HTC Audio Manager Volume Control - General Questions and Answers

My setup:
AT&T Tilt with AT&T stock WM 6.1 firmware
HTC Audio Manager 2.0 Build 1819.2129
30 ohm impedance headphones connected to default audio adapter
HTC Audio Manager doesn't seem to have its own volume control. With the phone at zero volume, it's silent. With the phone at one level up, it's way too loud.
Is there a version of HTC Audio Manager with its own volume control? Is there any third party software that offers more finely grained volume control?

tap the audio icon while you are in the manager and it will come up (the icon in the task bar)
EDIT: You can also use htc audio booster to change the volume level to headphones

The phone volume control will come up, but there is no separate HTC Audio Manager volume control (at least in the version I'm trying).

I just installed it. I can adjust 3D, bass, and treble, but not overall volume.

HTC RC E100 - works fine (confirmation)

Just a short information for all Rose lovers, that would like to use HTC RC E100 - this remote controller with headphones adapter works perfectly with HTC Rose with stock ROM.
Works fine on mine as well ... just one issue with the volume control :
Where the "old" headset had a volume-thing on the side that controlled volume independent from the system volume.
Now , if I use HTC Audio manager , the volume is always way to loud when listening to music , I can't seem to get it low enough.
In Windows Mediaplayer there seems to be an separate volume setting where it's much easier to get a decent sound but HTC Audio Manager works better for me.
Anybody know how to fix this ?

[Q] Inspire 4g headset/microphone adapter?

I have an adapter with microphone that allows any headset to be used for calls and music control, with iPhone. Tried to use it with Inspire 4G and got no sound whatsoever (regular headphones work fine, but of course, no mic or music control then). Pictures of HTC headset with mic show similar 3 ring insert, but something must be slightly different. Has anyone successfully used a microphone headset specifically for Inspire 4G, and/or an adapter that will function with any set of headphones?
I have 1 with an inline mic.
However the sound quality when I plug it in is HORRIBLE compared to just headphones.
Dont know why.
Have tested this with 2 inline mics.
I'm using a Monster iBeats in ear set with my 4G. Sound quality is great for music, very good for phone.
My inline mic will pause music but the volume does not work for music.
For phone calls, I can mute, unmute and answer, but volume control does not work.
This set on my wifes iPhone the volume control works for both music and phone and also allows you to forward itunes tracks.
I just use the volume control on the side of the phone on the Inspire with this headset.

I do not notice any difference in sound quality whether I use the Mic or not.
I'm running Rooted Stock ROM with bloat removed.
There is an app called Headset Button Controller
Just installed it and I can adjust the volume, move forward and back in music tracks and also turn volume up and down with this app installed in media apps.
Interestingly it only uses the center button to do all this on a three button headset.
In phone mode center button ends call. So it does not change anything compared to not running it.
I'll run it and see how I like it, initial impressions are it fixes what doesn't work native with the headset in media mode.

I THINK what is happening is that when I connect my mic it switches from Stereo to Mono. Duno tho.

I have purchased this app and will say that it is great. I use the same headset that I use to use with my ipod but now I find it easier to use. I use my phone while riding the motorcycle and I feel like.I have greater control over the music now..only problem I am having is people can't hear me through the Mic on the headset. Any ideas. No it didn't work before I had the software.

headphones

stock headphones button to control music playback and other features don't work...new device, is there a setting I need to turn on ? sound comes through just fine as well as notifcation and calls however answer button/play pause etc. dont do anything. When headphones connected there is a headphone picture in upper corner that is all. any help?
Make sure the jack is plugged all the way in and the headphones icon has a microphone. There are two headphones modes, one with the icon just showing the headphones, in which the play/call button does not work, and one with the icon showing the headphones as well as an attached microphone, in which the call/play button is enabled.

[MM roms] Big problems with bluetooth headset (LG HBS-730) low quality

Hello,
i have one big issue that prevents me from fully enjoing marshmellow roms ,the bluetooth audio.
I have a bluetooth headset from lg hbs-730 an they work just fine with every android (this year i changed like 15 handset) and NEVER had any problem, they just works.
BUT they dont work on a oneplus with mm rom and i can't understand why.
the headset connect via bluetooth with no issue and audio comes out fine at first, but when you get heavy bass or just a lot of instruments in the song the audio lose quality and noise ramp up.
do you know why?it is fixable?
the only hint i have its that the audio control on kk,lp roms are different ,so when i push the up and down volume buttons on the phone the bluetooth audio of the phone is managed, but when i press the volume buttons on the headset it manages its OWN volume.
This doesnt happen in MM roms, when you push the volume button of the headset ord the phone its the same volume bar which is managed.

HTC U11 bluetooth volume link ?

Hi !
Is it possible to link the Bluetooth volume on the HTC U11 ? I'm not sure that's the proper name of this feature but I mean to have the name volume level on the Bluetooth speaker (in my case headphone) and the phone. If I change the volume with the headphone's buttons, it change on the phone.
Thanks for your help
I understand what you mean but the phone can only control its own volume. It would be down to the speaker developer to integrate it, most likely it would be via a specific app.
You can always leave the speaker at it's highest or at the highest you would want it to be and just adjust the volume of the Bluetooth at your end (on the phone).

Thanks for your reply !
I know it is possible : Samsung propose it with Samsung experience.
I can do it with my iPad too, with the same headphones.
It is called "Media Volume sync"
https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS8/comments/66l8id/you_can_finally_control_the_media_volume_from_a/
I read that it was a feature in Android stock since 6.0 so I'm surprised not to find it with Oreo on the HTC which is almost stock:

Thanks again
Um don't we have that already? Separate volume for speaker and Media audio.

Yeah but what I would like is to not have a volume level on my speaker and one on my phone. If I change the volume with my headphone's button, it changes what you show here (the volume with the Bluetooth icon). A unified for phone and speaker, like iOS does.
thanks
