Zeemote JS1 - Using to control mobile device? - General Questions and Answers

I just held a Zeemote JS1 bluetooth controller in my hands (see picture below):

It's a bluetooth device, and as such I connected it to my HTC Raphael / Touch Pro without any problems. But - to my dissappointment - virtually without function, that is. I was hoping to be able to control my device with this controller, appointing function to it's buttons and using the miniature joystick, but that didn't work, at least not without any additional software.
Does anybody know whether there is such a software or driver, or how to get this device working on the raphael?

I send an email to [email protected] yesterday , to know if the will make a windows mobile version of "zeekey" (we need this sort of driver but it is only for symbian 60)
i wait for an answer.

Did already, but - until now - no answer. I hope you'll be more lucky!
;-)

[email protected] answered me. They just return my email without any text.
But the person who answered me send my email to other peoplee from zeemote.

"Hello Adrien-
Thank you for your interest in the Zeemote JS1 controller, and for your suggestion about developing compatible software for Windows Mobile devices. I have passed your suggestion on to our head of software.
Best regards,
Kristin xxxxxxxxxx
"
If we are lucky there will be some driver rapidly.

I was looking for a bluetooth game pad for my phone and ran across and thought that it was awesome. Google'd around and found this thread and I am unhappy to see it doesn't work with the TP
If they respond to you or if anyone finds out when it will work on windows mobile let us know!

there is a driver being developed at the moment over at mymobilegear..so far it seems to work very well in games on my diamond.

Mirror/Flip Screen for Head Up Display

Hello,
does anyone know a software that can mirror my devices screen?
Yesterday evening, I drove around but forgot to take the holder for my PPC with me. So I just put it under the front window. An surprisingly I could read the screen just fine. Just like an Head Up Display. The only was that it was mirrored by the front window. So I wonder about if there is a software that could mirror my screen, so that the image in the window is just fine.
With this, I can have my navigation without having the PPC stick in the holder.
It would be great, if I can map that software to a hardware button, to switch it on after typing in the destination (which would be an bit difficult mirrored)
Can someone help me?
oixio
PS: I hope you understand me. I'm from germany and sometimes I do not find the right words to say what I want.
Yes, i'm also using my ppc for hud a long time ago, but i haven't found a program to do that.
Can anyone help?
Have a look at tchart speed sentry http://www.tchartdev.com/ this has a HUD mode but it doesnt display maps just speed heading etc. I find the double reflections from the automotive glass a major distraction - but see what you think - Mike
Thanks Mike. I'll give it a try.
If you find anything else post it here...

Suggestions: Need a full PDA with thumb Qwerty

I currently have a Hermes. It does everything I need it to do except the slide out keyboard is, almost, completely useless to me. It is very seldom that I take the time to stop driving (if I am) and use both hands to type a reply.
If I have to respond to an email on the go I'll just call the person or wait.
Back when I used a Blackberry, I wouldn't think twice about giving a quick response with one thumb pecking.
I've looked at all the options that I know of and something like the Touch Dual would be great IF it had a full qwerty instead of the multi-key thingie.
The TREO or Q would probably work but I _really_ want/need a full Windows Mobile device. (The TERO or Q may be this and I just don't understand but I think that they use Windows Mobile Smartphone edition).
The HP 6925 (Cingular) would be a good fit if it was current Gen. In fact, there are several fits if you don't mind old, which I do...
Anyway, I would really appreciate knowing if you think there are devices that meet my need. BTW, I use AT&T as my provider but I don't mind switch for the right phone.
TIA

Here is a video and more pictures. ---->> HTC MAGNUM
this looks like a tablet PC i have seen somewhere before, some how they have WM6 running on it.. what a waste downgrading from a real OS to a mobile one LOL..
"i wonder if HTC released the video drivers for it yet?"
It is an hp monitor photoshopped with a screenshot of windows mobile. I have the same monitor.
Quickest way to tell is the first shot the buttons on the bottom. (or top right side of it in the pic)
Kinda reminds me when i made it touchscreen for a day using led's and a wiimote, lmao
Edit: I could be wrong about the photoshop part though.
I like this story, no matter it is a fake or something. The photo that he was talking with the "phone" was so amusing - look at his eyes. lol
This could be done with an I-Mate 8502/9502 or Touch Diamond etc with the video out.
If I'm not mistaken, WM6.1 devices can utilize mice so would it be feasable to connect a touch screen to one too?
Audio could be connected easily to the moitor's built in speakers.
Would be funny to have it in your car.

Reactivity : Android -VS- iOS

Hello, this video shows that Android is two times less reactive than IOS.

Does anyone know if Google plans to correct this?

Don't know, but I can confirm that I have experienced this issue...
All Android devices have this problem, the question is whether Google is working.

Sigh
The GNote is the Android device with worst latency issues in the system itself ive used at release. So to pick the GNote with the firsts builds against the iPhone 4 is one of the few ways to make the iPhone win.
The KAA and KL3 builds dont have this issue (not for me atleast) and are newer builds than what was shipped with the phone at the release.
Done the same thing with my GNote and recorded with the piano app. And i got faster response than the iPhone 4 using the KL3 software on the GNote.
android vs ios on windows mobile forum................ ok.......................
@Alejandrissimo
thank you, I reported the error.
@robertsydbrink
Hello, I do not believe in what you say, the latency problem is inherents in Android. I am also in KKA. How can you defend this? By doing so you encourage the immobility of Google. You can make a video of what you say ?
Go to stores to compare some Android tablets against the iPad 2. The latency is very marked.

Fancy on Android phone with keyboard?

Good afternoon, community!
Some time ago I started to think about mobile devices with full keyboards - but all what I found were tablets like 2 in 1 and they still didn’t looked good enough. I remembered my Nokias 9 series with beautiful S80 on board, what I have used to write course assignment at Uni, to write job applications, etc. By the same time I’ve been working in retail and used to sell this kind of devices - as well as legends like Qtec 9000. People loved it. So, I’ve decided to move forward!
I have created a concept of smartphone in notebook form-factor:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3d model can viewed here https://skfb.ly/RHDK
Inspired by Psion 5 series, so it would have a proper QWERTY, and as Nokia 9 series, it would have 2 screens - inside and outside.
According to concept, it should work on modified version of android with access to linux apps, with factory root access and open boot loader for community ROMs.
I have contacted some ODM factories to get estimation for production, and got some advice on cost reduction, to edit concept - for available mainboard and screens - FHD, because its too expensive to produce specific ones.
So, if there is anyone who is interested in such product - you are very welcome leave your suggestions, ideas and comments!
There is a massive work still to be done before I would go for crowdfunding, so any help would be appreciated!
What type of keyboard would prefferable, laptop type, when screen is on the lid, or sliding out? Or anything else?
