Hi,
how can I know the memory usage of each of my Today's plugins?
For example I want to know the RAM used by TodayAgenda vs SPBDiary at a given time...
Is there a utlity that will give those values like task managers do for programs?
Thanks in advance...
Mike
some plugins are visible through task manger 2.9...
but not all of them..

Hi all,
I'm continuing my quest to make my HTC (p3600i) exactly as I want it, but have now run into a snag.
I need a finger friendly application launcher (can be a today plugin, or a separate app) that aside from looking decent (some big icons will do, I don't need it to have really good transition effects or anything) is very memory efficient.
My problem is, I have been using SPB Mobile Shell, which has been ok so far, however eventually it uses up too much of my system ram, making it so my GPS (Garmin) cannot load. This is a problem of course, because I bought the phone mainly for it's ability to use Garmin.
Does anyone have any advice on what the better one is?
HTC Touch plugin? Touch Commander? PointUI? UltimateLaunch? What are people's thoughts?
Thanks
I've had a similar problem Morien. I can't seem to find an alternative launcher that doesn't eat up all of my ram. I'll try a few and let you know.
waku task comes with a launcher that uses little ram search for waku task manager

this one dont use much memory

That would be great, keep me posted

Thanks a lot! I'll give them a try.
Search for ultimate launcher, its a great launcher and uses least ram. But it is not free.
Q: If I install SPB Pocket Plus, the default HTC task manager disappears???? Anyway to get this back???? Anyone using pocket plus having this prob?
thx
If I remember SPB right you can turn off the battery meter and task management in options cant you?

What version are you installing?
You don't like the free WkTask Manager which is way better?

Hi!
I've been searching the net for a way to get my tasks on my homescreen, but I'm not able to find a way to do it! I wonder if it's possible to edit the homescreen and add the tasks (only as plain-text, like : 6 undone tasks, and a link to the tasks). Hoping for some help on this!
best regards K
Sliding Panels or classic Home?
classic home! haven't read anything about sliding panels=( (should I?)
I use Oxios tasks plugin (which is free), not sure if it works w/o the Oxios tasks application (which is not free) though when selecting tasks.
works with the built-in tasklist! now i've just got to find out how to put it on my homescreen! thanks man!
Actual I am using on my HD2 Dutty´s Taskmanager to switch between apps, but I am searching for a fingerfriendlier app. I already tested showcase but I think this app slow down my HD2.
So I want to ask you which one do you use/prefer on your HD2. Please give me your feedback.

I couldn't get Dutty's to work for me, so I can't comment on it. I did, however, get the TouchX Taskmanager working, and much prefer that as it's basically the task manager that I was used to from my Diamond & HD.
If you want that, it's in the 1st post of this thread...

That's an excellent thread, full of tweaks and tips.
Thanks for your reply. I have already tested TouchX´s Taskmanager and its the same like Dutty´s. I am searching for more fingerfriendlier app like showcase.

Xtask.. not the prettiest and maybe not the easiest to use at first but it works..
no install..
so you need to:
extract it, run the exes, press the two down arrows on the menu that pops up,
then choose "other" and "settings" and have a play (such as disable take over start menu)
similar style icons to wktask across the top, X button remapping in 6.5.x screen resizing in the same.
And almost as much power as fdc taskmanager.
It's great I love it
ideally set a shortcut to it in startmenu/programs, so you can set it to long press send button.
Another one
Personnaly, I use MobilityFlow Touch Commander (only the task manager) wich is really fingerfriendly.
Hope it helps.

I suggest this one, I think that is the best taskmanager and works perfect on HD2:

This cab happens to be the sony ericson task manager (I'm quite convinced it's the one from the X2), if I am correct ...
Definitely a great task manager, but I think it's pretty similiar to the one from HTC ...
- with (at least it feels like) better performance and more information
- but without the percentage of used ram being shown as in HTC's

Exactly it is the X2 task manager and I think is Great, much better than the one from HTC. It shows: telephone memory (total in use, free), total memory (total in use, free), memory card (total in use, free), sim contacts (total in use, free), sms on sim.
Also shows every working application and you can terminate it

nice tool, but it shows the other ram (here 102mb) and i want see the
other ram (here 42mb)
you know what i mean ? sorry for my bad english ...
What "other ram" are you referring to? Internal memory (as in free space) or RAM as in read-access memory? The virtual memory devices use to help the processor compute?
i mean this ram that the "Advanced Clock Widget Pro" not showing
The "SLW Storage Widget" shows the ram i mean, but the letter are too small !!!
Try "mini info". Shows both rams and battery. Very configurable!
Taskman
try taskman, it is convenient.
If you use Go launcher, you will install Go Task manager, it so cool to see ram and kill apps which you don't want.
