But I accidentally hit "Do Not Show This Again". How do I get it to show again?
You can set it in Start->Settings->Phone->Advanced(tab) and click the "Add new phone number to Contacts at end of call".
I've done that, then I call a random number, and when I hang up it doesn't ask me. I don't let it ring, maybe I'll try that.
Nope, nothing.
Did you try a soft reset? (stylus in the hole on the bottom to the right of the usb port)

Maybe call a new number not in your contacts, have them pick up and then end the call, it might trigger the event. Ask a store how late they're open or something.
if i'm not mistaken, it will only trigger after an incoming call from unknown number ended.
or from phone dialer when u dial numbers that dont hv any matching number pattern in ur contacts list.

There is not an option to edit a number that you have misdial. I think the only way is to save to contacts and edit it there or type it again. I know what you mean, you need to write it down with pen and paper otherewise you forget, also, as you retype you will get a list of possible numbers that could help.
It is a shame that there is not an option for going backwards once you have dial the number, only when you type and have not press the green icon you can go backwards
The more you use your phone the easier you will find your way around
Hi,
When we are making a call from phone dialer, it shows the call history and matches any contacts or previously dialed number.
When i am already in a call, there are two options.
"Keypad" and "End Call"
If i select the "Keypad" option it takes me to the phone dialer, but this time the caller history is not displayed there, its a blank phone dialer.
Is there any way that we make it to display the call history even when we select the "Keypad" option during a call..
I need this, since i use some calling cards to call overseas, so, i need to call a number then enter the pin number and finally the actual phone number..
If the call history is shown there, i can use it to see the actual phone number which i need to call..and easily use it....
now i always need to note-down the numbers and then make a call... or switch between the History Tab and Dialer Tab to get the rite number.
Thanks and sorry for the long story.

OK, I'm not talking about just removing the star next to peoples names. All stars are removed but somehow people I have called or received a call from end up being in my favorites call log. I am not talking about the regular call log, you are able to clear this call log. I'm talking about the favorites call log. It does not have the option to clear it. It only gives the option to delete the contact, which is rediculous because if you do that it actually deletes the contact completely from your contact list. This is really frustrating, please help.

If you're on CM7 there's an option to do so. Just press menu then preferences while you're in Call Log. And the option is somewhere in the middle. Says something like "Hide Frequently Called."

I'm not sure what cm7 is, but I have a stock g2x that is unlocked. However, when I push menu while in call log, it only gives the option to "clear call log".
If anyone can help, that would be great. Thanks.
I saw in the market an app called Clear Frequently Called List or something along those lines. I used it a few times, the only drawback is it doesn't keep the list clear. Once you make a call to someone, the list repopulates itsself. I wish there was an app that would keep it clear (it bothers me too!)
There is an issue while on phone call. The dialpad doesnt have a back button.

Buddy, actually your problem is you are choosing number keypad while calling. This work only in Add call button. Just choose add call & you will find it. It doesn't exist in dialpad while calling.

Nup buddy. you just need to go to Add call then there will be a dialer pad which is same like before. you can edit the dialed number also.
The stock call log on my OnePlus is **completely** terrible, useless trash..
It seems like anywhere I press on an entry in the log, it results in a call instantly being placed to that number. Rather than being given options like "add to contacts" or "view number," etcetera.
Additionally, the call log shows inaccurate, useless information about when the call took place (stuff like, 1 hour ago, or 3 days ago.) Utterly worthless.
Whether this is accomplished through a paid Play Store app, or if there's some way that I can reskin or change settings to make it work the way it should, I don't care. I need a resolution, I'm ready to chuck this thing into the ocean! So infuriating.
Phone is rooted, 64gb model, 11.0-XNPH44S
Thanks in advance!

Dude. You just don't know how to use it. From the main phone app screen press the small clock icon in the bottom left of the screen to access the full call log.

From the call log screen press the square contact icon on the left side of the phone number, this will open a pop-up, from there you can add the contact.

From the call log screen just hit the small clock icon to the right of the phone number and another screen will open showing the exact date/time of the call, whether it was incoming or outbound, and exactly how long it lasted.

Maybe take the time to learn how to use a device properly before badmouthing it and going to throw it away.
