Does anyone know if the main-body structure of the touch diamond from Sprint and T-Mobile are the same?
They look the same, but the reason I am asking is that the back casing of the Spring is deeper with bigger battery and it would be nice to get one for my UK version which has the puny battery!

I myself tried that already. Im on tmobile USA and bought the mda compact 4 from tmobile uk. The sprint touch diamond has a different back altogether to the mda 4. The bottom part on the mda 4 cuts off where the sprint one extends further. I hope that makes sense just check out the pics.

In our small company we now have 4 mda II with cracked screens. T-mobile charge us £130 for new screen and fitting. Is there anyplace that i can purchase the tft screens on there own so i may fit them. Any help on this would be good, i'm allso from the uk so uk shops would be easyie for me to order from.

I'm just in the middle of a talk with a supplier to get a HTC Touch pro into my hands and i was looking for a bit of advice from some of the early adopters
the hermes was found to develop a few common issues with the first few batches, does this seem to be the case with the raphael too?
also,
If i was to purchase the touch pro today, could i go and swap the back cover of the touch pro with that of the vario 4? (i.e. the 'smooth' cover) i dont really like the whole multi faceted business going on

I know the flat back from the O2 variant does not fit on an unbranded device..
Besides - the Vario IV is a different shape from the unbranded no?
So there are 2 versions of the Touch Diamond as for as I know.
The original GSM phone, and the smaller rounder CDMA version.

the cdma touch diamond that sprint/telus/alltell has actually has an extended 1350mah battery and battery cover that is about 3-4 mm wider than the standard gsm touch diamond (900 mah) so tread carefully. You may want to look at expansys canada i found this:

the charger their is designed for the touch pro so it should fit your cdma touch diamond with room to spare. im actually going thru similar crap, i have a tmobile mda compact IV which is their version of the touch diamond with the slimmer 900mah battery but the look of the curvy rounded cdma TD. i wish htc had just made the curvy cdma touch diamond and square gsm touch diamond with same battery and same back its a pain looking for accessories for the diffrent phones because the back of this one is thicker and the back of that one is slim but faceted, ARRRRGGGGGHHHH. I tried searching about and couldnt find an answer, basically i used my mda vario on tmobile and loved it but ive been with 3 for the last 18 months
and am on a second contract with them and wanted to go back to the vario, unfortunately because i have a 3g sim (and they wont provide me with a 2g
sim) I cannot use the vario on my current contract. I was looking at buying a tytn or tytn2 to use, i know the tytn 2 is compatible but is the tytn?
someone has offered me a tytn for £90 which i think is a good offer, could someone help me out and let me know? Im not too bothered about the features
that the tytnII has over the tytn as I already have gps in my car, and the slightly faster running isnt a bit worry.

The tytn will work fine as it is a 3g phone. You will hardly notice the difference from your vario except for the slide switch being replaced with a scroll wheel, (which is better), and the power button being in a different place, (which is worse).
ok guys i just bought a bricked cdma touch pro for 50 bucks. I'm planning on taking the guts out of my fuze and switching it into the TP's housing. does anybody see any road blocks i may encounter before i start? Help wold be greatly appreciated if a more experienced person can give me and ok go for it. i will post pics of the experiment.
Isnt the CDMA housing going to be missing a simcard slot and does the sprint have a slot for microSD?
sprint has a slot for microSD, but not for SIM...
some internals can be switched(like keyboard and possibly screen), but other parts aren't compatible...
