Here is how I easily send all my Mp3s directly to the Storage Card of my HTC Touch Pro using the Mediamonkey application.
1. Connect the phone using active sync (not disk mode). Do this before opening Mediamonkey in order for the application to correctly identify the phone
2. Open Mediamonkey
3. Create a Library of songs in your PC (duh)
4. Use the Mediamonkey to organize/edit/add artwork to your songs.
5. Select any number of songs you need to send to the phone and right click. Select the option “Send to …” and “Storage Card (Synchronize)”
6. Soft reset the phone. This is for the “Music” TF3D application to identify the songs
It worked for me every time. The “Music” TF3D application now shows all songs with artwork and all.
i know this is an old thread, but just wanting to say thanks.
i was trying to get mediamonkey to sync with my tytn ii for ages, and couldn't work out why it wasn't visible.
turned out that i had to sync then open MM.
hoping that someone else out there that uses MM (great proggie) might find this useful too.
thanks again.
Anyone use Overdrive media console to listen to audiobooks downloaded from the library? I have been trying to get it to work on my Touch Pro using Silence's latest rom. Everytime I try and open a .ODM file I get the error "Unable to get the windows media DRM system information (error 0xC00D2764) required to process licenses".
Anyone have any experience with this software either working or not?
x2
I get the same message.
Any help?
Are you getting the message in the OverDrive client or are you trying to open it directly in Windows Media?
Did you download the associated WMA files using the OverDrive client? (When you first grab the ODM it gives you the option to download the whole book or just selected chapters).
It is working for me. I think the first time I played, it downloaded a license file for Windows Media (it appears that is what OverDrive uses on the back-end) so make sure you have an Internet connection the first time you try and play a book.
Cheers.
Same error with Overdrive Media Console
I have downloaded the book to my desktop and transfered the files using the desktop version. My mobile version sees the file but give the drm error. I have tried installing the overdrive media console to both the TP and the SD Micro card as well as transferring the wma to both locth locations. Same error every time. I am using ski rom.
I do not have a data plan but I do have wireless access so if win mo needed to download any update to media player then it should have been able to

I get the error upon processing the ODM in Overdrive Media Console Console 1.0.0 for WinMo. When i checked out my audiobook from our local library, i originally downloaded it to my PC with the PC OD Media Console and had a DRM issue which i fixed by removing my DRM folder and running the security update again. Is there something similar i can do for my WinMo?

Like the above poster, i do not have Cell Service on my device, but i am online via WiFi and have confirmed there are no connectivity issues at the time of opening the ODM.
Any help would be appreciated!
Overdrive Media Console - DRM Error
Hi
I have this same DRM error with Overdrive on my HTC HD2. I've downloaded the DRM's WMA file to Overdrive Media Console on my PC - it works fine there - and transferred it to my HD2. It shows up in the Overdrive client on the HD2 but fials with a DRM error when I try to play it. The file is licensed fir 21 days from my local library and should play on my PC or HD2. Has anybody found out anything more about this problem or got DRM's files to play on their WinMo HTC ? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I am also getting this error on my TP2. I have been narrowing it down by flashing the stock rom and the second release stock rom and it works on both. I tried using the WMP and DRM files from these roms and that doesn't fix the problem. I'll keep hunting in case someone else finds an answer but I think this is an ongoing problem that won't be going away anytime soon.
OK, so I'm currently working on getting this to work on my captivate. Not sure if it will or not, but I am hopeful. I will edit this post with a walk thru if I get it to work. But for now, I will start with two links I found that leads me to think this may be possible.
http://androidforums.com/tips-tricks-droid-x/130945-sync-zune-pass-songs-droid-x.html
http://forum.androidcentral.com/t-captivate/24207-captivate-works-rhapsody-go-downloads.html
BTW, if this has been done before and I am just trying to reinvent the wheel, please point me in the right direction. I couldn't find much about this when searching
OK, so not much of a walkthru other than to say it does work.
First you have to put your phone into media player mode which is done in settings\application\usb Settings
Note: the phone does not seem to like to connect to the PC unless you are at the touchWiz homescreen. I had to clear default settings on Launcher Pro to get back to touchWiz for it to get into its media player mode.
Once you do that it should install drivers and show up as a syncable item in Windows Media Player.
After that, if you have a zune pass and have downloaded music with it in the zune software, it will show up in windows media players library.
I was most interested in syncing the zune channels that update once a week, so I moved those playlists to the phone, pressed sync and it worked.
Now if only I could get the zune playlists to show up in something like media monkey where syncing is a bit easier than with windows media player (my opinion of course).
Basically all it shows is that our captivate(and I'd assume all galaxy s varieties) will play DRM'd WMA files that fall in the realm of the windows plays for sure category. Good to know if you use subscription music through zune or have other uses for that.
This doesn't work with i9010. It says more sync rights are needed.
Unfortunate as I was hopeful after it worked with my N8.
Any thoughts for getting this to work on Armani S?

Any way of getting this to work with CM7.
I guess you need to be able to mount using MTP as opposed to USB storage.
Is that doable?
Sent from my Armani S i9010 (CM7)
The links in OP point to the support of PlayForSure type of DRM which maybe supported if you use Windows Media Player to sync in MTP media player mode. However, Zune pass uses Zune DRM, not PlayForSure DRM. Zune DRM will only work on Microsoft Zune players and WP7 phones. Not to be confused with purchased songs in Zune. Purchased songs no longer have DRM in them.
Now CM7 is another story. I not sure if it even supports PlayForSure DRM at all.
Well I have the Nokia N8 and that can play Zune pass content when transferred via MTP.
So I guess the question is can we enable stock Android to mount as an MTP device?

Any app available that can mount AOSP builds as MTP?

Hi,
Anyone got it working? I've tried many times, it can see the folders and files but when i click on any video files and add to playlist or right click/play, the player would load and just stay that way no video or nothing.
Thanks
Edit: android stock 2.21
This is strange, what are u using to share (ur server), windows (xp or vista or 7)?
or maybe another android phone?
Hi,
I am using my router's usb port with a harddrive attached. I tried using my windows 7 pc to watch the videos everything is fine but not my i9003. Tried to watch a video that is shared via my windows 7 pc on my i9003 doesn't work either, just loading the video and then nothing.
Thanks
I need an app that can reverse sync my files stored in my android to my pc
Little description:
I download music on my phone and store them on my pc. So, my pc and phone have a lot files in common. Now, if I download a new music file and want to store it in my pc I have to manually do that, cause syncing apps sync all files in my phone with pc.
I need an app that will scan my music folder(pc) and then sync only the files that are not present in my pc
Any suggestions?
