Rare problem with an upgrade

Hi,
I tried to upgrade my Qtek S200 with the newest ROM release from PdaMobiz (the 16M pooling page one), but encountered some problems...
It's a Portuguese TMN Qtek (or at least it displays the operator logo when started), although the software is in English.
IPL is 2.09 and SPL is 2.15...
However, after upgrading it, it kept displaying the Operator logo with IPL and SPL, and freezed, so it never worked. When I tried to revert it, I wasn't able to do it, because every time I try to install a different ROM (all of them for the G3 device) it just installs the new ROM, and then goes to that screen and freezes...
It never gave me any error during the upgrading/downgrading, because when it checks the version of the ROM, it displays no information, so it just says that is going to replace the inexistant version with the new one...
Is there a step a missed (I didn't put it in bootloader mode before doing the first upgrade, but I had already done that before with other ROMs and it worked fine...)?
Now I'm stuck without knowing if I should have done an unlock CID before upgrading it, or if there is another steped I missed... Please help me out...

Read this in one of the threads and it solved his problem:
Extract the rom file you are using to flash your phone, to a folder on your pc, than Extract the file i attached ("ROMUpdateUtility-NoVendorID.zip") into this folder. than connect your phone to pc and double click on "ROMUpdateUtility-NoVendorID.exe".
I personally have not tried it, but I downloaded the prog just in case, Hope it helps.

Just tried what you advised, but now it jusk keeps giving me the error 208, which is supposed to happen because I have other programs open on my computer... Tried rebooting, closing most aplications with task manager, and still it doesn't work.
Also tried to downgrade to lower ROM upgrade, but it gives me the error that I can't downgrade, only upgrade...
When I upgrade it with AKU 2.3, it goes all the way through the upgrade, and then when it reboots, it just keeps giving me the operator logo screen with the version info on the display.
If I try to reboot to bootloader mode, I'm not able, the only way to do it is by removing the battery...
I'm probably still doing something I shouldn't... It should be able to work the downgrade utility...
Anyone can help?

Try this rom:

It shoud be ok.
If your prophet has spl end up with 2.xx.0001 check at
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Prophet/
find out the rom which can solve for SPL 2.xx.0001.

I was starting to review all my steps ir order to see what I could have done wrong...
Would you advise me to upgrade now to the PDAMobiz latest ROM (the one with the biggest pooling page)?

1. Unlock cid
Since your prophet spl is 2.15, you have to follow this step.

From file you can get from ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Prophet/
Your PC has to connect to network or internet (to have ip address), becuase in that script use ping command for delay 4 seconds.
It's just downgrade and unlock cid.
You may verify if cid unlocked, by backup rom to sd card. (use romupdate.exe with r2sd all command, check at wiki)
2. Upgrade to official rom

3. Upgade to pdamobiz, I suggest you to upgrade 12 Mb pagepool version. (even 8 mb version is ok). Because 16 mb has smallest ram space.

After some tries, upgrading, downgrading, upgrading again, etc, I finally got it, so now its running the PDAMobiz version, which by the way, seems great so far!
Next time I'll come to you directly and then try to make things on my own...

Cant HardSPL and upgrade even with orig rom.

So first thing i read all posts about
upgrading to WM 6..........First Step was HardSPL G3 In stuck in withe screen and thats all...................So still my IPL 1.00 SPL 1.00.0000
ActiveSync works correctly.................So always when JAMin resets and coes to bootloader then after 10 second coming error 302 message.Afer soft reset it work again.
So I read many many posts for dummys and not dummys and i made i think 20-30 soft-hardreset download many many different roms.
Finaly i download original rom from I-mate homepage JAMin_WWE_ 2130923_21309112_020720_ship.exe still same problem stucks in bootloader and error 302.So then i read mtty1.42.exe can help but i didnt find how use this program i get it connected but there need write shomething?
And i read this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353547 but PVtemp is not able download anymore.
So mabe somebody have idea.
In the moment i have installed Image Version 1.0.9.1141.00
And IPL 1.00 SPL 1.00.0000
What i did
1 Used 2 different computers
2 2 different cabels
3 Many different rom's
4 download original rom (also not work)
5 Many many times soft and hardreset

how to do
Safe proof plan do it like this.
1. First get the original Rom back and install it you can find the link on the forum.
2. Make a ROM update with the update Rom tool
3. Do hard SPL 3 or 4 usually its 3 after you syncronize with active sync.
4. Install the new Rom .
5. Wait for the device to start up.
Try the Mobiz Rom it worked in my case any questions feel free, bye.

i think my treo 750 is dead

Hi everyone,
I have a big problem and I need urgent help please. I have ATT 750 unlocked and I'm outside the States now. My Treo was 6.0 then I upgrade it to 6.1 so far so good.
Then I saw a custom rom that I thought it was interesting. the custom rom was for HTC Dimond I think. without paying too much attention. I started the upgrade. It went 70% before the upgrade crashed.
Now my Treo is not responding to anything. I have the original ATT 6.0 SD upgrade and I have the 6.1 lite upgrade. I'm using CheetahUnlocker to flash the SPL (that is working) but when I try to install the 6.0 or 6.1 using Kaiser Custom RUU v1 it crash.
I saw the post above that suggest to place the original 6.0 on a freshly formated SD and install from there. that is not working either. when I try to install the software it goes into these steps before it crashes: btw, I have the tri-color bar and it has the following info:
CHEE100
IPL-0.20
SPL-1.40.01iNex
while update in progress i see the following:
CHEEIMG.nbh
SPLASH1 - OK
BOOTLOADER - OK
GSM - OK
MicroP - OK
EXTROM - Fail
OS -
After the crash I get this msg: "Update Terminate Update Failed"
Any suggestion please? need more info? then let me know

You may have corrupted your DOC, you may need to use mtty to reformat it. Do some searching on how to do it.
Or try to use T750URT.exe to restore it, it comes with the Treo desktop updater.

After I flashed a WM6.5 costum ROM in my treo750 it works fine...until 4 hour after...the display just stay black. It´s on, but black!!
I´ve tryed reset, hard reset and force to reflashed to an original WM5.0 without success.
Does anyone know what is happening with my phone??

second: download the rom you wish to use and install it same way as you installed hardspl!

I tried to follow all steps in USPL guide but still the same....
I have for now the ROM WM 6.1 from LeFab47 alias Fireburned

Guys... I had the same problem in my new VOX...(didnt have this issue in the older one)....
Jockey was considerate enough to point the following to me...... Used it and everything was absolutely fine....No error 270 etc...
There is one alternative to application unlock your phone. To properly application unlock the phone perform the steps as suggested to me by another friendly customer:
1. go to

2.Run MoDaCo_SPV_E650_de_Brand___Fix_Pack.PREP.CAB on the device
3. Run MoDaCo_SPV_E650_de_Brand___Fix_Pack_0.5.CAB on the device and

try running the application unlock sda...

It's no risk, do USPL as described in the sticky (or the Wiki) and then flash any ROM you want (for the S710 of course)

WinMo 5 To WM6.5_23635_Babak00000_Prophet

Noob here.
I have just discovered this site and have spent the last couple of hours wiki-ing my way through the flashing process. However I have several questions that I couldn't find answers for.
1) I wish to upgrade my WM5 G4 prophet to WM6.5_23635 by Babak00000.
Can I upgrade from WM5 to 6.5 or do I need to go to 6.1 and then up to 6.5?
2) Do I need to CID unlock if my phone isn't locked to a carrier?
If someone could outline the programs (in order) and maybe the process to go from WM5 to 6.5 that would be great.

I'm also quite new to this, but i have managed to install wm6.5 so i think i can help you!
1. No! I am pretty shure you can upgrade from the original rom to any other ROM you want without any steps in between!
2. I have not done any CID unlock and everythin worked fine!
... The Process is actually very easy! I took a ROM from bikertibi but I also downloaded one of babak00000 and it has the same filestructure... just execute the "prophet_upgrade.exe", then select G3 or G4 (DONT mess this up) and if you have Vista or W7 just check the Vista Checkbox, and please check the HardSPL!
Now press start and you don't have to do anymore than clicking "next" all the time
It's that easy
... I hope I didn't tell any bull****, but this is how it worked for me!! Good Luck!!!

Hello everybody,
I just download this file, yesterdayWM6.5_23113_WWE_Premium_Prophet_Babak, to my PC and began upgrading work to my Qtek S200. I try several time, not sucessfully. Finally, the screen appear in 3 colors with text " IPL 2.20.0001"and "SPL 2.20.0001". I tried hard-reset and it said sucessful format, but it does not work. I copy my friend downgrade file but it said no connection with PC.
Does anyone have the same problem and could anyone kindly help me for this?

you need to hard spl 1st.if your pc is vista or win 7,upgrade your driver before flashing.read from here

i had the same problem do this step by step
charge your battery through external charger to full (ur phone is in usb mode so itwont be charged)
DONT MESS THIS PART
download aku 2.2 g3 if your device is g3(aku 2.24 if it is g4)
uncheck the usb connection in active sync
then run the aku in your pc
it should work
if you want to flash any rom check the usb connection in active sync and flash it (read the steps on flashing screen)
