Cases - S740, S743 Accessories

I've just ordered this phone a few days ago and waiting for delivery from the UK.
Just wondering what cases others have used for this phone? Or recommendations even?
I've got an i-mate SP5 (HTC Tornado) at the moment, which came with a leather pouch/holder (that hangs on the belt etc). I doubt the SP5 case will fit the S740, which I know is much longer in size.
It doesn't have to be one made specifically for this phone, it just needs to fit it.

I have one of the PDair aluminum cases for my S740. This followed me dropping the phone onto the sidewalk and cracking the nice front screen which in turn made me realize that the design of the phone offers no protection against this sort of accident.
So when I am out an about at the weekend, this wraps the phone in a very nice metal case that clips to the belt but gives you full access to all controls and buttons (except the QWERTY) without having to take the phone out of the case. You can then flip open the case (it has a hinge) to use the QWERTY if you need to.
So if what you need is proper protection against knocks, this is the case for you

That's probably good advice. I do have a tendency to drop my phones.
My Tornado's somehow managed to survive everything thus far with plenty of scratches to show for it.
I've already ordered the Krusell case, so i'll see how that one goes first. Otherwise i'll probably end up getting the aluminum one too.

Hi. I can recommend you the Krusell pouzdro Orbit flex or the Krusell Horizon.

Krusell Orbit Flex for HTC S740
Hi
I have got case "Krusell Orbit Flex for HTC S740" for few days. It is not bad case. It is good, but it has few problems.
By motaba
1.
There is no openning for USB port
http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/9296/20090115p1240607sz1.jpg
2.
Front of case is a little bit smaller, so phone is not covered/secured at front upper corner.

3.
Hole for camera a little bit out of line , so you can see it in photos taken by phone.

But I still think that this case is very good. These are only minor problems.
Krusell Multiadapt system is perfect. I am gonna buy CarHoldickit and BikeHolderkit.

no it does not come with a case.
Some of the pre release Press Review Models had a mesh slip case thing in the box but the retail boxed device does not come with any for of case or cover.

oh ic..
what a pity,so we have to buy a proper case for this thing.
hmm, i think its a little hard to find.
i wonder to buy the simple case for this rose, just like the one from default in E90 nokia does, i think its cool case

I got my S740 on an Orange contract. It came with a mesh style slip pouch. I've attached a photo of it.

I don't like krussel cases, particularly the plastic sheet that separates layers in sliders. I am convinced it makes the phone loose.
I can wholeheartedly recommend pdair as the best value quality case.
A step up is proporta, normally £10 more or so.
Top notch cases are from noreve - but you need to be keeping the phone for a long time to justify the noreve cost, although it is a thing of beauty
http://www.noreve.com/brand/HTC/product/Housse_cuir_HTC_S740_-_HTC_Rose_Tradition.html

Not sure if this is too late but I bought my Rose about 4 months ago and it came with the mesh slip case. Has kept it scratch free so far and I've dropped it a couple of times ad it has been fine. Good case.

My Japanese S22HT shipped with that mesh case, my S743 had nothing hahaha

I'm using the el-cheapo case that had come with my Cingular 2125 (HTC Faraday) for my S743. It's not the greatest protection, and it's a somewhat tight fit, but it's working out OK.
I was at Best Buy and there is an Eddie Bauer horizontal belt pouch that works well, but I didn't care for the suede interior, as it could retain grit, etc. that could scratch the keyboard. Hey, maybe Clarivue could come up with little squares to cover each individual key on the num pad?

I actually ended up dumping my krussel case as the plastic sheet got snagged in the slider and gradually the plastic just broke.
Now on the hunt for a new case (again).

I just ordered one of the Noreve cases for this thing. I have a tendency to destroy my phones so I needed something and wanted something nice. I'll let you know what I think of it in about two weeks when I am back from Vegas.

GREAT case. I am glad I spent the extra money.
The phone doesn't sit perfectly flat in the case due to the backing plate on the phone. I don't think this is a flaw on the part of the case, just the way it ends up being. I don't even really notice it anymore. I held the case and tried my best to shake the phone loose... no go. That think is IN there.
The keyboard slides in and out with ease and the little tabs that hold the phone down have yet to create any wear marks on the phone from sliding the keyboard open.
The belt clip is great and as best as I can figure, WILL NOT come off your belt accidentally. It can take a bit of getting used to clipping the phone onto the belt clip but eventually it becomes second-nature. When you spin the phone on the clip, it makes a "tick tick" kind of sound as it changes position. This is good for 2 reasons: You can verify, by feel, that the phone is clipped in properly, and you can have the phone hold position at various different angles.
My one beef is that the thread started to come out. This isn't really a huge deal since the side that the thread ends on is double-stitched for most of the length. I just trimmed it and put some clear nail polish on the thread to glue it in place. No problems on that front since.
I love the fact that there is no plastic over the keyboard. I HATE that cheap plastic crap they use on cases. It is such garbage! lol
One other note: The magnet is nice and strong. It is also in position that makes it almost impossible to open up when the phone is clipped in. It is, however, not so strong that it prevents you from flipping it open with one finger. Seems to be perfect strength.
overall i'd give it a solid 8 out of 10: I dock points for: Slightly uneven seating in the case, and thread coming out a bit. other than that, it is exactly what I expected.
WARNING: keep keyguard on at all times. Pressing your arm against the phone when it is on your belt can cause the "call" key to be depressed.

BeRad, it looks like a really nice case! But wow that price is really high (in Australian dollars it's $70.46).
But I guess the old saying goes, you get what you pay for!

hi friends, looking for a clear hard case for my rose or silicone case, both with two separate parts, one for back and one for front, can not find any on ebay, just found this mobilephonecrazy.com/modeldetail/S740,black_silicon_case.htm or mobilephonecrazy.com/modeldetail/S740,Clear_crystal_cover.htm

Gel Case Damaging Phone ?

Hi
Has anyone had any problems with the
"BLACK RESIN Soft Gel Case for the HTC DESIRE" from ebay
As it is quite 'firm' I'm concerned over time it will scratch or damage the desire's casing ..
Does anyone know of a decide soft flexible silicon case for the desire. One that can't damage the casing...?
any ideas / or comments ?
you might want to look at the invis shield thread which people are using, that seems to do the trick and is good
Thanks. Not sure I like them.
I got one. It is quite difficult to fit the desire in as the case is quite tight. It looks ok though after fitting the phone in
I have been using a 'Gel' case off ebay for about a month now and i too had concerns that it would damage to phone but I have taken it off a couple of times and there isn't a single mark anywhere on the phone!
It was a UK based one for like £2 i got.
Phil
I think a gel case would be OK, but this is a 'resin' case.. which is a little firm..
Thats what concerns me !!
Well mine is like a resin I guess. Like soft plastic material. It is quite firm and takes a bit of getting the phone in/out but like I say it hasn't make a single mark on the phone.
Phil
Cheers Phil..
I've ordered a cheap soft silicone case.. I'll see how that compares..
I had one of the soft silicone ones and although they are good protection wise and easy to get on and off I had a couple of issues with it.
I found that it made the rear of the phone go 'weird'. Hard to describe really but it made marks on the back cover with it being rubberised and having the rubber case on it left marks on the cover. They have rubbed off and dissapeared over time but I only used the case for about a week.
I found that it made the phone very bulky hence why i went for the 'Gel' one.
It was hard to get it in and out of my pocket as it gripped on my clothes too much.
Phil
Thanks for the replies.
The soft silicone case has arrives, doesn't feel as nice or fit as well as the resin case.
But doesn't feel like it will do any damage to the phone.
I'll see how I get on
i have one if those soft silicone cases, and ive noticed that when i remove it the back of my desire is unusually shiny, and now im wondering if that will return to the original non shine surface..
I had the same thing. It has returned to the normal state after using a gel case for a while.

This is why I went with the cheapo Gel case. I've had mine off and on a few times - no marks or anything. I was sending a text in a club and the phone was knocked out of my hand across the floor. No marks on case or anything.
The silicone case I have for my Blackberry is great although it tends to pull everything out of your pocket including the inside of the pocket - little annoying. Although it sticks to everything. you could leave it on the dash board of the car whilst driving and it wouldnt move at all.
pro's and cons. I prefer the gel one personally. Although the silicone stickyness comes in handy.
haha, my soft silicone case lost some of its traction i dont know why lol.
I've been looking around for cases for my desire,
can anyone recommend any sites that sells the resin gel ones the cheapest and has reputation for fast shipping?
I live in Canada, as much as I enjoy buying stuff online, I feel like I have to wait for like 100 years for an item to get here.
just changed my resin case to a soft gel.
Feels better add that to my new pouch that take the desire in the gel case..

Screen Protection Against Keys?

Hi guys,
I tend to keep my phone in the same pocket as my keys so clearly it'll need some kind of protection to avoid the screen getting scratched. For my old phone, I bought a leather case which worked really well for this, but it didn't have a touchscreen so it was easy to find a case that protected it well and allowed full functionality while the case was on.
So my questions are:
1. Is a screen protector (and perhaps thin gel case) sufficient for the HTC Desire, or do I need a proper leather case again?
2. Is there really that much difference between the different screen protectors? I've ordered 2 unbranded ones for under £2 on eBay but there are branded ones costing up to £10 each. Would one of those really be that much better?
3. If I were to buy a proper case, which leather case would you recommend that allows me to fully use the phone (and camera) while keeping it in the case? This includes being able to charge the phone while in the case. Obviously I know I'll have to take it out of the case to use in any kind of docking device, but the case should at least allow any cables (USB, headphones) to be plugged in.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi Alex.
You have several options open to you.
When I first got my Desire, I bought a neoprene pouch which had a nice mirco-fibre lining. This protected my phone completely, and the lining served to give my screen a wipe putting it in, and taking it out of its case.
However, obviously you have to take the phone out of the case to use it, and if you drop it now, it's unprotected. It'll be keyproof in yer pocket though.
I never keep keys in my phone pocket, and was worried about dropping it when it was out the case. But because I bought my phone pretty much straight after it's release, there were not many options available. (Different for you of course!)
After a couple of weeks, alternatives started popping up on eBay. I have gone with a rubber gel case (gloss black) and a screen protector. Now the only exposed parts are around the Home, Menu, Back and Search keys. Acceptable for me. Looks good too.
Screen protectors are a tricky issue. I waited for the offical HTC ones to come out. Somehow this took HTC 2 months after the release of the phone! They are an expensive waste of time. Avoid them. Instead, go for the cheap ADHESIVE FREE ones. The HTC ones have a sticky backing, which attracts air-bourne dust the second you peel the backing off to apply it to the phone. This means that no matter how careful you are, the dust particles prevent the protector from lying flush against your screen, creating lots of bubbles you can't smooth out. It also means the dust is now securely glued to the thing, and trying to remove it adds yet more dust and your finger prints!
Go for the £2 washable & reusable ones, and when they start to lift off and get dust under the corners (and they will) just peel it off, throw it away an put another one on. They say washable and reusable, but I've found they never go back quite the same after a wash. But when it's £2 for 5, and each one lasts a month, why bother? It just means that they do not use glue to stick to your screen and wont leave a residue.
From experience, avoid the ZAGG "Invisible Shield" full body protectors you may stumble across. The small bits that protect the sides peel away, and the screen protector part has an orange peel texture, and its kind of 'grippy' meaning your finger wont swipe across the screen very well. Plus it is a real bee-hatch to apply, and takes 24 hours to 'cure'. (you have to use a solution to float the pieces into place.)
I would recommend doing what I have done, and using a gel case/screen protector combo for general protection. If you are still worried about your keys marking the remaining exposed areas, buy a neoprene pouch too. Just buy one for a slightly wider phone than the Desire (HTC HD2?) as the gel case will make it too tight a fit, and the gel case will 'grip' the pouch lining to some extent. But hey, your phone will remain pristene.
Search for "Case Mate Torque HTC Desire". It is a well made rubber case, which comes with a screen protector. Can be found on eBay for £20. Can't say how good the screen protector is, but the case looks nice. Getting one myself soon. Plenty of low cost alteratives available of course. Mine cost £2.50 and is absolutely fine.
Hope I've helped some.
Will.
Edit: Forgot to cover your leather case queries. Sorry. I have not used a leather flip case for this phone, but I did have one for my last phone, a Nokia 5800, and I found the Proporta brand had the best build quality. It is even lined with aluminium plate to fend off even the most severe of knocks. The low cost ones from Honk Kong were not leather, and the plastic clips that held the phone in place snapped off after a couple of weeks of removing/replacing the phone. Be prepared to spend at least £20 again if you want a decent leather one.

The only trouble with the cases is removing them constantly to fit into a Brodit car mount, its quicker to get it out of a leather pouch than a gel case

Thanks for the reply - let me know about the case when you get it. Have you found the Martin Fields screen protector to be worth the price? And have you been keeping the phone in the same pocket as keys/similar?
I'm wondering if it would just be easier if I found a way of not having my keys and phone in the same pocket, but I've had it that way for years and it would take a bit of adjustment not to.

I received these (they were branded 'MobileGUARD') yesterday and they seem to be OK - quite easy to apply since they had tabs to prevent you having to touch the actual protector, and looks fine once on. The only issue was that the tab did not remove properly so I had to clean the residue, but it was on the exposed side (not in contact with the screen) so not too much of a problem. There is a slight difference in feel (it's a bit 'harder') but the touch screen is just as easy to use as before. Only thing so far I've noticed against it is that it seems to smudge easier, but that may be because of the warm weather (i.e. I don't know if this would've happened without it), we'll see. I'm still unsure as to whether it would be sufficient protection against keys though...
I tried a 'Noreve Tradition' leather case (£30 off MobileFun) and though it fits well, is slim, looks alright, seems to have good construction quality and protects the phone, it's not that convenient to use it in the case (it's hard to hold the phone in the case, and the USB port isn't accessible). So I'm still looking for a solution (at the moment I'm using a leather pouch with screen protector).
Mobile fun are very good with returns. I had the same problem with my nokia leather case with the leather flap getting in the way. Bad case design not to allow usb access tho.
I have taken dave g's advice and gone for the case-mate torque case and screen protector combo. As advised they accepted a £16 offer. Its in the post so will advise on suitability after a bit of hands-on time.
Try out the cheap amazon or ebay rubber/gel cases. There are ones that cover over the front hardware buttons exposing only the optical pad.
Go to amazon and search for "Black XYLO SuperTuff Soft Silicone Shell / Skin / Case for the HTC Desire Mobile Phone".
Combine that kiddy with a screen protector and you could play hockey with your phone and not mark it! Ok maybe not but you'd be doing well to scratch it.

My torque case just showed up. Very nice. Gives the phone a slightly chunkier look, but personally I like it.
Nice soft rubber, and offers much better protection for the camera lens than my other case. Pleased.
Have not tried fitting the screen protector yet, as the one already fitted is doing ok for now. Looks like it is a decent one tho, with a cleaning cloth and application card.

I'm not too bothered about marks or scratches, as long as they don't affect functionality (i.e. on the screen or the camera, which is why I'm concerned that my keys could scratch through a screen protector if they just happen to become lodged at an unfortunate angle in my pocket...).

I received one of these today. It looks OK and has indents/marks for the buttons and cutouts for the connectors so you can fully use the phone while it's in the case, but I feel the case is too loose - if you push the sides to make it tight there's a 5mm gap from the phone to the case above the optical trackpad. It does however make it easy to put the phone in and take it out of the case. Also, I'm not really sure how much protection it adds to the phone - it seems quite soft. So while it isn't bad for the price, I'm going to return it and keep looking for something better.
there's loads on ebay, you should try there.
I just use neoprene pouch (£3.50 on ebay) and it is quite good. I've recently discovered that it is waterproof as well - phone was on the desk and I spilled glass of water - pouch got wet slightly on the outside but desire was bone dry ;-)
For screen protection I use a Clear Armor screen protector. It has a lifetime warranty and self heals almost all marks and scratches.
Got mine here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390220617200
Whil at work I use a cheap leather belt case, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120563838769&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT and if I don't want it on my belt I use a slim brown leather slip case. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280512213140&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I use the screen protectors linked to below with my old G1 pouch, works fine, no scratches yet!
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003JCUKGK/ref=oss_product
Thanks for all the suggestions.
I just tried a (Proporta) Alu Leather Case and again while it was well-made, looked and felt good, I didn't find it satisfactory functionally (hard to use while in case, USB port not accessible for charging/sync). So I'm sticking with the cheap screen protector I got (which seems fine) and the official leather pull case. That and putting my keys in another pocket to be safe.

[Q] Silicone (soft) case for Epic 4G?

I've never had a slider phone before, so I was wondering if it is feasible / likely that there will be soft cases available for the Epic? I really love the OEM silicone case my BB Curve 8330 has - it protects it from scratches and bumps while being relatively thin and pleasant to hold (and dirt cheap, too!). While I think reasonable people can differ, I believe soft cases offer better protection from drops (not just protecting the actual corners like a hard case, but reducing the shock to the phone as a whole).
I can see how it could be difficult to get a soft case to properly adhere to the phone, but I've also seen a few such cases for the Moment (though not very many, and not through more established channels - just isolated ones on eBay). Is this just a matter of taste, or does that type of case not work well with sliders (either because it won't stay on, or because in order to do so, it must impede either the sliding mechanism or other functions of the phone)?
I was looking for a case the other day and I did see one listed, but I'd like to see how it actually works. With a slider, most cases are two part -- the top piece snaps onto the screen, and the back piece snaps onto the back.
The top piece generally doesn't have a lot of surface area and really only protects the edges and gives it a lip so you can put the screen face down on a table or something. But because of that, you don't have a lot to work with for surface area for the case to grip onto.
http://store.cheapdroids.com/Zooly-Silicone-Skin-Jelly-Case-Orange-for-Samsung-Epic-4G.html is that soft case I was looking at.
In looking at that one and reading the description, it's not totally apparent to me that the case allows you to slide out the keyboard. It almost looks like a conventional silicone case, and perhaps you have to remove it to slide open the keyboard (which would stink). Alternatively, maybe there's an opening for the keyboard on the side, but then the back half of the phone would have to be able to slide relatively frictionlessly against the back part of the case.
I wish they had more pictures, or, better yet, that someone would post a hands-on review!
Thanks for the info though - it's good to have someplace to start!
the screen is big enough to use the virtual keyboard they should make a soft gel case that prevents it from opening ive had the phone for a while and i still haven't used the keypad
I saw a silicone soft case for the Moto Cliq in a Tmobile store.
See I want Samsung branded accessories for the Epic. Which means the belt pouch, and the gel case. Do you think any place will offer it?

Maybe so, but if I was content with that, I'd have probably kept my Evo!
When I picked up my Epic 4G this am from Radio Shack, I bought one of those soft rubberly like cases that fit the Epic perfectly. All appropriate areas are open. It is a two piece and the slider works with them in place no problem. Cost was $14.99 and is black in color.

Is it silicone or TPU? And I would love to see pictures if you don't mind.

I got that one too, then took it the hell off. My case did not slide well with it on, like there was some friction, and then the front part of the keypad got a few light scuffs from said friction. If yours fits, thats all good and dandy, but mind did not.
Yup, I just did the same, took off that
Yup, I just did the same. I took off that cover. I took a closer look at it and the nubs that snap the cover to the Epic do slightly stick up enough to prevent a smooth closing of the cover. Guess I will just have to keep in in one of those special cases or wallet like thingies for protection then.
Disappointing to hear, I prefer a softer case
I went ahead and ordered some $4 shipped case off of eBay just to see what that's about. I'll try to post pictures once I get it.
I got this case off of ebay and it work fine so far. http://cgi.ebay.com/Carbon-Fiber-Ha...665056?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item51949cf420 $6.95 shipped was worth giving a try.

LOL. I'm your echo. I said the same thing when I clicked it.
haha yeah fake carbon is a no-no. anywho, i ordred the plain black version from ebay and its exactly the same on that radio shack was offering except it was for $7 instead of the $14.99. its hard plastic but coated with rubber. i got it today in the mail, put it on and then quickly took it off. it lightly scratched my keys .. i kept the bottom part (battery part) on for now cuz i do not want to scratch the bottom.
This is the downfall of sliders
Limited case selection!
It's hard to find a TPU case or a Silicone case like the ones the hero uses.
The ones that you guys are talking about (the two piece) ones do little to absorb shock. They're plastic coated with basically soft touch rubber...

X2
The only TPU or Gel cases that I have seen that work well with sliders and provide protection are the Crystal slips ( Ebay, Boxwave ), TPU Gel cases ( Ebay ).
I have a Crystal slip on my Touch Pro 2 and love it but it will be a few weeks before the template comes out for a Epic 4g crystal slip.

[Q] Case input

I've been searching the net for a hard case for my i9000m (currently in for repairs..)
I have looked at a few and these peak my interest, but I would like your input on what to buy and it doesn't have to be from something I post.
Here they are:
Case-Mate Tough
and
Anycall Punch Mesh Case
Thanks for your opinions!
About the Anycall Mesh case: it's nice and cool, doesn't add too much thickness to your phone but... it does not protect well. I am using mine about 2 months and it already cracked (not completly, some small piece in the upper left side had broken). It's still usable, but imo it's not very durable (i'm very careful about my phone). I'm looking for something with more protection, but I fear there will be nothing that stylish
How about any kickstand cases that have a lip on the front to prevent screen damage?
Problems with some hard cases is it might damage the color on the edges and most of them doesn't protect the upper top and bottom of the phone, so its not 100% protection.
But you have a good choice with a combination of hard and soft material in single case. The inside of the case that which comes in contact of the phone's body is rubber (silicon) and outside has a good hard fibre. Might be bit expensive but great value for money and protection of phone.
Otterbox cases
this is another case from Casemate,
http://www.case-mate.com/Samsung-Ga...axy-S-T-Mobile-Vibrant-Barely-There-Cases.asp

Last time I ordered I just ordered it online from the US - delivery was pretty quick...
http://www.otterbox.com/Samsung-Gal..._color=20&start=1&cgid=samsung-galaxy-s-cases
This one is 2 bucks, and kicks ass, I ordered it for building a custom car mount but it would make a great hardcase as well, adds very little to the size of the phone.

I tried to order one but I get an error message when i try to submit my order. The customer support has not answered to my complains yet.
I found a dealer in germany but they start to deliver the boxes at the end of january. I mean the END OF JANUARY... I'm not sure I can wait that long...
I use the Case-mate Tough case.
Works great, I feel my phone is pretty safe from being in my pocket and possible drops.
It comes with a soft rubber layer case and a hard case for protection.
My only issue is that to me I can be pressing the power button on the side, without realising it sometimes.
Overall I highly reccomend it.
Buy This awesome kickstand case dude!

This is the only case i use as it so awesome!
The Hinge is made of metal and i have been using it for half a year now and it hasn't shown any sign of weakness.
Has anyone used otterbox for galaxy s? would like to hear feedback. thanks!

I ordered mine two days ago and go it two minutes ago. It fits perfect and gives a secure feeling right from the start. And it looks cool. Would you like to know more?
It's a compromise.
The thicker the case, the more cumbersome it becomes, but the better protection it offers.
The thinner the case, the slimmer and lighter the phone is, but the less protection it offers.
I keep my phone in my jeans pocket, so a thick case like otterbox is completely unacceptable to me. Currently I am using a SGS leather flip open case. http://www.exportprive.com/advanced...escription=0&keywords=galaxy S&sort=2a&page=4

Yeah, amazing protection on mine as well. only drawback is that the screen protector does not protect the entire screen and misses a lot of the buttons on the bottom.
I use a screen protector by 3M. The Vikuiti DQC-160.

NILLKIN Shockproof Bumper Case Cover Shell

Hi what do you think about this bumper?

I had that for the LG G3. I really liked it.
I always use bumper cases because it does not press on the back cover when I put Qi receivers, and also allow heat to escape from the back.
Is there anyone in here who used this Nillkin bumper case? Please tell us how it is...
I can't find it yet available in US, but it's all over ebay and amazon but coming from china...
I've got one on my phone right now, the grey one to be exact.
its nor what i'd call excessively bulky, but some people might complain over that, the screen is protected with the regular bump on the front part, its quite grippy as the back side remains accessible, the feel of the case is amazing, cutouts are perfect, materials are good, uses bumpy tpu-ish gel-ish plastic on the back and front size for the shock apsorbing, sides are made from strong plastic aswell. Buttons are easily accessible, very easy to press, but doesnt press when putting the phone in the pockets, didnt scratch the phone sides (yet) and its easy to remove even tho its a quite tight fit case.
the little backside rubber part make the phone stable on a flat surface, makes it stick a bit from the ground so the camera is protected. If you drop your phone directly on the back part on a non flat ground your camera will prolly be shattered.
Its my everyday case, would for sure recommend it (got it for about 8$ from ebay)
lemme know if you have any more questions :>

Thanks, the rubber at the front, is it loose or does it feel like it will loosen up in time? I have ordered one anyway because I like bumper cases. Thanks

Its very tight, it wont loosen as the side plastic holds it at place, its an unibody case tho, so the rubber wont separate from the plastic bit. But its quite good, disallows the specs of dust and sand to get in between the case and the metal bezels of the phone, overall i'm very satisfied with it on that area.
The grip is great, buttons work very well and it lets heat escape.
I own two spigen, uag and many cheap ones.
I prefer this one any day.
I bought the gray first. Loved it except the front part is gray.. I thought it was black like all the others with the colors on the back.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I bought the orange and I absolutely love it.
I like it so much. That I already bought the other two colors, red and blue.. ?
