Does anyone have experience with them? I was hoping to buy a Galaxy S2 for AT&T from them, but I don't know if it's legit. I have been emailing them, and they do respond very quickly. They say they get their products "directly from the manufacturing company in large quantities at factory wholesale prices." The reason I am skeptical is because they use Western Union Money Transfer, and not Paypal. They did say that I could send half the payment before they ship and half after I get it, so can anyone tell me if this is a good deal? Or just a scam?
Thanks!
Anyone? Would be helpful thanks.

Sorry and thank you!
Guys I need help.
I've won a Samsung Focus from Microsoft. I live in the Netherlands, so that's where FedEx have sent it.
but... It is now stuck at customs not getting the clearance it needs because they want to know what the worth is, to decide the taxes on it.
I don't have an invoice, as I won it and Microsoft don't have one either as they got them from Samsung or AT&T.
Therefor I can't prove the worth and so the clearance is not given.
Can anyone help me out with an invoice so I can prove the worth of a Samsung Focus?
I'd be very grateful indeed!
There are sites where you can buy various phones at their open-market value, such as Expansys. If you just need to know the market value of the phone, that's a good place to look.
Hi guys!,
After following the forum for almost a year now, im finally posting
I have a small query. after using SGA for a long time now, i felt like getting a windows phone (HTC titan 2) for a change. titan 2 is not available directly in my country (India) so im gonna have to get it via my sister who lives in USA.
I have found the following sources on ebay.com
1) ebay . c o m/itm/New-HTC-Titan-II-16GB-Black-Smartphone-/140744424071?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item20c5057a87
2)ebay . c o m/itm/New-Box-UNLOCKED-HTC-Titan-II-2-16GB-Windows-Phone-4G-LTE-FREE-SHIPPING-/280869178556?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item41651b8cbc
3)ebay . c o m/itm/NEW-HTC-TITAN-II-2-UNLOCKED-ANY-GSM-SIM-16G-16MP-CAMERA-/330725089435?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item4d00c0609b#ht_1926wt_1396
(im sorry for the inelegance but im not allowed to post direct links. )
my budget is a maximum of $500. the question is are these sellers trustworthy? or could it be a scam or damaged item? the no returns accepted worries me. i don't mind if the pack is opened but i want it to be fully functional in india without any defects.
i have heard from some guy that if you purchase via paypal, even though the seller claims no returns accepted, you can return them to him by giving the return shipping details to paypal and once the item reaches the seller, you'd receive a full refund. this seems to ease the hesitation on my part but i'm still not sure 100%.
can some of you guys share your experiences/give advise..?
thanks a lot in advance.
Hey.
are you still looking for one?? I have one brand new sealed..
and usually people post that up because they are normal person selling it, i usually put that on there
the big companies have customer support and will usually do all that, but normal people dont.
as long as paypal is involved you can be safe, if the product doesnt work then you can make a dispute.
Any discussion of buying/selling/trading belongs in the Marketplace.
Hi, still hunting around for somewhere to get an Infinity from and I may have found a place. Stumbled across this Lola Electronics place in the UK and was wondering weather they are trustworthy? They seem to have very cheap prices so there is an element of dodgyness with them. They have a massive long phone number and a gmail instead of something fancy. If its dodgy, which I suspect it is, are there any other places I people know of and is it ok to import say a UK model to AU with things like firmware and that?
Thanks,
Also found http://www.adorama.com/ which seem to ship to Australia, but once again, not sure weather to trust these online and foreign sites.

B&H Photo Video also ships out of the US, and is 100% legit. My one gripe with them is that they don't pack for shipment very well. This has happened on more than one occasion, the most recent being the TF700T. The exterior shipping box has a pretty large crushed corner (blame UPS here), but the interior ASUS bax also had the corner pushed in. Better packing could have prevented that; and as I said, this is not the first time.

Hope melbourne is not keeping you indoors this winter - Indeal time to have a Tablet like Infinity to PLAY WITH !!!
UK models = European ones - which will have lots of issue eg POWER CHARGER etc ...so I would settle for ones made for USA market
.... and its lots easier to setup since its already ENGLISH = as default ! <<<I have had major issues with Transfomer TF201 series from Europe>>> not to mention warranty if **** goes south !
Now I got this SHINNY BEAST !!! (deleivered from US in weeks via FEDEX - safe quick and easy peezee not to mention ..NO TAX , no Deleiverey charges ... blah blah) am most impressed
So seach - eRetailer/*bay site for pple who will SHIP to Aust for free .......... rimes with some JUNGLE in Sth america
Hope this helps
Cheers
Thanks both for the replies! and yeah, its pretty cold down here in Melbourne, rarely getting above 15C and going down to nearly 0C which is pretty cold for us. I still need to know if I can have the refund on my Prime which was sent back for the screen clicking in and out of place, similar to the Nexus 7. If I can, then I am gonna really look around the US. A good Aussie $ means I can save a bit more. At least with the Infinity it isn't much of a risk as the Prime to ship it from overseas for warranty reasons, dont think i will need a warranty too much with the Infinity.

If you're referring to Amazon, they don't ship to Australia.
Found one on eBay from BuySPRY, shipping is USPS for only around $50 with tacking and a decent reputation.
If i did have to RMA though, I could go to a service centre in Australia right?
To be honest, I am not that annoyed with the IO problem, I had it on the Prime, and delt with it. If I get this and it sucks, I will actually buy an iPad. But I doubt it will. I am gonna try and chat to ASUS tomorrow about a refund or a replacement for with an Infinity.

Problem is... most of the programs that cause the I/O issues on the infinity are not even available on the ipad without a jailbreak.
Or I might actually invest in a decent smartphone. But still, I would love for the Infinity to be able to pan out well.
Spoke to ASUS again about the whereabouts of my Prime, its still in Sydney. The DOA assessment was supposed to be a month ago but since they accidentally sent it to the repair centre, its only happening now. But hopefully, it will come back, I will be able to refund it and get an Infinity from one of these places!
Hello Users! My first post (woohoo) and probably a very noobish one.
Now, I've been using this forum for ages, but never made an account, been using it for my nice Sensation XE, got some great roms and help from the forums.
Anyway, more to the point.
In the UK, the TF700T's are about £600 default at the moment and just keep rising, now, I can get a US one for about £340, which is a lot more in my price range.
Now, I know the obvious, I'll need a US to UK transformer. However, is there anything else I need to be worried about? Such as, Keyboard layout? Firmware? Like, anything major that could effect me having an US tablet in the UK.
I don't give a toss about warranty, I'll be rooting it before I even use it. But, just worried incase firmwares are different? Stopping me from rooting/customisation, I'm just a little stuck here, wasn't sure if I should have stuck this in QnAs, but a general discussion sounded better since I know it's a question a lot of people ask, and people might have different takes on it.
Thank you for reading, much appreciated!

Other side of the world here so can't be definite but:
* keyboard - if you get the dock the layout will be slightly different (your ' and @ are transposed I believe and you'll have $ instead of pound sign) but I assume on the tablet itself you have UK keyboards?
* firmware - if similar to here you'll get it faster than others in UK (I got the latest update a day or two before those that bought locally in Oz)
No idea if there are any other ramifications.
Not really. I live in Sweden and bought mine in NY on my last trip there. Haven't experienced any problems at all. So you're good to go.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using xda app-developers app

ARen't you forgetting import duty? If they catch you anyway...
Hm...
The joy of Android is that it comes with all languages installed, so the tablet you can just set to UK English instead of US English, and that changes the Tablet's keyboard, dictionary and such to the UK layout. The dock, however, will be a US layout. Though from what I've seen, all other countries sell the US-layout keyboard anyhow.
You'll most likely get the updates faster, and that probably includes Jelly Bean. (I see people here mentioning updates I've not seen yet, when, ironically, the Dutch stores sold it before the US...) The firmware for US is different from the international one, or at least there are different versions listed.
Actually, most users here are US, and thus use the US firmware. You'll probably have an easier time rooting and customizing your tablet when you have a US one than if you have a UK one.
Just make sure the store shipping it marks the shipment as GIFT, or you'll be paying a massive import fee.
I paid £60 import duty on my 700 from the US to UK. Apart from a £5 US to UK adaptor i still dont think thats too bad. (i didnt get the keyboard as i had my 200 keyboard)
Do it!
I bought mine in the us, the only catch I found is that the nice UK plug is £25 (but well worth it in my opinion).
That version has snap on us plug adaptors but the one in the box is fixed in place
Can you not just use a power adapter? I thought the transformer line had a power transformer which could handle 240 and 110V inputs? Could well be wrong though!

Hi I have just found this thread, I am also thinking about buying the tf700 from the US, were you sent a import invoice with your tablet? and how long did it take to come from the US?

Do bear in mind, as others have suggested, if you have it shipped to you via mail order you will almost certainly be hit for 20% VAT for an import from a non EU country
If you travel to the US yourself and carry it back you are less likely to need to pay (although technically the VAT is still due)
That said; I'm using a US keyboard (TF201 - not that there is any difference) I sourced to match the TF700 that I imported from Germany. No problems at all. The biggest difference in key layout is the " and @ are swapped around... but takes no time to get used to that.
Good luck!
Yes you can just us a cheap US to UK adaptor, no need to voltage changes. I paid £5 for one in maplin.
Also if you must have a real UK adaptor (for some reason) then just google tf101 power adaptor in Ebay and get one of those. I bought a real asus 101 adaptor for £15 off ebay, better than spending £30 on a 700 one.
