Searched, Read Wiki, Experimented, still need help changing themes - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi all,
Been on the forum for a couple of months. It's been a great learning experience. I Have a Touch Pro and have Downloaded and installed ROMeOS2 v1.50.4 B1208 and flashed the radio to 1.02.25.28 Raphael (better than .32 version for me which I flashed to first).
I have also installed Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7 and attempted to install new themes.
Here's my problem - no matter which theme I install - I can't change the red "flame" background on the home screen. I've spent several hours looking around, searching to no avail. It's time to ask.
What am I not doing?! Or doing wrong?
Thanks much,
David

tf3d settings tab (like a gear cog), tap wallpaper, use default.
edit: assuming you've already changed theme and the home tab is the only thing you are having an issue with.

from what i'm reading, might be just my interpretation, but it sounds like you're simply just havign a problem with the wallpaper, not the theme? isn't the simple fix as venelar described, and using whichever wallpaper you want (assuming you have a wallpaper you'd like to use and know the file location)

Yes, It is wallpaper I cannot seem to change. Where is
tf3d settings? I can't find the settings icon in programs, accessories, settings, etc - I've looked everywhere!

its a tf3 tab. generally all the way to the right. has the communications stuff on it that you press to go into comm manager to turn on off wifi/bluetooth etc..

You looked everywhere, but must have missed the Settings tab in TF3D.
When you are on your TF3D homepage, go to the settings tab (by sliding your thumb to the right untill you get to the tab named 'Settings').
On that tab there is a rule stating: Wallpaper. It is the third option on the settings tab. I bet its even explained in the manual .

Menu Colors

its such a pretty phone with such a pretty interface and yet there are some graphical inconsistencies that are buggin the hell out of me. when touchflo 3d is turned on and off the start menu and quick menu change color schemes. i dont like any of those colors the way they are and i want to change them. how would i go about doing this? thanks. and it doesNT matter about the colors withOUT touchflo 3d because i will probably always have it on. i was just showing that it was different and how weird that is.
btw im running da_g's clean fuze rom which is why it doesnt quite look like the oem rom. i also included screenshots to show you what i am talking about.

^omgmyspace! screenshots!
any help? no? i just want to change some colors.
You might want to look at this thread. It's the Manila customizer. There's far more you can do than just color changes, but I think it's your only hope, unless you find an existing theme that somebody else already made.
so it is in the manilla theme? cause i installed the stock att theme from da_g's cab list and it looks different than the stock roms which made me think it was a registry entry that was not added. but ill check it out.
i felt a bit overwelmed last time i tried to use manilla customizer when i was trying to change the background on all tabs, which ended up never getting changed. but ill have another go at it and maybe ill get more things just the way i want.
what i figured out was it wasnt manilla customizer i used it was manilla editor i had used. but both are useless. HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu\ and HKCU\Software\HTC\TaskManager\ and the dwords ManilaCustomHlDown and ManilaCustomHlUp in each which let me change select colors. its hex but its backwards hex so instead of rgb its bgr. that stumped me for like 15 minutes. and apparently you use the string CustomManilaTexture to change the backgrounds but its not working for me yet. ill fiddle with that until it does.

How can i get a homescreen like this ?

Is it from a new version of TouchFlo?
I really like the 3 "add Shortcut" icons, maybe there is a cab, to get it to work like that.

Well my friend if you like shortcuts...may be you consider SPB mobile shell 3.01....
YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE IT THE WAY YOU WANT IT, PLACING THE SHORTCUTS THAT YOU NEED AND USE MOSTLY. THE CHOICES ARE ENDLESS...LOOK INTO IT , YOU WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO MANILLA...BELIEVE ME!!!
here is my home page on it shortcuts that i use all the time including my 2 preferred contacts
and by the way that my baby Kiara
Looking nice
But i haved tried mobile shell, it´s ok, but i more like touch flo.
So i hope to find a program or tweak there can do it.
You might want to take a look at this ROM:
[14 Aug][WWE] udK Leo R1 WM6.5 - Build 21840.5.0.60 - Base v2.08 - Hero UI Manila 2.6
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524224
I've been using it and it's fantastic. You have the shortcuts (actually you scroll it, so instead of just 3 you have 9). Other details in this ROM make it a great experience. I don't feel like going back to 6.1 after using it, still needs some bugs to be fixed, but you can give it a try.
I use the shortcuts for:
1- Enabling Bluetooth (CicleBT)
2- Toggle Wifi On/Off
3- Gmail shortcut
Hope this helps you
It's 2.5....

You realise of course that getting this home screen involves first Hard SPL for your phone and then flashing the new ROM. Tom Codon has a 2.5 ROM that is not particularly buggy - I find it fine for day to day use you can find it at http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274

Where's the Notification Area/System Tray in WM 6.5?

New here, first post. Looks to be a very informative site! Excited to get my hands on WM 6.5.1 and Manilla/Sense 2.5 ROMs.
Anyway....where is the System Tray in WM 6.5? You know, the icons that show at the bottom of the screen on WM 6.x (before 6.5) when you have certain applications open? Such as AIM, PDAnet, etc.. I don't see it on my Imagio (Manilla), or in the 6.5 emulator. Manilla does provide the helpful running-apps menu, however.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
It's on the today screen (disable chome or manila).
Hmm, I'm not seeing it on the today screen. Is it possible that it's not enabled? Maybe I'm missing something, do you have a screenshot?

Well, there are only a few apps that show the icon. Dotfred's task manager does if you uncheck "no icon in tray." Also, mymobiler does it if select the option to show it. The only other app I have that I can do it with is SK Today Commander, but it also has a plugin, so the icons are redundant and kind of fugly to boot (the #'s are the plugin).

Ah, but you're not using WM 6.5, you're using 6.5.1 or some modified version. I'm talking with straight 6.5, there is no tray area. Also with Manilla there is no tray area, apparently.
I'm using 28002 (6.5.3), but trust me, it's there in 6.5.0 builds, too. You have to disable CHome in the home/today settings (windows default in the check list) and just use the regular Today screen to see it. The other plugins like CHome and Manila cover it up. It's still there, you just can't see it because the UI is a Today overlay. For whatever reason, I prefer the Today screen over all the other UI's available. I don't like finger scrolling so much to find things.
Ah! I didn't realize the new default home screen was called CHome. Disabled that and now I see the normal Today screen, complete with the Tray icons. Thanks!

s2u2 install, bottom row shifted?

i don't know how to explain it, but i'm 99% positive it has to do with the installation of s2u2 as it happened immediately after. so i installed s2u2 to try it out and see what the hype was all about, and all of a sudden, all icons that show on the bottom of my phone have shifted down. today screen, messaging, everywhere...any icons on the bottom have shifted down. i'm going to post a screenshot below this, but does anyone have any idea what's happened?

I'm too! plz help!!
anhphe076: It looks like you're using coOkie's home tab. 1'st did you do a soft reset after installing s2u2? 2'nd if that doesn't work did you try selecting menu from the bottom right and selecting "Edit Home Layout" and playing around with that? Maybe those will help.
the edit home layout doesn't let you move the bottom slider icons around.
I u Co0kie's Home Tab v1.7.1, I soft reset 2'nd time but it problem!!
I was thinking that if you reduced the number of quicklinks that were showing on the home tab from 3 rows to 2 rows and then restarted manila that it might resolve the problem. Sorry for not being more specific. Other than that, have you tried uninstalling s2u2?
I have used S2U2 on almost all ROMs out there and havent had this problem. Have you selected to auto-hide the manila bar ? If yes, try disabling that option and see if it helps.
Hi guys! I have been having this same problem but haven't yet been able to determine exactly what is causing it. However I have found a way to kinda fix the problem. I have cleanRAM installed and have it configured to restart Sense without doing a soft reset. Once it resets Sense, the slider position is corrected. The only catch is that this needs to be done after each soft reset...
I had this as well. There's a new version of s2u2 which fixes the issue - have you checked the website?

Look at that! I just installed s2u2 version 2.40 and the shifted slider problem is no more! Thanks, guy

[How To] Change the right softkey

if you want to change the right softkey all you have to do is:
1: Download my manila file
2: Backup the original 07c67730_manila file in your windows folder
3: Copy my manila file to your windows folder
4: With your favorite registry editor goto: HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila
5: Change: HomeRSKPath / HomeRSKText / HomeRSKArguments to what ever you like
For contacts change HomeRSKPath to: Manila://people\browserlayer\?.page
To remove quick Links without the menu all you do is hold the quick link you dont want for about 3-4 seconds and then drag it away this works on my rom but gessing its the same for all roms

FYI, I used HD2Tweaks to achieve the same result without the hassle of backup up/copying manila files, going into the registry etc.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=588652
Nice iv never used hd2tweaks before gess ill have to make mine even better so that it will have some use
*EDIT*
After testing hd2tweaks the right softkey setting never worked for me so i gess this is for people where hd2tweaks dont work
*EDIT*
Don't know if it's the Dutty ROM I have, Co0kie's Home Tab, or the ROM that you use, but the long-hold on quicklinks does nothing for me. Shame, because that sounded like a nice feature.
im also useing duttys rom so i gess its the Co0kie's Home Tab
I'm using an old version of a Dutty ROM - HG v0.8. It could be something that he himself introduced, if you're using a later version than me, but if that's the case then I'm pretty sure installing Co0kie's Home Tab would stop it working.
Im useing dutty HG 2.9
I was trying to make a customizable right softkey menu but run into some problems. I could make any of the menu items run anything that i set in the registry but i could not change the menus text
E.G i could make it so that when you click on somethink like Set Local Time and Date it would open the all people page but i could not change the text from saying Set Local Time and Date to say Contacts or any kind of text
the menu is loaded from Manila://home_menu.dialog if anyone knows how i can make my own .dialog so i can change the menu it would be grate
Thank you Splder!
It is perfect!
