Media Monkey for PC - Google it - it is free and pretty easy to use
Even if you do this though, not all album art will appear on your Device while playing and I really don't understand Why some does and others do not yet. the easiest way to have album art show up on your device is to have your music devided into folders and have the album art saved in the folder in .jpg format and call the .jpg either "folder" or "cover" You album art will appear in WMP, s2p, mortplayer, tcpmp using this method. TCPMP will show some embedded album art and apparently so will s2p but s2p does not show all embedded album art for some reason - especially in cover flow mode.

Embedding album art?

Hi all, Im using a HP hw6900 series as my primary mobile device and I must confess that pimping Windows Mobile devices is fun. So far I've been using Pocket Player as my music application but I've just installed S2P which seems to have a nice album art Cover Flow features. However, most (90%) of my songs have no album art embedded. For those other songs which have album art, they were already 'there' when I transferred them over to my memory card.
How do I embed album art into my songs and using which software (presumably using Windows Media Player?)?
Thanks in advance for the help
Just make sure your Album Covers are updated, at least there, in WMP on your PC, and sync your music files through it, it's quite possibly the most simple thing on earth.
If you have an album on your WMP library you can just drag an image onto it and it will "merge" it automatically.
You can also just add a folder.jpg image with the cover to the directory of each album, s2p will read it
Thanks, I used the folder.jpg method and it works... yay I love my flowing covers now thanks again
to literally attach them into you're (mp3?) files youc could use mp3tag (free) on PC, after which they are in the files, no need for folder.jpg etc. so you can just copy files as files on a memory stick, rather than syncing slowly.

[RESOLVED] Adding CD Cover Images for MP3's w/o one

To add custom CD covers for music in TF3D, you need to first create the image in 256x256 w/ 82 DPI. Title the file ~hTC_<Album Name Goes Here>.jpg and move it into your My Music folder on your Fuze. Once it's there, go in and set the properties to hidden on the album cover.
Now, to get the image to show up on music that's already loaded onto your Fuze, just load each song individually. As of now, that's the only solution I've found for making the images show up. Any other hints or tips will be added to this first post as I see them. Feel free to post your own.
Apparently you can also embed the album art on your PC and it will tag along wherever the MP3 is moved to. (Thanks Kerensky97)

For instance when I add some Shinedown songs from the new Us and Them album, the cover is there but when I put James Blunt on, I get the standard empty one. Anyway you can assign images to all your music?

I have noticed that most music players require that you place an album cover photo in .jpg format and name the cover either "folder" or "cover". Place the ablum cover in a folder with your music. Some players will show some of the embedded album art but not all of the embedded album art. Using the method I mentioned above works for most players.
Separate your music into seperate folders (I separate by album, artist and sometimes by type of music, then place an album cover in .jpg format into the folder and name the album art "folder". All the songs in that folder witht that album art should display that particular album art when playing.
If you put all you mixed songs into one folder and put one album art using the method mentioned above you will always see the same album cover for every song - this is why you will want to separate your music.
This works for me using Windows media player, TCPMP, S2P, and Mort Player.
I'm using the standard music player in TF3D. I have my music sorted into folders by the first letter of the artist but I don't see the same album art for all artists starting with S. I did see the art, I'll try to figure out the format and see if I can finagle it.
I dont have TF3D So I really can't say how it would work for that since I havn't tried it. you can try to embedd the art manually into each song. use something like Media Monkey (which you can download for free) to try embedding album art to you songs. I usually get my album art from this web site
http://www.albumart.org/
All my album art(jpg) is embedded in the MP3 metadata using Mp3tag and it all shows up fine in TF3D. It obviously checks that tag to see if you have it so no need for additional files in your folders (although I wonder which it will prefer if you have both?).
Do it to all your music on your computer and you can copy/paste/cut/rearrange your songs however you want and the art will always follow.

SOLVED: Album Art missing on most. (also Unknown Artist)

I transferred a bunch of music over using MediaMonkey, but most albums are missing album art. All the folders have a *.alb file, but no album cover shows up when i use the music player.
I have used MP3tag to view my tags, but nothing stands out as bad. 2 albums with all fields filled in, one shows album art, the other doesn't. Out of 20 albums i transferred over, only 4 show album art.
Any ideas?
Thanks
EDIT - other issues include "unknown artist" and it seems to be M4A files (AAC) Only.
I too use mediamonkey and the best way to have album art show for a song is to embed that art directly into the song's file. To do this in mediamonkey, sort by album, then highlight all songs of the same album and right click and press auto-tag from web. It will try to find the album art and you will embed it directly into the song. That way any media player will be able to show the album art.

I have done this and then re-synced. I see the tracks copied over - but still no album art. Very strange.
Solved it - also the unknown artist issue.
If I used MP3Tag and remove all tags, then save the files. Then use MP3tag to add new tags (pulled from Amazon); then save; then copy to phone all is good.
For some reason, Media Monkey is NOT refreshing what it sees, so it is not really copying the retagged files over to the device. Even if do a rescan, it isn't updating. Changing tags in MediaMonkey was not fixing it either.
Also, updating tags in MP3tag was not fixing it - i had to remove, save, add, save.

Stock Music Player Wallpaper

All the songs That I have on my phone has the same background cover for every songs, how do I remove it ALL? I have sense 3.5 on my phone. RcMix v3.1
Most likely you have a picture saved in your music folder. And since your songs do not have an embedded album art for each song it is using that pic for everything. I myself do not use a hidden jpeg pic for album art. I embed each song's tag with an album art when I rip it. If I have to add an album art for each song after being ripped I use dBpoweramp(not free) or MP3Tag(free).
I use droID3Tagger. It's free in the market and will search for and embed album art into the song.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
I will have to check that out fernandezhjr. That may come in real handy.
Edit: DroID3Tagger works well, but only works if the music files are MP3. I also gave another app called Audio Tagger a try and it works well also. Plus it does other formats besides MP3s. Both apps are top notch and will fix up your music library in no time.

[Q] google music app

Hello,
I have a nexus 5 with android 5.01 and google Music version 5.7.1788Q.1634597
i found Music app cannot show the album art of all albums which all has a cover.jpg in the same folder of the music files (flac).
however, i have a xperia sp which has CM11 and same Music version, it can display the all cover art with the same set of folders i put into nexus 5.
anyone has any idea of this problem?
thanks!
Joseph
You can try to change album cover in Windows Media Player and then sync your music.
does anyone else have the problem that some (seemingly) random songs are shown one specific album art image instead of their own?
i dont work with folder, i have every music file tagged with the album art. usually 500x500 pixel. however for some songs android decides to just pick a random album art from another song and show it with them.
