Iphone sim to Unlocked Tilt ERROR!! plse HELP!!! - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

hello,
i have a tilt that i sold to someone that was sim-cid unlocked. they inserted their sim card that came from an Iphone 3g. and the phone kept saying the sim was missing. im not sure why? hard reset, soft reset, but have not flashed back to original rom however. my siim card worked just fine. both are 3g sim cards through att. is there some sort of restrictions for the Iphone sim card? that i dont know about. ide hate to lose the money i got for it for such a simple issue.
thanks,
vince

figured out the problem! the sim wasnt making contact with the prongs in the sim card slot. so i pushed it down a little bit and asked him to put a piece of tape on iT!! and it worked!!!!!! i guess its an old sim card thats been used alot, it will develop depressions in it where the prongs should go, and the TILT sim slot is of poor quality in regards to putting pressure on the sim to make good contact. so the solution, just put a piece of tape, or some paper in the slot behind the sim card to apply pressure on it.
easy!

nevermind hehe

SIM card slot gone bust now new infuse..Any Hopes ??

So i received my new Infuse just today and while removing the SIM card, the two pins out of the three inside, under the housing (just outside i can see 6 pins), has to be broken / bent. It had come out of the housing on the other side (where 6 pins can be seen).
In order to put them back in place, i had to use a tweezer to bend the housing bit up so i can push those 2 pins back in place.
After this inserted my non AT&T SIM card and unlocked the phone. Then removed the SIM card and tried another SIM and it said there is no SIM.
Again i put my old SIM which worked and for that too it said there is no SIM.
I think the damage is done and i am so so angry on myself
Is there absolutely any hope left for me ?
Is this thing repairable ??
The small pin has come out so yes the SIM slot is officially bust now.
What hope do i have ??

Uh Oh... Installing the micro sd and the micro Sim cards

OK... A hiccup I didn't expect. I have my phone turned over and I am looking at the orientation of the cards on the pictures on the back of the phone. I pulled out the little frames and tried putting the Sim card into the frame. Is it supposed to snap into the frame or something? That's what I assumed... I tried laying it UNDER the frame (oriented correctly). It never snapped in. I tried pushing the frame and the loose Sim card in. It wouldn't go and I got nervous. I pulled the frame out and a part of the Sim card plastic has cracked and so now I guess it is a nano sim card? All I know is that it is even too small to fit into my Note 3 anymore. Luckily, TMobile opens soon and is only 2 miles away... I guess I will ask them for more than one sim card to cover if I do this again... Because, of course, now I don't have ANY working phone! PLEASE help me figure out how to install the sdcard and the sim. I am too afraid to force anything... Does the card lay on top of the frame or go under it? Is it supposed to snap into the frame somehow? I am amazed that you all had no problems with this one!!!

The SIM is glued to SD Card. In my case don't work, I don't know why, but is like you see in the pics.

Thanks for that but my problem was simply ridiculous (much simpler than that) that I couldn't get it! I went to the TMobile store and while I was waiting I tried to install the sdcard. It was much brighter in there and my hands weren't shaking from nervousness (lol) and I got it! I had to get a new sim. She was going to charge me $15 for it. I said I thought they were free to customers... Well, I learned something new. That store is not a "corporate" location. It's a franchise! And they charge a lot of money for things "corporate" doesn't! $50 restocking fee for a phone - even if you only had it one day... $15 sim cards... Different things... The girl there ended up giving me the sim card free... So watch out where you are - ask if they are a franchise first. There was not ONE THINK posted in the store that indicated that! Even the girl that worked there agreed that was strange...

Yeah, if you have a NanoSIM you will need to either get a MicroSIM or a SIM card adapter to convert the NanoSIM to a MicroSIM. The Nano SIM goes in the top tray so if you want to use a MicroSD card you have to put the SIM in the bottom tray.
It should come with an easy face up sim on bottom tray, SD card on top tray.

I knew that they went face up and the orientation of both the card and the frame but my hands were shaking so bad I couldn't get the card to comfortably "seat" on the top of the frame so I wondered if they went face up UNDER the frame... Lol... once my hands stopped shaking (and I realized that the card wasn't going to "snap" into the frame) I got it! But not before I cracked the plastic frame around the sim card that made it micro Sim sized... So I got a new card... I won't have that trouble again and I am actually trying to keep the back plastic protector on the phone to keep those invaluable pictures on the back!

Can two SIM cards be used together with the microSD so I would have two phone numbers and also the extra memory? Is the #2 SIM tray meant for both the SIM and the microSD card? OR is it used for either SD or SIM only?

Just curious why have two SIM slots when second one is available only and when you are willing to forgo the ability to add extended memory?

I agree. They should have dual sim slots and a seperate MicroSD slot. Some phones do, this one doesn't.

Safe to use a cutdown SIM card?

I just received my unlocked A9 this afternoon. I had planned to cut down my AT&T SIM from my M7 to fit the A9, but I read in the instructions specifically to *not* do that. Is that really a concern? Do I need to go out and get myself a specific SIM card or can I safely cut down my M7 SIM and use it in the A9?
Thanks,
Craig

I'm always cutting my sim cards when I need to, they ask you not to cut it because you might break it or take off the metal slide by mistake
I don't know about at&t but if it cost a lot to have new sim card try to cut it and if you fail you can buy new one anyway
you can look in amazon for sim cards cutter which will help you to cut it sharply.
I cut the sim cards by scissor when I need

Thanks. I ended up giving it a try (with a SIM cutter). Unfortunately it didn't work. I went to the AT&T store this morning and they took care of me for no cost.

That's too bad it didn't work out. I have an an older cut SIM that I use in mine and it works OK.
I use cut sims all the time, only danger I see is you don't know what you are doing, flake of metal falls off and shorts, jams slot etc. Basically, and I get it, there is more chance for the average user to screw something up, so they don't want you to do it! Not that it wont work.

S7 Edge Dual SIM + SdCard Mod

A genius idea!
Someone found S7E indeed can read Dual SIM with SdCard running at the same time.
So simply peek off the golden part of the SIM and stick it to a SdCard, then put it together with another SIM onto the tray. Magic happens! :good:
Is there any gladiator brave enough to try?
If this works, if definitely will buy a S7E!!!
http://www.noreplied.com/how-to-insert-2-nano-sim-dual-sim-enabled-and-microsd-card-in-samsung-galaxy-s7-edge/
This is an old idea and much popular between Huawei Customers as they always lauch these type of dual sim phones and i also tried it on P8 Lite

Can you tell us More? I'm waiting for my SD card to arrive and do this. I already practised on a broken sim card and I could fit it into my phone and out
It works on my S7E bought in Hong Kong. A bit tight pushing the tray back into the phone as it does add a tiny bit of thickness to the SD card. In fact so snugged that I haven't got the guts to take the tray out again!

Thanks for the feedback. I actually tested a broken SD card and sim card. I used a hand file to smooth the edges and it worked very well. I'm ready to go now.
tested working on S7 Edge Singapore. 1 Main SIM and roaming sim with microsd card.
I wonder if any brave user from this thread tried to eject again the sim tray with the microsd/sim2 mod?
tried it once since i put a wrong sim card on SIM 1. a bit tight, but after it pull out using the sim tray pin, i just pull it carefully. I just remember how my sim tray was stucked on my htc one x because of the microsim i cute with a little thicker than newer sim card. cannot be pushed by the sim tray pin anymore since the button inside is stucked.
I just tried to use 2 SIM card with a brand new evo+ 64gb SD card on my s7 edge dual today, I burned my 2nd SIM card and took out the chip from the sim card, glued the chip on the back of the sd card that I have sanded down. THE RESULT WAS DISASTROUS. I ENDED UP WITH A WRECKED SD CARD AND AN USELESS SIM CARD = 40 bucks down the drain :crying::crying:

why the FFF would you do that? burned the Sim card? you already lost that. Sanded down the SD card? you broke that too.
you should not slim down the SD card AT ALL. the upper layer of the SD card is just a paint on the board.
you should cut out the SiM card carefully and don't damage the small part in the back covered by a drop of glue. then slim down that drop of glue carefully and stop before you hit the small board inside.
then carefully cut the side a little before gluing it to the SD card. then try to smooth out the corners and sides VERY carefully to make sure while pushing in and pulling out it won't stock somewhere.

I found this tutorial video on YouTube and was going through with it step by step. However it suggested to use an sandpapaer for thinning down the sdcard i didnt have that so i used the filer of the back of a nail clipper instead :crying: anyways I don't recommend for folks to try it unless you've got some spares sdcards and SIM cards lying around.

i did this successfully without burning or heating the sim card. what i did is just trim down the side of the sim card until the gold portion remains and until there is a little separation gap is seen from the gold module to the plastic. i removed the plastic part by a very thin cutter on the edges until i can fully pull it out on the plastic. removed the dried glue from the sim chip and taped it on my microsd card.
i didn't use also a glue to do this. I just used a very thin double sided tape. put small portion of tape on 2 sides of the sim only. i didn't put the tape on the middle chip area so that the thickness still minimized.
even though i'm waiting for my 200GB micro SD card, i just told my brother how to do it, and he successfully did it. 128GB SD card and 2 Sim cards are working on his phone now.
the only thing with running dual sim, 1 sim only runs in 2g... not many carriers support 2g anymore.. lolol
it's only for s7 edge dual sim variant, or work fine in single sim also?
i want to do in my g935f

It's not just the sim tray that is different. The electronics inside the phone to read 2 sims are only present in the dual sim versions.
Question though, have people successfully pulled out this modded sim tray without damaging the cards or phone?

Tried it once. because the first time I inserted the modded microsd, i inserted also a wrong sim on sim 1. I have no choice but to pull it out. the microsd didnt and sim tray didnt break. but it is a little more tighter than without the modded microsd card. I think it will depend on the thickness of the microsd and how you glued the sim chip to it. if you glued it too many, it might be a little thicker.
Just be careful not to push the sim tray pin to the hole too hard. it might be stuck and the tray cannot be pulled out anymore. tried it on my htc one x before. I cut a old sim to microsim. since it was an old sim, it is a little thicker than the newer microsim. i pushed the sim tray pin to the hole too hard and it got stuck. good thing i can pull the sim tray by fingernail. but this will not happen on once it will be stucked on s7 as the top portion of the phone is flat and cannot put anything to pull it out.

Sim tray stuck jammed

I had my sim card glued to my sd card so to have 2 sim cards and a sd card all working together on my pocophone. So I wanted to upgrade the sd card and I removed the sim card from the old memory card and glued it on the new one, not considering it was bit thicker. And once I pushed the sim tray in, it won't come out when I tried to push in the sim ejector tool in the hole. Please anyone...can give me any advice on how I can take that sim tray out... Even if it means breaking it, as spare parts are sold around. Much help is appreciated

What is the point of using glue? It's completely unnecessary and isn't a smart idea to begin with.
As for your issue, get something with a sharp point and stick point into whichever card is on top and dig the point in so that it gets a good bite, then use it to drag the cards out.
