Along with other people, I am trying to translate my Toshiba Portege G810 into English. My particular version is in Chinese. Toshiba is not helpful in providing an English ROM for our particular region. To add insult to injury, the "English" version at http://www.toshiba.co.jp/product/etsg/cmt/english/asian/g810/g810_rom.htm is not English, but merely Chinese with an English soft-keyboard.
If anyone out there owns an English Toshiba G810, it would help us immensely if you can provide us with a ROM dump. Instructions will be provided on how to achieve the dump, and it should not risk your device in any way.
Once the dump is completely, word on the street is that there is a method to re-flash other devices with the English ROM. I've heard it done...but haven't had the pleasure of achieving it myself.
If you can help out, please PM me. You're going to be making my (as well as other people's) Christmas present actually usable!

From your signature I figure you are located in Moscow. If this is so I could help you, not with rom itself but rather with a device that has got english rom. I own an almost new palm 500v (vodafone version with english rom) that I don't mind to swap for russian palm 500 (I happen to be Russian). If you are interested drop a line to [email protected]

Hello! I have a question.
Recently I purchased a brand new Treo 750, which comes with Mobile 6 in english.
However, due that this is a gift for somebody else, and that person doesn´t speaks English, I need to get it in spanish, however, that option doesn´t comes with the phone.
Any ideas how I can get a spanish ROM and apply it to my phone?

I also face another problem...The windows mobile OS is in Italian language and I don't speak any Italian..What would it take to install English version latest stable os?
I am complete noob to pda phones but eager to learn.

First guess would either be an Alpine or a Himalaya.
Take the battery out and have a look at the wee label underneath, this will give you the exact model.
PH10B = Himalaya
PH10C = Alpine
Both can be "upgraded" to an English ROM, the Himalaya can also be upgraded to WM6, but it doesn't have WiFi.

Hope someone can help as i have been reading forums all weekend and I am swimming in information but not sure if i have the information needed.
Anyway I just purchased a bunch of the new Ainol Tornados tablets for some Thai friends and was under the impression that they would have Thai language.
I assumed this was built into the ICS operating system. Also some suppliers of this Tablet insist the ones they are selling have Thai Language. But these do not.
I found a feiyu mod 0526 rom that seemed quite good and flashed it to the device. After the flash it rebranded the model to a GT-I9100 (and got rid of all the Chinese apps) which i believe is a Samsung Galaxy 2 Rom.
So my question is could i use other roms designed for the Samsung Galaxy 2 given this rom is working on the Ainol.
My only want is to get it running Thai Language as if i had chosen that option under the settings menu. I know i can use apps like Morelocale2 which only goes part way to solving my problem but i would really like a more thorough solution.
I did also wonder about trying to use roms from other Ainol Tablets such as the Ainol Advanced version has Thai language? Would this potentially cause bricking or is it something i could just test.
Any help would be hugely appreciated....
