Hi guys,
My Polaris has the original WM6.1 from the HTC site. The problem is, when I install iGo 8, I have no sound in phone calls, I can't hear the calling person, and the other person can't hear me. If I hard reset, reinstall the ROM, it's all good.
Anyone else having similar problems? Maybe some fix? I've searched all over the forum, came up with nothing.
Thanks for help.
I have tested a lot of iGO8 versions, and none has caused sound loss... weird.
I'm seriously considering downgrading to the original 6.0 WM. I wonder if iGo 8 will run on it without the above mentioned problems.
Read this thread first before you make downgrading decision. Pages prior to #13 are not important for that decision:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411883&page=13
Already downgraded, synced, installed iGo 2006 Plus. Results? Everything works like a charm. So far...
Anyway, thanks for the input, also for the link, it was helpful.
Probably I'll get back to to this post after some more trial and error tests.

Sorry, if this doesn't belong in its own topic, place it where it needs be i guess, but I am wondering if there is a fix for the TNT cube for the contacts side. MY quick dial on HTC Home works fine, but nothing shows up on the contacts side of the cube except dead buttons and a bunch of sillhouettes.
HTC Tmobile MDA G3 with TNT.19213_Professional_Wizard and TNT_Cube__TNT.1933_1620_and_later_
any help or suggestions? Other than that, this is my first ROM and I like my MDA again thanks to TNT. Awesome ROM.
first off, i am not a proponent of bumping one's own topic but... here i go. is there a version of the cube that works with TNT and the contacts page works? I have read elsewhere that people have this same problem. Do I need to reflash, is it a bug? Pleas advise.
got the same issue...
doesnt look like there is a fix available. probably have to wait till someone fixes it
Guys,
I need your help. My HTC Touch HD cannot initiate the TouchFlo (3D), and I cannot view it the way it should be at all. I don't know what happened but it just doe sthe following when you restart it:
It will go to the TouchFlo (3D) Page and the message saying "Tap Here to Launch TouchFlo (3D)
I tap and it keeps saying Launching TouchFlo (3D) but it never does that
I can access the mobile from the Start Menu but I want my Touch HD Back to the way it was before.
Anybody has any suggestions please post them or email me at: [email protected]
thank you guys

Save PIM data (ex with PimBackUp or similar) then make an HardReset: HD off, Hold VolUp+VolDown then one click on PowerOn Botton.
D'rath
PS: The process erases all your data but solve the SW problems
Wait, hard reset is the last solution!
Have you installed an application or any graphics drivers? New rom?
If so then you could try to uninstall it and see if the problem is solved!
Sometimes I had this when installing bad drivers.
You could try to install these drivers. (at least before doing a hard reset)
helio is correct,
HR is the last resort (although it will of course fix the problem) as you wont understand what has caused the underlying problem, you will then install the same software/apps and end up with the same issue.
Look at what you have have installed recently, or changed manila files. An incorrect change if playing with a manila file will cause touchflo not to start.
Thanks Guys for your Comments and Recommendations, I really appreciate that,
I need to know how to Backup the PIM Data. I found a file with pim next to it and I already saved it on the Storage Card. Is there any other PIM File(s)? I also listened to you onnot doing the Hard Reset, and removed every software I have doubt about or had installed recently. But the problem still presists, TouchFlo (3D) Cannot launch. Help and thanks again.
Use this app, zip below, to back up your data (emails, contacts etc). The app is simple to use. Word of warning if you use Exchange to sync email and contacts, be CAREFUL....restoring your contacts and then syncing will duplicate all your contact entries (i know because i did it and ended up with 2000 contacts!!!)
You dont say what you had installed, just that you had removed them. Purely unistalling may not fix the issue if a registry change has not reversed.
Have you been playing with any manila files, or deleting anything you shouldnt be? Have you been playing with the registry?
If you really cant analize what you have done and without much more info, you have to decide if the HR is the only available option to you (ie you want the quick fix).
Dear Timmymarsh,
thank you for all you've done for me, I really appreciate that. I am sorry I did not mention what I did. What I have done is try a new ROM, I think it Was WWE but which one I don't remember. I downloaded a bunch of files from this site, thinking they would work without testing them first. But they did not turn out to be what I was looking for. I downloaded the Choco Clock, Sygic GPS, and others from the Manila....and other developers but when I unzipped and installed them they did not work for some reason. So I just deleted them, the thing is I know I should have uninstalled them first. But for some reason I just can't even find the files created by these add-ons or applications. No, I did not touch the registry at all. I am not a Software Man, obviously you guys are amazing in this stuff, I am more into infrastructure if you have any uestions about Wireless Network or Physical Security let me know. I am trying to learn more about this Mobile and want to be able to utilize it to the fullest. Thank you again. For this time I think I am going with the HR so I can erase everything that I downloaded and did not setup Properly, then I am going to install only trusted add-ons and softwares. thanks.
No probs my friend, its what we are here for yes
As for what you have done, its always best to uninstall first, just deleting causing reg problems hence the issues you are now facing. I would say on this occasion HR is your best bet. Best bit of advise i can give you is, install one app/software, test and if there are no compatability issues then add another, if there is then at least you know to safely remove by unistalling that app.
Have fun, the HD is a brilliant bit of kit and can be expanded/modded vastly

JP this is a little off topic, but have you followed the many good guides in the blackstone forum and where are you running the ruu from, make sure its on the root drive not in many folders. You using XP?
PM me please once you have read this and i will delete this post to keep thread clean.
Hey,
I have my td2 now since july and am really sad about how they changed windows mobile. I first had the p3300 aka orbit and was so happy about it until I had some soft/hardware issues.
SOLVED
Now with the fancy new td2 I just can t get TCPMP to work or well it worked once with the 0.81 rc i think but not really good.
I searched now for days to find something but mostly useing my td2 and that got pretty annoying.
I am really tired of trying and searching so if anyone could help me with an easy solution then i would be thankful also because I have so what no idea about registry or such.
Also i found this nice Program W.V.D. which makes me want to have a working tcpmp even more or can I use any other mediaplayer and if yes, which one?
And one question to skyfire...
Does it just rendomly suport flash on pages i can just sometimes not get it to work at all and sometimes it runs just fine even though skyfire is really blurry but I read that we can not really do much about that yet.
my td2 is running on the original german xda diamond2 rom and I am just waiting for O2 to finally release the 6.5. Is that usefull or should i just take any cookedrom? If, which one is great? Or anyone any Idea when =2de releases the 6.5?
Also can someone tell me what the different blinking signals mean on the td2 because in the manual of the p3300 were they explained but with the td2 was not much information with.
Also i would be really happy to hear what kind of programs are essential for the td2 which programs do we need.
Thank you very much in advance
Mario
What I already tried:
TCPMP 0,72
TCPMP 0,81
Flashvideobundle.cab
h264.cab
TCPMP MAster codec pack2.cab und .zip
and all i get is the crash.txt or full startup but no loading of video file
Would be really nice if anyone can give me help i searched a lot now and i just don t have the will power to continue to read 50 threads with each about 40pages and maybe one useful hint.
Also tried to find a wiki but i guess i m to stupid for that
so long

TCPMP:
what do you think about the attached one ?
nota: u have to change in options/video: check Raw FrameBuffer
hopping it will works as well as it does for me
hey,
yes with this i at least manage to see mp4but flash and wvd still don't work... but hey anyway thank you very much for this mate
Okey I got WVD to work.
I used:
TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-wm61-recomp-03.CAB
Video set to Raw FrameBuffer
And FlashVideoBundle.CAB
Now it works just fine both files are attached
(edit: Upload for the player does not work i don t know why)
I've installed TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-wm61-recomp-03.CAB and the
application freezes.
I can't even get to settings.
I have also installed CorePlayer.
Is there any conflict between the two or TCPMP simply doens;t work on TD2.
hey sorry didn t see this ...
there shouldn t be a conflict especially if you have one running at a time.
Tcpmp works just fine on several td2 also on mine now.
Download he tcpmp which is attacht here and set this to Raw FrameBuffer
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OTHER BUTTONS BEFOR THE OPTIONS MENU not play not anything
best reinstall it and then directly to "options"
That TCPMP works but the video quality is bad as hell.
i don t have any problems with that at all
pfft installed any version prior and other than TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-wm61-recomp-03.CAB. none work. get a direct crash.txt.
when trying the one mentioned above it will only read the audio codec i put in the windows folder, but not the video codec.....anyone?>
Hi,
Had the device less than a day and loving it.
I'm finding Pocket Scrobbler can't detect track information from the HTC Music Player. I've messaged the softwares developer, but in the meantime I was wondering whether anyone had managed to get it working, or if people have a good alternative?
Regarding Fring, I tried the installation via SMS, it gave me a generic WinMo installation. It appears to install fine, but then when you select the Fring icon to open the program nothing happens. Installed a couple of times, restarted phone, but no joy with either of those simple fixes. Again, suggestions or alternatives?

As far as I know, current fring versions doesn't work with wm6.5.
The last rom I have used fringe was Roms based on wm6.1.

Ah, I see. Thanks for that.
Anyone know of other programs that amalgamate your IM/VoIP accounts for WinMo 6.5?
I have been using nimbuzz and it seems to work fine..

I am a Fring fan as well and I have written in Fring forums about the nature of the problem during my HD time (running Leo ROMs) the problem occurs only when the HTC Message is running.
So a temp fix is disabling HTC Sense from Today and enjoy Fring..
I hope the guys at Fring find a work around solution for this.
Thanks for the suggestion of Nimbuzz, I installed it a few hours before reading your post
Hi -- I just downloaded the new version of Bing. I'm running it on an HTC Sedna with Windows Mobile 6.1. It _seems_ to work fine on my phone. Fine except for the fact that within a minute or two I get a message which says "Your device has been identified as not supported for this application," after which Bing shuts down. Any ideas on how to get around this? This software is supposed to work with WM 6.1 phones and it seems to do so until Microsoft pulls the plug!
Thanks, Alan
Are you using a cooked ROM?
I suggest you to install it on a emulator and see what happens
Thanks -- no, I'm using the standard HTC ROM. (I don't even think there ARE any cooked ROMS for this phone!)
I've never dealt with an emulator, so I don't immediately know how to do what you're suggesting, nor do I have a sense of how time consuming that would be. But would it be worthwhile to go down that road? If Bing worked on the emulator, how would that help me figure out how to make it work on my phone?
I wonder if there's a way to tell Bing that I've got a different kind of phone. I suspect that would fix this. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks!
Alan
Ok, but you can share where you got the installation file(just to do a test here).
Thanks.
Yes -- I got it from here:
http://static.appserver.m.bing.net/binaries/winmo/v1/Bing.CAB
I was running the previous version of Bing, and the program sent me to this link to get the updated version (which then gives me errors about my phone not being supported).
Thanks, Alan
Thanks very much, I'm going to test it.
Wait some time...
That's terrific! Thanks so much!

Bing...
Works OK on Diamond 1 with stock 6.1 ROM. Not sure if I like it or not..
Right -- I know it works on other WM 6.1 phones. I'm wondering how to run it on mine. I suspect the solution is to make Bing think I'm using a Diamond or some other phone it knows it's compatible with. Anyone know how to do this? What does it use to figure out what sort of phone I have?
Thanks, Alan
It's working on my emulator.
Have you already tried another version?
I don't really understand what you're asking ... I've run this program on two different (stock WM 6.1) HTC P6500s with the same result: it works fine a little while, then I get a message that I'm not using a supported device and the software shuts down. I don't know how running this on an emulator would help me fix the problem. I know that the software works fine on Diamonds, Touch Pro2, Diamond 2, and other officially-supported WM 6.1 phones. And I know that the software detects my P6500 as not supported and therefore will stop working after a while.
SO: the question is how to get Bing to believe I'm using a phone that it considers supported? I've tried replacing P6500 with T5353 (Touch Diamond 2) in a couple of places in the registry:
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ActiveSync\DeviceModel
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform
But it doesn't seem to make a difference ....
Does anyone have any other ideas about how I might fix this?
Thanks,
Alan
I think that change these registrys:
Code:
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ActiveSync\ DeviceModel
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform
Isn't a very good thing, because this can turn your device unstable.
PS: I'm going to Google for some solution.
I need one thing to solve your problem as fast as I can. It's the error code.
Thanks.
Thanks so much ... Yeah, I didn't leave those registry changes on long: just a quick experiment.
OK, forgive my ignorance, but how can I find out the error code to tell you?
Thank you!
Alan
Error in images, this is after being cooked in, works for a few min but than get a compatibility error and shuts down
Interesting -- that's a different error than the one I get, though mine generally comes up around the same time. Mine says "Your device has been identified as not supported for this application."
How do we find error codes for these?
Alan
It seems they have the same root, this has been cooked in I was hoping to go "around" the not supportive error that you get with the cab file.
Since I took it out of my build I think the best way will be to run it cooked in an emulator to get it.
Huh, interesting...
I'm going to take a better look on this.
