Rumour: Launch Windows mobile 6.5 next month? - General Topics

"Microsoft is planning to unveil three new mobile services at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona next month. The software giant is aiming to move your mobile data into the cloud and rival Apple's MobileMe service."
Microsoft is also expected to unveil Windows Mobile 6.5 at the MWC. Neowin revealed in November that 6.5 was being tested by device partners and would be unveiled in 2009 Q1. Little details are available on the 6.5 upgrade but we can confirm that those leaked 6.5 screenshots are genuine concept shots for the honeycomb web start menu.

Project: Control Windows Media Center using a WM5 Device

I recently came across this tutorial for writing an application that will allow you to control Media Center from your Windows Mobile 5 (and above, I guess) device over wi-fi.
You will need Visual Basic or Visual C# Express Editions, Windows Media Center SDK 5.0, and Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone SDK.
Looks like a fun project, but I've got exams in a few days' time, so will have to wait until the beginning of June to try it out I guess.

With the launch of Windows Phone 6.5 looming, phone addicts are already looking towards Microsoft’s next release, Windows Phone 7.
Although there are few details available about what improvements we’ll see with Windows Phone 7 - also known as Windows Mobile 7 - it has been hinted that the operating system will be aimed more at the consumer market, although Windows’ traditional business credentials will still remain under the surface.

Mobile Phone Market Shares for year of 2009 and last quarter 2009

As we head into the bloodbath of 2010.. So the final numbers are out for the 5 biggest handset makers for 2009 and for several smaller players as well. Some manufacturers like RIM (Blackberry) and ZTE report their quarters on 'odd' months ie they do not end their quarter in March/June/October/December, so with them we still have to wait a bit to know for sure, but the big picture is now clear. We know the full numbers for the full year 2009. And there have been changes. (Poor Motorola)

All android users know the answer.
