hey you guys out there
do you think its possible(based on hardware/connectors)?
and i know you must have wm6 pro
but as i see theres a project round here
if this project porting wm pro to vox gets useable
should it be possible to install and use the touchscreen?
i dont matter the costs first
i`m thinking of the usage of a replace touchscreen for other htc devices must have same size but i think if no fitting htc screen out there ill search for another one

well, i too am interested in this! Our devices are definitely capable of supporting touch flo, and someone should get started on this i guess! I've never cooked a rom, so wouldnt know where to start, makes sense for all the experienced guys to try a shot at this as it would really prove to be a great value add for our uni!
cheers,
San
search
it is possible in fact there is already a ROM that has the Touch Flo interface (only qvga and our unis have VGA so it will look funny)
here is the link but next time use the search button.
PD the cube effect as far as i know it is not available but look at the thread and decide whether you want to try it or not.

Hi Guys,
Ivans Rom includes only the HTC today Plug_in which is as mentioned above, only QVGA and until now no one archive to Run correctly this application in VGA. HTC today plug_in cab can be found separately in here.
Regards to Touch flo (cube); The ROM cooker for other devices take the touch.dll from the device HTC touch and port it for own devices.
The file touch.dll has to be cooked in to ROM as it cant be overwritten. Anyhow all those devices are none VGA therefore porting for Universal has not been yet done.
Cheers
Thank you guys for all the input hopefully the developers will make a rom with it totally built in but in the mean time lets stick with the new version of ivans touch rom
Well its been a while since i have been on here but i started a new job and they use a App that runs on WM 5.0 and the pdas they supply are shocking and in bad condition and often faulty so i was going to get my own but im not sure on the best WM 5.0 pda/phone available i was thinking the SPV M600 but maybe there is better ? i want it to be fast and stable and i dont mind flashing a rom to make it do this.. Also it must run sat nav smoothly would love one with built in GPs but i doubt thats gonna happen
Was looking at the mio p550 but want some input really
HTC Universal is by far the best WM5 you can go for
Only problem with that phone is i need customers to sign using touch screen..
universal got a touch-screen too
just bought a touch diamond whats best windows or android & is it easy to flash back to a windows rom if i try and dont like android... and what roms do folk on here like best on this phone ? opinions please
wELL IT SEEMS NO ONE HAS THE TIME OR INCLINATION TO REPLY ON HERE ANY MORE? I WONDERD IF ITS CHANGED THAT MUCH,FOLK USED TO HELP BUT NO REPLYS,GUESS I WILL JUST HAVE TO STAB IN THE DARK TO SEE WEATHER ANDROID IS FOR ME OR TO STAY WITH WM,whoops please excuse the caps lock was on..
It's only been 24hrs, please be patient when asking a question for the answer.
Re: WM vs Android:
Android does not work 100% on WM devices so it's best to check the Android thread and see what isn't working and if you can live without it.
Alot of Android bases can work via haret on SD card so no need to flash, the nand versions you can flash back to WM via bootloader.
Make sure your Hard-SPL'd.

- You'll get better answers in the Diamond section.
- You didn't even say which model/carrier Diamond you have. GSM Diamond is different from Sprint/Alltel Diamond is different from Verizon Diamond. They are NOT interchangeable.
- Android for CDMA/Sprint Diamond is not really ready for prime time. Biggest problem is battery drain.
- You can try it WITHOUT flashing... just d/l the needed files and run it.
- The best forum to discuss ROMs for the Diamond is on www.ppcgeeks.com
- My favorite ROM for the Sprint Diamond is MightyRom 4. It is WM6.1. I see no point to WM6.5 for the Diamond.
OK thanks & sorry for impationtness would put it down to a bad day at the hair dressers or some thing but being bald/shaved that wont work so i just apologise ,yes i think looking about that i will stick with wm, i have seen the energy rom on the tube i like the look of that , the icons look real good and it seems smooth, so will have a look at some other roms and see, in an ideal world i would just get the handset of choise but i have to search for auction bargins to get my phones.. thanks Ali

Toshiba TG01 FTW, yeh the htc touch pro has better software, but if you get the tg01, install the htc roms that our fantastic chefs cook! the one in my signature is IMHO the best sense ROM, gives it a near perfect expeirience to the htc hd2. and its a snapdragon! my friend has the touch hd, very simiiliar CPU to the touch pro and it is much slower. anyway the touch pro has been suceeded by tp2. the screen of the tg01 is wvga, so it is clearer. personally imho the touch pro is outdated and , get the tg01!
ok guys, due to lady bad luck the toshiba was sold and best next one was the htc touch pro. now i need you're help in finding a good os/updates/apps/something to get it 'rollin' . i would like something stable not that ported android beta os. any advice is welcomed.
and thank you oly for that quick response
IMHO,go for the hTC touch pro...Its a good device when you compare it to the Tosh... Also, the service network of Toshiba is in shambles....Need i say more after you read this?
tnks shr. but i have already bought it... now what OS do you recomend? apps.. everything. i am open to advices/links
please i would realy need another rom because this one lag-s!!
Have a look at the one in my Signature.
Also look at newer TAEL 2.5 sense & Energy ROMs.
TAEL ROM is smooth for me but user tweaking & the ability to read instructions & threads makes the diference between good & bad user experiences !
Tarkin Keyboard button driver is a must, will list some more stuff when have 10 minutes to spare, in middle of catching flight so just a quick reply.
oh, thank you very much! i do appreciate it! but unfortunate, i am a noob. i have never flashed a phone. all i had till now where symbian phones. this is first WM and HTC experience for me .
TG01 Roms
Hi I have been roaming around this forum for a few years now.
I too have a TG01, The best bit of advise I can give is to stay away from any win7 roms, the TG was not designed to ever run it. Win7 is very slow.
There are some very good roms out there, I have found that anything from mirolg tends to be stable.
With regards to flashing a new Rom Check out the "how to Guide" in the TG01 section (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654674) if you are still finding it a little hard have a search for the problem, but if you still cant work it out drop me a PM.
Hope you have a good time finding your perfect Rom.

We were all virgins to flashing at one point.
Do some research & follow guidelines for 6.5 install & run in period from energy & all should be well ! quite simple really ...
In my opinion 2.1 sense is better option on touch pro but some of the newer 2.5 sense ROMs are supposedly fast but do consume more memory resources & battery power.
The one thing that has kept me from switching to Android is Garmin Mobile XT in all of it's outdated glory. If someone can rip it from one of the stupid Garmin-ASUS Android phones and get it working on an HTC device I will pay $100 immediately and $20 USD/mo for one year thereafter.
no 1 has done that yet , not a sign of it even on warez sites ...
that said , garmin is good but igo is atleast as good , u should try looking out for that on android
or , if your not happy with that and want the ultimate solution for android+garmin , ull need to pick up a nice hd2 with dual boot (basically a winner for u)
if you are still interested I can be of help to you, see me in PM
I don't want an HD2 because part of my requirements of a device is a landscape qwerty slider. The initial reason I bought my Wizard was because of that keyboard, and same for my Tytn, Kaiser, and Rhodium. I skipped Raphael because I didn't like the keyboard. Also, fu*k having to reboot to launch satnav...
