Converting video for Coreplayer - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I did a search and couldn't find any good answers to this. What is a good program to convert video files to play on the coreplayer (v1.3)
I have the Divx converter, but the mobile option on it only goes up to 320x134 resolution
Also, what bitrate, fps, and video format is best to use with the coreplayer on the HTC Fuze?
Thanks in advance for any help

I use PocketDivXEncoder:

free Avi to wmv converter

does anyone know of an avi to wmv converter please let me know
There is this 'MediaCoder' that seems to be able to convert from and to a lot of things. You may try to convert it to something compatible and use the Microsoft Windows Media Encoder (free) to do it. Depending on your encoding, the M$ WMEncoder does most of the job.
does someone know the best settings to encode videos to play it on Touch?
240 X 320 maybe about 25fps
16bit colour is enough
PocketDivxEncoder will do.

video encoding for VOGUE/HTC Touch

I've been searching but can't find it... everything in the forum seems to have vogue as a tag...
What are the parameters / codecs to encode video to play on the vogue, either in the default player or the wm player?
Try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=467112
Good luck!
I have read somewhere (Sorry can't remember where) that the vogue cannot play video's very well - has something to do with the type of processor it has. Sorry I wish I could be of more help.
I have HTC Elfin and use pocket divx encoder to encode video's for playback on my device and use TCPMP to play the video's without any problem.
Hopefully the app in the link provided above works for you
The application referenced here does a pretty good job - but there are audio sync issues.
Using a similar profile in Super yields slightly lower video quality (because it is one pass encoding) and the audio is more in sync.
Are there other "less processor intensive" codecs that one should use to encode video to this device? Space is not the issue - I have an 8gb micro SD card..., I want decent quality that I can watch.

Does that have presets for the TOUCH ?
I have a dozen media converters installed on my PC, so would prefer not to have more if I can create a configuration to use one I already have... codecs / bitrates, etc.

Playing Movies on x7510

Has anyone been able to play movies on their x7510? I'm having problems finding the best Audio and Video parameters that run smoothly on my x7510. The media converters that I've used haven't been able to convert a dvd movie to a useable format. The video is always too choppy and out of synce with the audio. Can anyone help?
Use Coreplayer for your 7510.
It's a really good program for playing video on Handheld Devices
Thanks for your respones. I have coreplayer v 1.3.6 build 7427 but this too performs poorly. I'm not sure what Audio and Video parameters the movie file has to be in to play smoothly. Do you known what your movie file parameters are set?
The best way to have a great quilty and also smooth playing is converting your video with "Xilisoft Video Converter".
It has a lot of good default option for converting your video for your PPC.
If you play the sound through bluetooth, it doesn't get out of sync. Also try 300ms Thats the best setting i think.
Ok, I give these two options a try. I'm downloading Xilisoft Video Converter now. I'll let you know how it works.
Thanks both of you.
I tried Xilisoft, but am not sure which setting to choose. I think Sompy Media Encoder is also pretty good, it has a setting specifically for WM PPC's

+1 for coreplayer or TCPMP. Why take the time to convert videos when you can simply play them?
I bought coreplayer ... It's the one for me and a good prize too
Tried coreplayer and it's having problem in my unit, the video will be messed up and has to restart don't know why.
This video converter is very good, with the ability to re-sync audio (not that I have needed to yet). It was developed for the HD by an xda member. But yeah, TCPMP or Coreplayer will work if you don't want to convert it.
Thanks gotta give it another try.

Switch your video codec to DirectDraw then it will work like charm. Look for more tweaks in coreplayer forum.

Oh thanks but please let me know how to change video codec.
COREPLAYER: Menu > Tools > Settings > Select Page > Video > Video Output - change to DirectDraw
TCPMP: Options > Video > DirectDraw
In coreplayer, just make sure that a video is NOT playing when you do this....it tends to crash and forces you to do a soft reset (at least it does for me!)
I have no probs playing flv with coreplayer or TCPMP, I just prefer Coreplayer.
Thanks so much, actually GDI codec works for me but there's still very slight sync issue for some videos.
You may also want to try Chainfire's 3d drivers (if you haven't already)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=592663 (not the beta drivers - yet!)
Some people have said it improves DirectDraw performance in Coreplayer, but I never had any problems before, so I can't really say yes or no to that! The drivers do help with other apps too, so I would say they are worth installing anyway.
I think there is a known problem with the HD2 and video/audio sync, but again (lucky me), I've never noticed it.
Col.
