Need some expert help here! I’ve tried out 3 to 4 different screen protector companies for my HTC HD but they all leave these nasty bubbles and make the screen fuzzy. Can someone please tell me the brand they’re using if they DO NOT have this weird bubble problem…Thanks!
Get martin fields screen protector. It will not leave bubbles as long as there's no dust trapped.

Invisible Shield. All the bubbles even out overnight. Doesn't scratch or smudge.
I use Brando Workshop's CLEAR screen protectors. I had tried all of them, even the the ones mentioned above, but none can compare to Brando's accuracy as to screen specification size. The rest are either small and still leave enough space on the sides uncovered, I guess they made it that way to ease replacement or to easily peel it off. But you don't change your screen protector every month, so to me that extra small uncovered space is unacceptable risk of dust going on the sides.
I use scotch tape to get rid of dust prior to applying the screen protector. I use scotch tape on both the screen and the part of the screen protector prior to application. You have to make sure you stick one side first and let it glide to the other side. FLOPPING any screen protector on top of the screen, no matter what brand will leave bubbles.
Yes, if there is dust on the device you can use some tape (which is not too sticky!) to remove the dust. Also try one of those cloths you get with some stuff to remove finger prints. Those seem to be good as well for removing the first dusts.
However, for your next device do this:
Don't take off the protective cover (of the screen) before you get your protector. This way you are sure there is no dust.
Also, when you get your screen protector don't take that off the protective thingy as well!
Go to your bathroom and turn on the shower (leave device in other room for now ). So the shower is filled with steam. This will remove most of the dust inside of your bathroom. So you turn off the shower and while there is just some steam left you go get your device and apply the protector.
Everything has to be done as quick as possible so the chance of dust is reduced to a minimum. Also try and practice a bit with all the protective stuff on just to see how it should fit.
I use this 'technique' with all of my new phones in combination with a Brando screenprotector and it works like a charm! Guess other brands will do just fine as well.
And as the previous poster said, don't just flop it on. Work from one side to another, e.g. from top to bottom. While you rub the protector on the screen. But that you'll have to testrun a few times (with all protective stuff still on) so you get a good idea how to get it right in one try. One try is always best if you succeed .
I hate those bubbles too! Someone suggested purplemoo but it had the same problem. Then I tried navprotector.com, a smaller company I found on eBay. So far it’s working like a charm – no bubbles even after 6 months!

Just applied the invisibleshield and im not too impressed.
First, the front and more so the back covers are too small and the corners of the phone is not covered. Second, the home key cover and camera lens cover are too big, so I avoided the home button cover and stuck the camera lens on by taking off the back cover. Third and finally the tacky feel means its a fingerprint and oil magnet, as I have sweaty hands this is especially annoying.
On the plus side it was relatively easy to put on and remove the bubbles.
sounds like you got the Full Body "Easy Install" version the Full Body "Maximum protection" version would have covered the corners, and have extended wings that goes up the sides.
same here i've a oily face / fingers, Zagg will not work for me as i've posted on other topic, I'll prefer the regular 3M PET screen protectors + a Gel case instead

Yep definately, it has a good grippy feel and the orange peel effect is reducing . Now that ive had it on a few days im warming up to it surprisingly. The best thing is that it adds little thickness and I can just plop it on surfaces without worrying about scratches.
Overall i quite happy with it, I just wished I got the full body sh*t.

i've been looking all around to see some pics of zagg installed on galaxy s but no luck !!!
i had the invisi shield on my touch hd, so the first thing i did when i got home from getting my shiny new SGS was to order one, still not arrived and thats with 2-3 day delivery. i did the right thing and ordered the full cover as it was the same price as the easy install version, i will post pics when i have recieved it and have it done.
as for gel cases i have one of them on order also as it has done a wonderfull job of protecting my touch hd (till i drove over it)
i gave up on the zagg, samsung is release nice fashion faceplates for the SGS
and i'm already using those nice gel cases + screen protector, that's more than enough protection for the phone.
out of the box, the phone is already super strong, and anti scratch, did you see the video?
it will only break the screen if you drop it from a 1.5 m high
it may be anti scratch but ive scratched the proximity sensor area already so hopefully the shield will stop other scratches. I would use a gel cover but the shield really doesnt add anything to the thickness, while the cover would.
I get some pics up as soon as I can get hold of a camera.

I've actually bought a silicone case and a screen protector for it and it's made it much more manageable and easier to hold and saved the phone when I dropped it the other day.

what about touch sensitivity?
I installed an invisibleShield as soon as the phone arrived. It's a pain in the ass to install as usual, and I was not able to make the top two corners look good. They've already started to peel off but I guess it's going to take a while before the back has to be replaced so I'm not going to worry about it.
Is it worth it? I'd say yes, even after a year you'll still have a phone that looks brand new. Now, the edges around the phone will probably get a couple of scratches because unlike the shield for the iPhone this one does not cover the chrome/metal/whatever bezel. Not a big deal if you ask me.
So, touch sensitivity? It's good. It's just as sensitive with the shield as without. Your fingers won't glide as well across the surface tho. One more thing which you'll see in the pictures; Dust usually collects around the edges of the shield, there is not much you can do about that. Trust me, the dust looks much worse in a picture than it does irl. You can barely see it.

I ordered the full body shield as it was half price.
I just used cheap 6 for 1 ebay screen protector as this one has too much of a grip.
As for the back, as said above the top corners just will not fit completely and lift just a tiny bit at the tips.
Getting tiny bubble out results in the orange peel effect. This is because the shield is slightly rubbery and streches as you force out the bubbles.
IMO the shield protects very well, but I cant imagine ever getting the 'perfect' look with it on.
Its far from invisible, due to slight orange peel, minute bubbles which will only turn into more orange peel should I try to force them out.
If I ever buy one again, it will have graphics on it(they have those for iphone etc, perhaps the sgs is too new..) as then the slight imperfections would be less obvious.
Id rate the item 6/10. It doesn't protect the bezel or extreme corners and doesn't look great where it does protect.

Don't count on it. I ordered mine on the 16th and I still don't have it (on the 25th).
i knew it would not cover the corners properly, it looks ugly when there are little pieces of plastic cropping out of the phone.
For the back I think the Zagg sheild is brilliant, almost full cover and invisible, with no extra bulk, and a little bit more grip.
For the front, I probably prefer a normal screen protector. My wife has a $1 screen protector from flea-baythat is much better to use (although needs more regular cleaning). The zagg is a little tacky meaning your finger doesn't slide as easily (not ideal for Swype).
Fitting:
I gotta confess that I didn't get the back perfect, but mainly because Ifit it in a dimly lit room, the cover edges are hard to see without bright light. I did get the corner 90% by using glad wrap (plastic wrap) tightly pulled over the corners and left overnight (saw this on a youtube demo video).
Also I once helped a colleague who fits 3m window film for a living. I noticed that he used a lot of liquid, so for the front I made up some more liquid, enough to refill the bottle Zagg provide. I used the whole bottle on the front, making fitting much easier, you can just slide tje cover around until it's perfect, then you just push out all the liquid. Using more liquid also seemed to help alleviate any bubbles. Also for the front I used a very bright light (480 lumens bike light) which made it much easier to see exactly where the edges were.
I'm also hoping that Zagg bring out the coloured/patterned backs, which in an email to me they said they would, then I'll use a regular screen protector for the front.

I don't feel like it's a good idea to spray your device with something. When I put the shield on my iPhone I saw a couple of small droplets here and there enter the phone. I pushed some liquid near openings around the glass and some of it was sucked inside somehow. It hasn't damaged the phone, I still don't know if it can.
I just remixed a new solution: a couple of drops of baby shampoo with water in the bottle supplied. (I think you can use other stuff like washing detergent, but don't take my word, use google (3m film))

I received my screen protector today and proceeded to use the steamy bathroom method to put it on. No good, dust was still flying around like crazy. I had my screen going on but half way through a gigantic piece of dust flew under the screen. Using the provided stickers i tried to sticky it away... it added more dust. I accidentally dropped the second half the protector and now the entire thing is stuck on my screen and I can't remove it for the life of me. I'm getting really frustrated right now... anybody know how i can easily remove the screen protector?
Try to slide something thin under the protector that is unable to scratch your phone. Like a part of the plastic film that came with the protector. Once you get under there you'll be able to get it off.

Use a toothpick to pry it open if you havent already...
Get some fat sellotape or packaging tape & apply it to a corner on the face of the screen protector, then gently lift the tape & screen protector away from the phones screen.

wow thats one strong adhesive you got on that piece of protector!! ive done several installs for my friends and i never made a perfect one had to use the provided stickers to get some dust out and realign it.. never had issue from pulling it apart.. probably the steam added more to the adhesion ? just like water in the middle of 2 sheets of glass..
I had the exact same issue and ended up wasting the 2 protectors i boutght from ebay.
I tried to use every tape I could find at home and then ended up using some strong sctoch clear packaging tape and I actully tried more then 20 times (no joke) and ended up taping the whole screen protector to be able to remove it.
I ended up using a anti glare one I bought from a local shop and the install was much easier but quality not the same at all.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up using a cardboard card (the tags from clothes) and slid it against the edge of the protector till I got enough force to push up the protector. It seems the rigidity of the ultra crystal protector makes it much harder to take off.
So I'm on my third screen protector. I bought a cheap $5 3 pack off Amazon and I wasted the first two, to many bubbles and couldn't get them allighned perfectly. Got it okay on third try but they were junk screen protectors.
I bought a Spigen GLAS.tR the other day. Attempted to apply it. I followed the instructions but would misalign the protector and finally by the time I got it right there ended up being a few dust specs under it. Attempted to peel it up and fix it but just made it worse and had to toss the expensive protector...
Tried a third cheap one that came with my battery kit. Got it on aligned but I have tons of bubbles on it.
I've read the instructions a billion times over and followed them as best I could, watching countless youtube videos on how to apply them but I still fail. Any tips on applying the protectors?? Im ordering another Spigen and giving it another go since it seems to be the #1 for glass covers for our phone.

Do the whole process under very good lighting. I take a microfiber cloth and wipe the screen very gently. Sometimes dust or other particles will remain on the screen, so I have a can of compressed air handy to blow away any remaining dust. Then I wash my hands thoroughly and just shake them til they're dry. I peel off the backing, not all the way, but only enough for the screen protector to catch onto the bottom. Once it looks aligned properly, I apply it slowly, smoothing away any air bubbles while I apply the screen protector and peel the backing at the same time. All in all, the key is patience. Hope this helps.
The best application advice I have gotten is to first line up the protector and once it's aligned apply 3 strips of Scotch tape to one long edge of the phone. Think of it as a hinge. Now wipe off all the dust on your screen, peel off the backing on the protector and lay onto screen. Since it's already taped down, it will be perfectly aligned. I've applied 3 ultra crystals this way and all 3 are perfectly aligned, which would have been very difficult because the cutouts don't leave much room for error.

Wash hands with dishsoap, wear dust-free clothing
I've applied screen protectors to many phones in the past and I've learned a lot about the process. My current S4 has a screen protector on it which has been applied *flawlessly*. Not a single bubble or imperfection in alignment. Here's some tips:
Wash your hands with dish soap: Regular hand/body soaps have oils/lotion that will have you leaving fingerprints on everything. Dish soap, on the other hand is made to wash away such things. Try this as a test: Clean your screen real good, wash with dish soap, and then see if your fingers leave fingerprints when touching the screen--they won't! This won't last long though--your fingers will re-oil themselves within a few minutes.
Turn off any nearby fans: Fans recirculate the dust that naturally exists in the air all around us--especially *your* dusty house (you slob!). Turn them off and wait at least 10 minutes before attempting to apply your screen protector.
You need GOOD lighting: Seriously... You're not going to notice tiny dust particles threatening your perfect application if you can't see them.
Wash your face. Wash it good! Everyone's face/arms are constantly emitting little particles of dust. Something like 97% of household dust is human skin! When you're applying a screen protector it is very likely that your face will shed a bit right down into your application zone. Another benefit of having a slightly-moistened (and cool) face is that it will keep you alert and prevent static electricity buildup (which will transfer right through your fingers into your screen protector while you're applying it--unless it's the wet application kind). Static == dust magnet!
Wear a clean plastic smock: You'll look RIDICULOUS but a trash bag over your arms/chest will prevent a lot of fibers from making their way out of your clothes and under your screen protector. Ever see something like a tiny (usually blue) S-shaped "hair" under a screen protector? It's not a hair; it's a fiber from someone's clothes!
Lay off the caffeine for a while: You don't want to be all jittery while applying the protector. Simple as that!
Alignment is never easy but if you do things right you can always pull it up and try again in mid-application. NEVER press down on that protector to "seal the deal" until you're absolutely 100% certain you're happy with the alignment and that there are no dust particles (which are what create those bubbles we all hate so much).
I received my amFilm tempered glass screen protector 3 days ago. The packaging of all the contents came in a hard clear plastic which included:
Tempered glass screen protector
Rear PET screen protector
An alcohol wipe
A dry wipe
6 dust removing stickers
Micro-fiber cloth
Squeegee card
Instructions
Following the instructions, of course I washed my hands to remove any oils/dirt. Tip- I would suggest doing this in an area as clean as possible. TIP: states do it in the bathroom after a hot shower has been running so the steam settles any dust. I've done this on Zagg screen protectors and it works, but I failed to do this which caused troubles during installation.
I powered down the phone and wiped the screen with the included alcohol wipe. Then using the dry wipe i wiped off any excess liquid (which was not very much). I used the micro-fiber cloth to wipe the screen down one more time. Looking a the screen i saw one strand of fiber/dust, which then I used the stickers included which lifted it right off.
Installing the tempered protector was fairly straight forward. I tried to center the screen protector and used the home button to gauge how off center to the left and right I was and if the glass was angled in relation to the top of the home button. I made sure the glass was straight along both sides of the screen and placed it down. You do need to press in the center vertically and horizontally for the glass to set well.
Lifting the glass up was pretty easy using a finger nail, I had to lift it off because debris got under and got attached to the tempered glass. I used the dust sticker again and it removed the debris with ease. Positioning the tempered glass again I got it this time. For some reason the edges of the tempered glass still have this look that the sticky backing isnt completely pressed down. I try for 30sec-1min to hold my thumb on these areas and it comes back. That look when an air bubble is under and it wont get pressed out is the best I can describe.
I'm a perfectionist, this probably caused installing it harder than it should have been.
Yes there is a gap about 3 credit cards thick between top and bottom. I do wish it covered more toward the bottom and under the home button and reaching up between the front camera and earpiece grill.
There is also a gap of about 2 credits from the sides of the tempered glass and my Spigen Hybrid Crystal case. I understand why they did this because different cases grip around the front of the phone differently, so to be compatible the width of the tempered glass is just wide enough to cover the actual screen.
Just wish the tempered glass covered a little more.
The thickness of the amFilm tempered glass is .33mm. This makes the glass just a tad higher than the home button, which makes it nice as its more comfortable when my thumb may be at the bottom and it feels more flush than having the home button raised.
Another thing i notice is the softkeys at the bottom emit a glow just below the tempered glass ends. This annoys me because I feel the glass wasnt properly measured.
The glass is very smooth and attracts less finger prints than without it or on my bare LG G2 screen (having no screen protector).
After 3 days of use, there still are those areas around the screen that will not go away (See photo below). At the moment that is the only thing bothering me. It feels nice and visibility is perfectly clear, touch response has gone unchanged as well.

its not bad and for that price can't go wrong with it. It comes with a rear PET screen protector, which I did not install. So there is extra benefit :good: (I have plans to install a dBrand rear skin).

I have this. It cracks if you just drop the phone onto a hard surface from like 1 or 2 inches high. Very fragile... They replaced first one for free. I don't know if they will replace the second one. But, I'm happy it's there to take the impact in stead of the real screen..
There are glass sp 0.2-0.25mm thickness for less than $5 on ebay. They work just as well, if not better.
After having seen all of the issues with the glass screen protectors for this phone, I decided that I needed to try something else in the meantime. While I have a Sakai glass one that I ordered from ebay that is due roughly a month from now, I'm not very hopeful for it working. As a result of all of this and the need for a screen protector ASAP, I went with the Spigen screen protectors that I have seen mentioned on here. Having used PET films in the past, I was expecting a huge hassle. Bubbles, cheap feeling etc. Turns out, these worked REALLY damn well, to my complete surprise.
Installation:
Installation was quite easy, much easier than the older thin film screen protectors that I remember. You simply clean the surface of the phone, following the instructions. Place the tabs on the screen protector to help you position it. Then carefully position it properly keeping an eye on the edges and the sensors. It adheres to the screen very much like a glass screen protector does. There are a few small bubbles here and there, but they squeegee right out. I ended up with two permanent bubbles (one by the light sensor and one near the edge). Neither were the fault of the screen protector, both were caused by me rushing and nicking the surface of the screen protector when squeegee-ing the bubbles out. I think I could easily get it on there next time with zero bubbles. Way less hassle than any other attempt I have had with a film screen protector. One complaint I have is that they only included one alcohol wipe (everything else is in multiples), I don't know if I just got unlucky or they aren't thinking. Anyways, I have access to many solvents at work. No big deal for me.
Result:
How does it feel? A bit more plasticy than the usual glass screen protector but otherwise surprisingly nice. It adheres to the curves perfectly with no major bubbles, clarity-wise it is crystal clear. I honestly can't tell it is there. It adheres nicely to the curves of the display without any gaps (other than my nicks at the edge). My Otterbox Commuter case fits right over the top of it with ZERO problems. I was expecting these to be a stop-gap measure until the better glass ones come out but honestly I don't see anything wrong with these as is and would be just fine using these alone. I am not sure about longevity as I just installed it but so far I am actually surprisingly happy with it, especially for the cost. If you are on the fence between glass and plastic. Go with these plastic screen protectors for now and let the manufacturers work out the difficulties of the glass ones. Then you can decide later if you really want the glass one for you phone.

it will get scratched to **** within 2 weeks don't worry. Then you'll have to use another of the 3 that came with it.
Agreed with everything that OP posted, and agreed with the person above. Mine got scratched within a day but I got over it.
I installed one only because I tried three different Temper glass ones and none sealed correctly. I like it so far installed very good, covers the entire screen. So far so good.
I got a soft screen protector from AliExpress. It's a bit tricky to apply at first but once you get the idea it's not so bad.
The screen protector is really good! It's like silicon , doesn't get scratched easily.
Best part? it's 1.4$ each! What else can you ask for..?

I got the dark oak Xtremeskin!
I've put on a tempered glass before, it was kinda bad, lost saturation and brightness, and i got a clear case from spigen, but the case's lips protudes to the center so much that it started to push the screen protectir out!, I eventually removed the tempered glass... Not usre which screen protector to apply on with the spigen case :/
The Spigen Crystal Clear is too thin in my opinion - I killed it within a week. My old Spigen Steinheil Ultra on the S4 was way better. Purchased a CrocFol Premium instead.
Yup I have to change my opinion as well, used it for a bit, scuffed easily, stays clear without the rainbow effect. I had a few defects in my screen protectors, changed them out. Using the otterbox Defender case for now.
1$ tempered glass (rectangular) from AliExpress are perfect of you dont care leaving the top curved part unprotected. No bubbles, no rainbows, no effect on colors\contrast\clarity.
