I recently received a G3B0 Thumbpad advertised to work with o2 XDA II and iMate.
Unfortunately it looks like the product is for the original o2 XDA (although the product still fits in the USB slot).
Are they any drivers that will work with my imate (which has stock WM2003 fw)?
This is the auction I got it from (which clearly advertises its for XDAII and iMate):

EDIT: I am actually considering updating my PPC's ROM.
I was wondering if there were any WM5 or WM6 drivers.

Hi, I am newbie to this board and I was hopeing some of you could advise me on the purchase of imate PC phone, looking at the spec's it is the same as XDA II is this true???
I have been given the offer of purchasing the imate fully unlocked, will it be OK to use in the UK????
How good is the support for the imate compared to o2 xda ii I have read a few nightmare threads about the support of the xda ii but very little on the imate.
Apologies if I have posted in the wrong forum.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

all imate, xda2, mda2, qtek2020 are triband phones so they work everywhere where you can get gsm support just like a normal cellphone
Which is the best phone to purchase for use in the U.S. on ATT wireless network? xda2 imate mdaII? I am a newbie so if addressed previously give me a break. I had a sx56 previously and am interested in upgrading.
They really are the same machine, so all will work equally well in the US. I think that O2 adds a good bit of software on the XDA II that will be useless with AT&T. The MDA II is a T-Mobile (Germany) branded device and the previous statement may be true of it as well.
I went with the i-mate, and I believe it has less provider-specific software than any of the others (the QTek 2020 is the same device as well). I have been happy with the quick release of updates on the Club i-mate website and very happy with the device.
The important thing to make sure of with any of these devices is that it is unlocked - that is, not locked to a specific provider (phone company).
And if it is locked..is cheaper.
Then you can unlock it and chnage from I-mate,O2,T-Mobile companies when you want.
Just found the O2 Orbit 2 on the Business site:

Nice to see O2 have got the specs correct
they say it has wm5 on it
that isn't correct

Yeah! and no QuickGPS
Does anyone know if the phone comes with the same wired remote as the HTC version?
O2 are listing an 'O2 Xda Orbit 2' and an 'O2 Xda Orbit 2 with Sat Nav'. The one with satnav mentions built in GPS, so I don't think it just means software.
I presume the one without satnav will be cheaper, so have O2 disabled the GPS in one model, if so can it be reconfigured?
I dont think its disabled, but doesnt come with map's, car kit, windscreen holder etc.
Correct me if Im wrong
o2 Orbit II
Took delivery of mine today came with Co-Pilot pre-installed, windscreen mount, car charger, 1GB micro SD. It's got the FM radio back, (Stellar doesn't) and works perfectly with my 8GB SD card, in all perfect...

Certainly does...
Hey all,
Don't know if anyone would be interested in knowing this bit of info, but this week I upgraded from an o2 mini s (wizard) to an o2 Stellar (TYTN II) and was a bit dissapointed that it was still running WM6. However, I contacted O2 xda tech services to ask about an upgrade to WM6.1, and they let me know that a WM6.1 ROM is being worked on now and should be available this month.

Is it worth buying an Imate Jasjam with Windows mobile 5
if yes then how much is max payable.
It's a nice device, however are you looking to buy a new one or a used one?
Yes, the JASJAM is in fact nicer than the HTC TyTN. The JASJAM has a transflective display while the latest TyTN's on sale here in Oman have transmissive displays. Only after buying a TyTN did I realise why the JASJAM is a little more expensive.
Imate JasJam
buying a used one , is it worth for price 190US$ . And i need to know if anyone successfully upgraded it to Windows Mobile 6. i read most posts but no one explicitly said upgraded imate.
