what are you trying to unlock? you need to provide more information.

t-mobile google g1. i made factory reset. so i am stuck on emergency call screen.
i want to do this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452316
but when i write "adp shell" i take the error : no device found. as i told u i changed usb driver .
ADB Interface ->
HTC Dream
But still it cant find my g1

well first the post you list, is only applicable to RC28/rc29. what version is your phone? why did you factory reset? your phone has USB debugging disabled by default, this is why adb (not adp) shell doesnt work. you need to find someone that has a g1 feature sim card, or you need to change all your apns to wap.voicestream.com (if you are a t-mobile subscriber) otherwise you are stuck...i suggest you read through all the applicable posts before begging for help.

i dont know the version. how can i fix it ? i live in Turkey. and i am ready to do everything

To register without a data plan you can use the add-accounts.py in the tools directory of the SDK.
You will need python installed on your computer.

i installed python what should i do next ?

well i cant by pass google screen if i pass everything ok any solutions ?

run the add-accounts.py file and it should register with google.
do that by running ./add-accounts.py in a command prompt... you may need to run it in python thou.

but adb gives me error : device not found

did you try to flash your G1 with ADP1 ? v 1.31

I believe this bypasses adb... but I could be wrong
Or you can flash the 1.1 version but you need fastboot which I doubt you have yet.

i am just trying it but i couldnt find how can i do it.
now i am trying to downgrade. bec before i format my android i updated my OS.(i guess only)
Now i am trying to downgrade. we will se the result in a few mins

ok i find the problem at least.
i dont have root....
any ideas how can i root with unregistered android ?

search the Forums buddy, it's every where

but i dont have root access. and i cant see the home screen

are you able to access fastboot? if you don't, try to flash it with ADP1

Please change your topic title so it makes sense!
Second you should read before flashing your device... ...you havn't provide us with enough info, is your device CID unlocked? What SPL version do you have, do you have an G3 of G4 device?
Did you try to turn on your device and on the 3 color screen execute the PDAMobiz_Prophet_WM5AKU3.2_v3220 again?

I did it & connect to usb but when i execute the PDAMobiz_Prophet_WM5AKU3.2_v3220 it's show me No Device Connect
Thanks for you
You had to CID unlock your phone first!
The only thing you can do I guess is install the NoVendorID Asia version for the Dopod.
You can't install the PDAMobiz ROM because there has to be an AS connection.
Try looking for: RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID.zip on the XDA ftp.
Thanks
But Can you Tell me how to Unlock CID (What does mean CID?)

You should try to flash your device with the ROM mentioned before.
After that you can try to CID Unlock your phone:

Do I NEED origional oem rom to flash to Windows Mobile 6?

Hello,
I am new to XDA and im getting ready to attempt, for the first time, flashing one of my phones to WM6. First of all Ive read the forum rules.ive gone through the tutorials and i have a decent understanding of how to unlock the CID and how to flash the phone. But after hours of searching i havent found a concrete answer to a question or 2.
I have a P4300 (110) running WM5. Its a G4 model as on startup it say 2.28.0001. This was purchased from a small cell phone company named UNICEL which is no longer in business and the phone has a UNICEL splash screen.
Since this company is not in business im unable to get the origional oem rom. Unless someone knows something i dont. Ive searched XDA, googled it, went to htc.com and got nothing.
Which brings me to my question. Is it imperitive that i have the origional oem rom? Or if i just unlock the CID will i then be able to flash to a wm6 rom? The SIM is already unlocked.
Also one last question. Im not sure how to correctly get into bootloader mode. I read some tutorials and it gave the same options as doing a hard reset. Is that considered the same thing?
Anyways sorry for the novel. Ive just been unable to find an answer for this searching xda and google. Thanks!
Oh and I fogot to mention im actually going to upgrade to WM6.1. Not that it makes a difference. But figured id mention it...
*** UPDATE ***
Ok.. I got the phone in bootloader mode finally. But now I'm having trouble syncing my phone in bootloader mode. I have windows VISTA and i know activesync has been replaced with Windows Mobile Device Center. I followed this tutorial --- > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338473 to a T. And it still doesnt work. I can see the windows mobile device in Device manager. But windows mobile device center won't connect to it, and i tried running Hard SPL and it cannot find the device either. Is there a new way to go about this in Vista? I noticed this tutorial was a bit aged.
Thanks!
Connect your phone to the usb cable... go to my computer -> right click -> Manage... Then go to Device Manager and click on anything from that list and than click that little icon -> scan for hardware changes... than it detects your phone... this is how it works for me... i have to do it every time i connect my phone... and hope it works for you to...
and... if you decided to flash to a new ROM... go to http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Wizard Windows Mobile 6 for newbies and follow the guide.
don`t put the phone in bootloader mode when you try to sync with the pc... it won`t detect it... when you will start the RUU then it will go it self in bootloader...

[Q] Help please.... limited service after rom install

can anyone help with this problem as its doing my head in lol ive flashed loads of roms and flashed the ics rom which i have done before but this time for some reason i have LIMITED SERVICE so installed official stock europe ruu rom and still LIMITED SERVICE can anyone help please...
Have ou flashed an ics base/firmware ( like 3.24,3.25,3.30 and 3.30) before to flash the ics rom?
no i didn`t is there a way to fix this?
just checked and my bootloader now says LOCKED and i unlocked it a few days ago from htc website
desperate for help now as i can`t even fastboot root or run revolutionary to get unlocked again and when i use htc official bootloader unlock it allows me to get to the unlock screen where it says up/down to unlock bootloader but only lets me enter the no for don`t unlock as when i try to select unlock bootloader the power button doesn`t do anything help
Locked can be becuase you have flashed a 3.25 firmware non-unlocked
It says locked but is only for fastboot command, the rest in unlocked
So my question is: have you flashed 3.24/25 firmware?
I don't understand why you have unlocked it with htcdev method...
i used RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.45.401.2_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_208857_signed.exe

Also, do you have superCID? Perhaps the radio version in the ruu you ran is conflicting with your device. If you perform superCID then you can flash any ruu, or any firmware, and try a different radio.
HTC.dev unlock does not let you flash radio.img, so I'm sure this is why the limited service problem is occurring.

OK, you have the engineering hboot there. It should just be a case of updating the firmware (and hence hboot) to whatever the rom requires.
Check the firmware/partitions info in dev forum.

tried everything now and stuck on what to do??? managed to download voda uk firmware from filecrop which took about 2hrs to download grrr can i send this back to voda and say the signal has gone??
ARHD recommends 3.32 firmware plus ext4 recovery. Try flashing both these (links in the rom thread) to see if it helps.
If not, run appropriate ruu, replicate the problem on stock rom, then by all means send it in!

Been trying all day and still no joy. Think i have figured out why i have limited service and think its because my imei number has changed somehow. And don't know how it happened. Can anyone give me a tutorial on how to write my imei number back.
Read this thread, someone else had the same thing happen, lost his IMEI and it is recoverable.

here is the solution

this is not the only block that has your imei #. it is also stored in mmcblk0p4 and mmcblk0p5.
since you're justy trying to recover your own imei and not change it to somebody else', i'll help you out.
i've altered this guide for the blocks that store our imei.
http://pastebin.com/BFSAZkVQ
#
1) Root Phone
#
2) Install Busybox (make sure its installed properly)
#
3) Install Android Terminal Emulator
#
4) have an sd card in and type the following command;
#
#
type in "su" (without quotation marks) in android terminal emulator to gain super user access.
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4 of=/mnt/sdcard/pa4.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 of=/mnt/sdcard/pa5.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 of=/mnt/sdcard/pa6.img
back these up (make a copy), just in case.
#
#
(this will copy the hidden partition to your sd card in a file called pa4,5,6.img)
#
#
5) Get a hex editor from the internet and open the file pa4,5,6.img. Locate the current imei # that you want to replace with your own imei (use the "find and replace option" of the hex editor). Change it to your personal imei #, but be aware if you change it to an actual imei of another phone you are essentially cloning that phone and will have problems.
#
#
6) Copy file back to sd card and put back in phone. Type this:
#
#
dd if=/mnt/sdcard/pa4.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4 (rewrites the partition with the image file you just edited)
dd if=/mnt/sdcard/pa5.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5
dd if=/mnt/sdcard/pa6.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6
#
#
7) reboot and pray.
once again, this guide is only meant to help people looking to restore their own imei numbers.
p.s. i'm surprised that your phone won't pick up any signal with the changed imei, though. unless it was blacklisted by your operator, it technically wouldn't matter what imei number it is. and it is very strange that your imei would change by just flashing a firmware and a rom.

read the entire thread because there was a second solution on the last page, good luck
I have tried everything i could think of and can`t go any further now i can`t even root/recovery the damn thing... it`s only about 4-5 days old so can i take it back to a vodafone store and say theres something wrong with it? will they just change it for a new one in store as its only a few days old or would they more than likely send it off for repair??

Vodafone uk give you 7 days to return and change for new or alternative handset.
i didn`t know if i should flash something on it to brick it as if they look at the mismatch imei number they might think its something ive done to the phone or should i leave it how it is...

It's a tricky one. Of course, it's entirely up to you what you decide to do, but you could just take it back to store as it is and say that there is something wrong with the handset. As it is under seven days old, they may just exchange it, no questions. Also, you often find that in store, they are not so clued up on flashing, rooting etc. so would not necessarily know what has been going on. But, you may be unlucky and get someone who is clued up. If this is the case, you may want to take the phone away with you and rethink what to do. You can always take it back to a different store (if you really want to purposely brick it). Another thing you can try, is speaking to vodafone customer care, and, again, because it's a new phone, they may just send you a new one at the same time time you send the faulty one back. (Vodafone did this with a faulty Nokia N900 I had) Entirely up to you.

[Q] Please help??

Hey, I have a HTC surround running windows 7.5 the os version is 7.10.7720.68
And I recently have tried to developer unlock my phone using chevronwp7.
But everytime I press unlock, it says I'm having problems connecting to your device, make sure it is pin unlocked and Zune is running; which it is. Can someone PLEASE guide me in the right direction? Thank you guys so much
Zune must be closed and your HTC should not be on the lock screen
Wrong thread!
I thought Zune must be OPEN. Anyways, I tried it without and it didn't work. Is my phone os too new? What else can I do? Thanks so much for your reply too

Have you installed Windows Phone SDK?
Have you installed Windows Phone Support Tool?
Have you installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4?
If yes read here ChevronWP7 Labs FAQ or contact support Chevron for solve your problem
Okay I'm still very new to windows phone 7, as I stated, I have wp7.5, os:7.10.7720.68.I have boot loader: 4.3.2250.0(128976). can someone please tell me how I would go about flashing a stock ruu? Do I have to mess with rspl/hspl yet? Please can someone help? I'm sorry for taking your time as well. Thank you much.
And also, sorry for being such a dreaded noob, but what application should I install for the bootloader mode when connect my surround in? Im on windows xp. Thanks again so much, I don't know what I would do without you guys.
Okayyyyy... a few things.
First. it looks like you're trying to use the original ChevronWP7 unlock. That tool is dead, and has been for over a year (it only worked on pre-NoDo ROMs). This is well documented. I'm not sure why people keep trying it... you'd think they'd read up a little before trying to use a hack on their phone.
Second. Why do you want to flash a stock ROM? (RUU = ROM Update Utility) In any case, the procedure is simple: turn the phone off, hold the Volume Down button, press Power to start the phone again. It'll boot to a screen with bands of color and yellow text. Next, connect it to the PC. You'll need the relevant drivers; Vista and up will install them automatically but for some reason you're still running an 11-year-old OS on your PC so you might need to install them manually (I think they are included with the Windows Mobile Device Center download from Microsoft). The phone should say USB at the bottom when it's connected; at that point just run the RUU program.
Thrid. RSPL / HSPL are replacement bootloaders for WP7. They allow installing custom ROMs. If you want to do that, you'll need to first downgrade your current bootloader; SPL 4.3 is too high for using RSPL. Since you're not on SPL 5.X yet, I think you can downgrade just by installing an older stock ROM or radio update. Otherwise, there are a number of guides for how to downgrade the SPL.
That's the reason I need to downgrade lol thanks
By chance, do you know the new way to unlock or do I have to flash a custom rom? Thanks
You are on a developer-locked HTC phone? The first option is to try getting dev-unlocked, for example by getting an AppHub account or a friend who has one. They're free for students (go through Dreamspark). The second option is to use a custom ROM. The third option is to wait until a new hack is found.
Once you're dev-unlocked, you can use the Interop-Unlock app from Heathcliff74 (the HTC one, specifically) to allow unlimited sideloading. Then, you can install WP7 Root Tools 0.9 to get nearly full access to the device.
Thanks so much. Will report back with results.
So sorry, but I did all the research I could and couldn't find an updated method of going through dreamspark. I registered and man I hate myself for this, but can anyone help me please?
EDIT: I am enjoying interop unlock on intrinsic ROM and I love it!!! Thank you all so much for your help! My next and hopefully last question is, is it okay to update my radio while I have hspl? Or do I have to ospl first thanks!

need help rooting my evo 4g ....

I know it's an old phone but I wanna root it. it's got gingerbread 2.3.5, hboot 2.18. I've tried the htc dev method, I'm having trouble b/c my device manager isn't saying htc bootloader under android devices, it just says "my htc", unfortunately b/c of the firmware I can't use unrevoked, so I've been trying this method. I've tried downloading the htc drivers, yet I still can't get the token info from the cmd prompt. Is there an easier way to do this, or at least a fix for my problem?
