O2 Orbit II - Clock Display - General Questions and Answers

Hi All,
I am a complete newby and chances are, that I'm posting this in the wrong place, or even that I'll not be able to find any replies. However, here goes...
Can anyone tell me how to change the the display format for the clock on the O2 Orbit II XDA from analogue to digital.
It was appearing as a digital clock (in the left top corner) until one day I took it out of my pocket to find that the display for the clock had changed into a little clock face (analogue). I have obviously tried searching through the whole phone but cannot find anywhere to select either analogue or digital.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - ps. I have also embaressingly phoned O2, who could not help! Cheers.
Sambadad.

Tap and hold
Hi
Tap and hold your stylus (or fingernail!) on the place where the top right hand clock is displayed. After half a second a circle of dots will appear and a menu with "Digital" and "Analogue" will pop up. Select the display mode of choice.
Cheers

Today Screen Scrollbar ...

Hello!
I am wondering if it is possible to remove the scrollbar that shows up on the today screen? I have seen somewhere on the threads that you can remove the scrollbar from a today plugin. But is there any way using the registry?

The only way to do that is to not put more on it than it can show all at once. You can however make the scrollbars thinner by editing the registry.
HKLM\System\GWE-cxVScr for verticle scrollbars and changing the value to a number less than 13
HKLM\System\GWE-cxHScr for horizontal scrollbars
ehhh...
......
Well I do not have more than the screen but it still shows the scrollbar and moves just a little bit up and down. And because of that, it is covering one of my tabs from SPB Pocket Plus.

if u have good eyes, you can reduce the text size, go to start > settings > system > screen and the text tab....
You could take off an unnecessary plugins from Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Today -> Items
But i'm guessing you need all the stuff on the today screen...
I have the same problem occasionally with cLaunch. If you have even one pixel more than what can be shown on the screen it'll put up that damn scrollbar. I also ran in to that problem before when I didn't have too much on the screen but for some reason it would be there anyway until I rotated the screen by opening the keyboard and then when I closed it again it would magically dissappear. I never did figure out why that was happening, but it hasn't happened since I started flashing new ROMS.
Just came up with 3 possibilities to fix your problem.
1. Check and see if pocket plus has a heighth adjustment. If it does, adjust it to be a few pixels shorter and see if the scrollbar dissappears.
2. If you don't use the icons in the system tray for anything, use explorer or explore in activesync and go to windows\startup and remove the Init_Tray.lnk and then soft reset. The system tray will be gone and you'll have that much extra room on your today screen and the scrollbar should dissappear after that.
3. Install this cab that I'm uploading. It's called vjtoggletoday-removing bottom bar. It removes the bottom bar that has the calendar and contacts links on them. You will still be able to use the soft keys just above the call and end keys to bring them up when ever you want, but you'll gain the extra space on your today screen where the bottom bar used to be.
another option would be to use the nice today plugin SPB Mobile Shell. It makes it possible to safe a lot of space on your today screen. It works very well with any other today plugin (eg Pocket Plus, Phone Alarm, SPB Wheather, etc). Still one of my favorite pocket pc programs!
I am using all of the SPB today plugins. I fixed the problem by having two lines instead of three in BatteryStatus. Appreciate everyones help.

yeah but i still rather have someone do a hack that will remove the scrollbar on the today screen. somtimes we want to have stuff there on the right height just without the scrollbars ...
can someone come up with a hack for this ? removing the scrollbar for today screen.

quicklaunch shortcuts not displaying

hope i have the right forum - you'll tell me otherwise no doubt.
My Today screen has a blue icon called options which, when pressed says
O2 Custom Today Plug-in Settings
checked items appear in Today screen
well they all DID until just recently and I used to be able to display 5 shortcuts.
I removed 1 and added another and the screen response was only 5 shortcuts allowed. Having taken out and added again the problem was further exacerbated by the fact that the shortcut bar is now blank even though short cuts are there. I press an area of the shortcut bar and a programme is launched - but I don't know what it is until it is fully launched.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have rebooted but no joy
Thanks
Bill

WM6.1 Today Screen Question

Does anyone know if it is possible, and if so how, to remove the Date spacer from the top section of the Today Screen (located immediately below the taskbar). This takes up a lot of real-estate and an I don't use it because the date is shown elsewhere.- Thanks for your time
start-settings-today-items tab and disable 'Date'
There you'll find all other items you see on the today screen.
it is disabled there, but the space still remains on the Today screen.
Maybe a screenshot would be helpful.

Start Menu Shortcut Question

First of all, sorry if it's been discussed before, I'm new to the forum...
My Idea is: is it possible to somehow remove the "start" shortcut from the upper left corner of every screen, maybe even replace it with something useful or just a clock, but it's seriously bugging me. When I hand over the phone to almost any friend it gets pressed somehow and having in mind that one of the five only hardware buttons is designated start menu the soft shortcut is completely obsolete, at least that's what I think...
Thanks in advance!!

Try out CHT 1.8.5 and enable Mini Lock screen. the lock bar goes across the bottom of the screen, and you just slide your finger downward. It doesnt feel awkward at all. i find that its awkward slide right or left due to the size to the phone, almost as thou i may drop it. Also the Mini Lock screen is better because on the lock bar, notifications like email and missed calls will show. put your finger on those icons and slide down to go directly to that sense tab retrieve your message vs to the home screen.
i use diniks...
