Hello,
i use the autolock feature of my raphael, but when the screen is locked, i can change the volume through the hardware buttons?!
Anyone else noticed this? Is there a workaround?
I first thought it might be related to the HTCVolumeOverlay, but i disabled this and it still works
Thanks,
FL

Hello,
Does anyone can recommend how can I lock hardware buttons on the front of my Cingular 8125 while it is locked? Even though that I am using the Device Lock app, the hardware buttons are still active when someone calls to me. As a result when I hear the ring and am rushing to get my phone from the pouch, those “Answer” or “Ignore” buttons getting pressed and the phone answers the incoming call by itself. Is any way to lock these buttons as well?
Regards
Try this

Thank you very much.
I've tried googling all sorts of terms but I still can't fix my problem.
I run Pocketmind PocketMusic as my preferred music player. When I try to go to key mappings, and set one of the hardware keys to turn screen display off, it does the function that's set in the Windows Mobile Buttons panel, which is to go to my Today screen instead of the player commands. Setting that button in the Buttons control panel to <Nothing> doesn't solve this problem . I'm running WM6.
The same key binding worked fine on Conduits PocketPlayer, so I suspect there is another application that is conflicting with it. Any advice would be much appreciated!
heh, Surprisingly I have the exact same issue and it just happened recently for no apparent reason... but regardless I think I have found a resolution, I was running S2U2 and XCPU and I ran iLock from S2U2 and then I did the key lock for XCPU and now it works for some unknown reason.... obscure isnt it?
P.S: Hope it works for you too! If not just remove anything that could affect key locking.
I searched for about 30 minutes before posting this.. in both diamond and touch pro forums and all over here.. I figure this is a common issue, but still found nothing.
Is there any way to lock the touch screen during a call? I keep doing things with my cheek. I've written notes, assigned pictures to contacts, etc.!!! It's getting old. Anyway to fix that???
Press the standby button.
I intsalled the reg edit No_Sleep_Raph this stops the phone going into standby for voicemail or phone banking.
The phone will blank the screen depending on the power settings I have or standbye button.
If I accpet a call I normally press teh answer button and while putting it to my ear press the standby button
That maybe a solution...
I would think they would've done something like the treo phones..
They've got a setting to lock the screen during a phone call until you press a physical button... Or something like that. Worked great.
How difficult it would be to program something like that?
Have you tried this?

I haven't tried that yet. From what I read it seems like it will be good for not answering the phone inside your pocket... I didn't see anything about it locking
during a call... But I may have overlooked that, and I would assume it is one of the settings.
Can anyone confirm whether this program will allow you to lock the screen during a call and allow you to unlock it with a physical button?
Sorry, can't help you with that as it doesn't seem to work with the latest ROMeOS rom but IIRC you had to remove the stylus in order to use the touchscreen.
wrong post, sorry.
Hi,
I have a problem with the hard volume buttons.
When pressed they function as up and down buttons but with a few seconds delay. I want them to control the volume. I have probable installed some program that messed up the phone but can't get it to work the way I want even after many uninstalls...
Finally I found AEBPlus trial and I do not know what I did but the buttons now works. Afer uninstalling AEBPlus the volume buttons do not work anymore.
Does anyone know of a solution to the problem which does not include AEBPlus? Registry?
Edit:
I have a HTC Diamond with Windows Mobile 6.1
ROM: 2.03.413.2.SVE (latest original)
Radio: 1.09.25.23
It seems like it is a custimized taskbar problem...
what's installed on your device?

A lot...
Problem seemes solved.
I read about another guy who had the exact same problem and after blaming g-alarm for a while he came to the conclusion that it was an old htcvolumecontrol.dll that what the root cause. I did an update on my taskbar and now it works.
Hi everyone. Sorry if i posted this in a wrong section, but General seems a right place for it...
I just put my hands onto a used Pharos Traveler 137 today, and it's driving me mad.
From what i remember, the power button should turn off backlight when pressed shortly.
On the Traveler, it invokes a soft-reset.
This happened on both native WM 6.1 and the official update to WM 6.5.
I have even uninstalled all applications in case anything was interfering. Didn't help. I just touch the power button and it reboots immediately.
Is there something i'm overlooking?
Can anyone help me solve the problem?
Maybe the button is mapped to something wrong? Is there, for that matter, an application or a registry tweak that will remap it?
Any help will be much appreciated; thank you all in advance.
Update: i have also found out that even when i lock the device software-wise (Start -> Lock in WM 6.5) and the nifty padlock thingy appears, the power button isn't disabled, it reboots my phone just as well. can i be 100% sure this is a hardware problem or is it still a software bug?
