I am having a bit of a problem. I flashed the ROMeOs rom for the Fuze and have very little else installed yet. My problem is when i check the HTC task manager in the top right hand corner it says I am at between 45 and 52%. That seems very high considering I have nothing running. I am going to put up a few screen shots of what I have (once I get them small enough to upload)so you guys can maybe figure it out.
Let this and other redundant threads die in the new year. If we stop feeding the noobs maybe they'll learn how to use the search function.
Maybe if the search function didnt return all sorts of irrelevant crap or maybe if there was some sort of dictionary of all the damn acronyms you use, then maybe just maybe all of us noobs wouldnt ask all of you high and mighty a**holes "stupid" questions. Remeber you were once a noob too. For some of us this is our first time with this stuff.
Hey I got an idea how about an area just for noobs so we dont have to wade through all the BS just to get a simple answer or get smart ass comments like above.

That said, it IS hard to search the forums sometimes, however, I keep reading and reading and eventually find an answer and when I don't, I too will ask. Sometimes answers are within a thread that isn't really about what I wanted to know. Bottom line, I just read and read and read. I stumble upon a lot of great stuff that way. I'll never be able to do what these guys do, but I sure can benefit from it.
Now, THAT said, there is no reason for being nasty to a noob. As he said, EVERYONE was a noob at one time. Some of these threads are pages and pages long. I'm just looking for a simple answer, but don't know where the friggin' hell to find it. If you can't be bothered answering my "stupid" question, then move on. Even though I'm a New Yorker, I have to admit that we are a bunch of assholes. I go down to Texas, Oklahoma, and Nevada often and everyone there is so laid back and friendly. When I get back to the big apple I have to remind myself not to say hello to strangers on the street. You cant deny that sweet tea is the greatest thing ever.

I don't know why lots of people on XDA Devs are such downers. He just asked for an interesting app and everyone comes and flames him because he's not "serious" enough or whatever the flying heck that means.
I've seriously seen some people asking for some help on the HD2 and when no one can help him, he gets criticized for being an iPhone sympathizer and turned away.
If some people want a rotary app you just say if you can help or turn away, don't leave a jerk comment, and close the thread. No need to be rude, witty or worse.

The iPhone has some great apps. It would be nice if they worked on the HD2. But they don't. But when people ask if there's a comparable app, I don't see a problem with it. I myself am one of your "Serious Users," and I wish there were more of the little fun apps for the HD2.

the funny thing is, i guess that no one would have been upset about this request/thread if there wasn't such an app for the iphone

My first post here for saying that I agree with you that everybody should love everybody. I don't have you experience here and other thread, but I didn't see so much fight.

Over the years, xda has grown dramatically.
And as more people are getting Smartphones, the more people will come here. It´s logical behavior as it is well known that this community is one of the largest, and one of the best for all kinds of devices.
Yes, there are beginners who come here and seem not to be aware of any kind of "netiquette", acting sometimes rude, sometimes straight out stupid.
For long time users and members, it is clear to search something oneself at a start, in almost all cases, you will find something.
It gets indeed boring and disturbing to see the same and the same questions again and again, you feel like a hamster in its wheel. Some people seem to be just too lazy to work out something themselves.
If you´re nice and friendly, you´ll always get positive feedback - just like in "real life": The "virtual" life is part of that, you should not separate both. In some cases I think I am thankful not to meet such egoistic, self-centered guys on the street, acting like they do here.
For myself, I tend not to say "everybody loves everybody", but "respect". Especially those skillful, energetic devs who share their great work with us, making our user experience with our devices even more fun. Since I don´t have the knowledge, nor the time to gather such know-how, I am more than happy and thankful to all contributors at xda and other forums.
Keep the netiquette, as if you want to meet a new girlfriend/boyfriend, and you´ll be fine...
This ROM is being based off Xboarder, it is total basic. Much faster than Xboarder. You guys will see all the system apps i deleted! Everything is extra smooth. I removed lwp but u can add them later!

i think we should stop being surprised by age and everything with the doubting and whatever. im just wondering what a kid would be doing with a cell phone like a sensation at his age and who was the one that taught him or when he started learning.

People are making a big deal about this and he hasn't posted anything yet. Don't get me wrong, I encourage all people to share on xda if they want to but from the sounds of it he deleted some system apps and might of made a couple tweaks. I'm not downgrading him at all cuz even that is impressive at age 12. Xboarder has developed some nice stuff for the age of 16 which is truly awesome! I wish both of you youngins great success .

Exactly, and chances are, most devs don't even have the phones yet.
Here's a suggestion. Buy a Dev a phone and I'm sure they'll drop everything and get right on it.
