & efficient. Thanks a lot Lobo81.
Did you program the file yourself ?
You're welcome!!
No, I did not program the application, all credit goes to the maker. I have no idea from whom it is, I got it in this forum though.
Greets!
Hi guys,
I really tried to find it out on my own first, but it seems that Im not skilled enough to do that.
After installation of S2U2 everything is working flawlessly. After some (set) period of time, s2u2 will lock screen correctly. Even power button will lock device using s2u2 application. But that damn "lock" button in startmenu will lock screen with classic WM lockscreen. I know it is not some bug and its normal, but question is:
1. Is there any way how to remap even lock button to s2u2 application?
2. Or, is there any way how to disable this button and make it invisible?
Solution for first one would be awesome.
Thank you!
EDIT: Sorry for my bad english language.
Same here
+1 for this idea. I have the same problem, really annoying. After I've installed the" move slider to bottom" .cab and shortly after uninstalling this .cab I found out that the original default slider had been disabled and some kind of cheap unlock-button has came in place of the original slider. I couldn't get this original slider to work again so I've installed S2U2. But after installation and configuration of S2U2 I've noticed that the original slider also is active. In other words the S2U2 app is working perfectly, but is working simultaneously with the standard onlock button. (#@^%^$%)
How can I turn this off?!?
(edit: now the unlock button appears randomly and not every time I unlock the phone with S2U2. But it' s still annoying enough to want to have it disabled.) Anyone?

Well, its little different issue than I have in my mind, but it was same on my device. I have found solution for your issue in S2U2 FAQs:
Q. How to disable the WM6.5 built-in lock?
A. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4996782&postcount=2961
First install cab from that link and then install S2U2. Issue with double lockscreen (first s2u2 and after unlock present second standard WM locksreen) should dissapear.
BUT, if you click on "Lock" button in startmenu. Device will be locked with standard WM locksreen not S2u2.
NOTE That phone power button and time-lock are working with S2U2 perfectly... I just want to remap event this button for S2U2.
I'm looking exactly for the same functionnality!
Good idea
Anybody got a trick to map or hide this "unlock" button?
+1 i like this function too

the new version of s2u2, 2.30, does that for you, remaps the lock button inside the start menu to s2u2.
