[Q] SPB Mobile Shell and battery consume ?/ - General Questions and Answers

Hi folks,
Recently owned a new Jade (Touch3g).
Installed Manila 2D (or 3D, anyway, have no idea what the difference is) does not make me happy.
I want to install Spb Mobile Shell. I find it more fancy and functional..
What do you think, if MS may drain battery faster???
Any experience..?/

SPB Mobile Shell on Kaiser

I have one question to the master of xda. When i install SPB Mobile Shell on Kaiser, it look's working very well, very fast and no time to wait when i use it. I don't know but my question is if there are a "generic" 2D driver in. If yes, can i use this drive with windows mobile directly with out using SPB Mobile Shell ???
Though I'm but a humble noob of XDA, I know the smoothness of SPB Mobile Shell has nothing to do with drivers. It's just a matter of how the software and GUI is written. You will see some ROMs are faster than others when it comes to performance (like 2D operations).

Sprint Mogul - MS 3.0 - Battery Life

Hi all, I don't know a lot of english sorry.
I have a Sprint Mogul, WM6.1
I install SPB MOBILE SHELL 3.0 and the battery drain to much. My battery discharge on 10 hours.
what could be?
sorry for my english
i'm not completely certain but it seems that SPB MS 3 uses hardware acceleration and few other features which, if not supported by your GPU, will kill your battery (just like TF3D on QVGA devices).

TG01 powerhouse needs saving from winmo 6.1

Hay all, first time so... be gentle.
So I've just got my grubby mits on the huge and amazing Toshiba TG01, this is the 4.1 inch, snapdragon running competitor to the iphone... I've got it on Orange in the UK (so it's all UK GSM, 3G and HSDPA radios here if it matters for support reasons)
Now the TG01's "stripe" interface looks... well fugly, no two ways about it.
Orange provide their own UI which is inspired by the PS3's I suspect, and it's usable, but does nothing once your deep in winmo 6.1 territory (contact lists etc)
I've tried to get TouchFlo 3D and 2D running on the device (including via throttle launcher) but to no joy....
Does anyone know how This Bugger managed it?
Have any of the truly genius coders here managed it on devices more powerful than HTC's (touchflo2D seem to be other way round) - or can anyone suggest alternative UI's till the winmo 6.5 upgrade roles round?
Cheers!

"That Bugger" used itje's Blackstone cab to get it on the phone. It says so in the video's comments.

The TG01 will get an official WM6.5 upgrade.
I think the WM6.5 interface is pretty good, even without TouchFlo. So my advice is to just wait for the official WM6.5 upgrade, disable all of Toshiba's interface extensions and enable WM6.5 default home plugin (Titanium).
You can also try alternative interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, Throttle Launcher, PoinUI etc. and alternative programs like Kinoma Play, Resco Photo Viewer etc.
Hi all, thanks for the advice, in the end I found PointUI and in turn PointSense which near perfectly reproduces the touchflo interface.
but I agree the winmo6.5 will really improve the phone, I belive toshiba planned to release it with 6.5 but MS's stalling meant that didn't happen.
Cheers again.

SPB MOBILE SHELL VERSION, which is better for wizard?

Hi, I like the SPB MOBILE SHELL for my wizard. However which version of SPB MOBILE SHELL is well suited for our wizard? It should be fast and stable, but with good flexibility. Please share your experience with me on this.

I do not agree with you. I had tryed SBP Shell at wm5. It worked good, but it slow down my booting-time . And: not al SPB apps are bad. I use SPB backup and its the best backup app
3.5 and OverClock to 247
