XDA1 as MP3

I have an XDA 1 and have been trying to copy CDs to it to use as an MP3 player. U used Windows Media Player to convert the CD but when I try to get it to copy to the XDA it says 'System Path not found'. I don't really understand the software or how I'm meant to do it. Can anyone help please? Thanks v much.
cant you just sync the files to the xda ?
or open activesync and choose explore and copy them to it`?
Are the files on the CD in mp3 format? if so, just copy them. (you can also adjust bitrate with SoundForge to reduce the size)
If you want to copy an AudioCD, in explorer (like Total Commander) you will only see links. Than it would take a little time to rip the CD...
Easiest method is to copy the files to an SD card and plug that in to the XDA, but I would use WMA rather than MP3.
WMA files tend to be about 1/2 the size of MP3 and the only problem that I have found is that they fail to accurately reproduce low volume, low frequency complex sound (try the intro to most early Metallica or Motorhead tracks - it is reproduced as a warbling sound).

How to create Media Player PLAYLISTS?

Hi all,
I'm trying to create or to copy my playlist from the computer to my Magician, but I couldn't! I don't know how to do it.
If I copy the .WPL from my PC to Magician, it doesn't open. When I'm using the Pocket Microsoft Media Player 10, my library have a lists of Playlists, but it's always empty and I don't know how to create one.
Can anyone help me please?
The playlists hold a definitive list of where a file is stored. If you have the stuff in "my music" then the files will be in c:\Documents And Settins\ (Username)\My Documents\My Music, and as such all files in the playlist will be listed in this location, and as this location does not exist in the device, it cannot find the files. You also need to copy the actual music files across, not just the wma files (Music files are mp3, wma, etc.)
If you want to use the device as an MP3 player, you should really get a storage card to store the music on.

I think you got me wrong. I already have a Storage Card and about 100 WMA files. The Library on MP is OK, but I have no Customized Playlists. That's what I want.
Got it?
Thanks!
Ok as to making playlists in Pocket Windows Media Player, i have no idea. i just had a look at my universal and i cant see the option.
Hoiwever, in the program that i use instead of WMP (Pocket music from pocketmind.com), you can make, view and edit playlist easily, plus it has a nice today screen plugin.
so one can not make new playlists in windows media player
The Pocket PC version of Windows Media Player does not allow you to create or edit playlists. But there is a freeware program for it!

[Q] Music transfer + converting?

Does anyone know of an app that will transfer music files wirelessly, from computer to phone, while at the same time converting it to a different format?
My dream is to scroll through my desktop's music directory on my phone and select music to copy to my phone. I'd like it to then convert the music files from .flac to .mp3 on my desktop and then transfer them to my phone. I would then be able to use any android music player to play the selected files.
Subsonic does this to a certain degree but the files that transfer over don't seem to like to be played in other music players.
TL: DR looking for an app that will transfer music files wirelessly, from computer to phone, while at the same time converting the files to .mp3
