Hi everyone,
I just read this at wmpoweruser.com and this thread here.
Now, my question is: When one goes out and wants to buy a new PPC, why should he/she buy a HTC device ?
A friend of mine really likes the Touch HD and after reading this review it also sounds like a good deal.
But when comparing iPhone, Diamond, HD and Touch Cruise - OMG...
I read that the Omnia´s performance is quite good. But what I (and my friend as well) HATE is the screen which isn´t flat like the Touch series or other. This does also apply to the Xperia.
So, what to do ? What about a driver project like for the Kaiser ? Or is there any other good device you can honestly recommend me ?
regards,
Martin

Hello all,
I am new to PDA's, and I know this may be a stupid question or one that is obvious to the regular users, but I have the offer of the 2 for the same price, and am not sure which to take?
So it comes down to which is best. Is it a matter of which you prefer or is there a hands down best PDA out of these 2.
Edit that should be Hermes or Universal....
Many thanks.....
I was a bit undecided whether i wanted this model as well but it just looks great! I saw a video and some live photos for the O2 XDA Trion and I dont really care how well it works when it looks that good :->
I got the Universal, I picked up one cheap and it is great condition. Thought it was bulky, and the phone is not too good. My friend had a Hermes and he has passed it on to me for doing a job for him. Anyway after using the Hermes for a day or 2, I think the Universal is better overall. The Hermes is great, it is compact ,does everything well. But the Universal is such a good PDA.
Which one to keep? Hmmmmm..
Hello,
I need some advices, to make the best choice between :
- IPhone 2 3G
- HTC Diamond
- Samsung Omnia
Thanks
I'd go with the Diamond if you wanna customize, tweak and mod or the iPhone if you want something simple realiable [citation needed]. I love the third party support WinMo has.
I would say the Touch Pro / Raphael! Go to the Raphael or Diamond section of this forum for a lot of information on them...
Why HTC Touch Pro is not on the poll?
I´m sure touch pro would win!, anyway my vot goes for Diamond.
And I´ll never think in buying an Iphone never!
Read here why: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=314455
Cheers
Hi everyone,
First post here - just got a Touch Pro and its my first dip into the waters of WinMo. I've got loads of experience in the Symbian OS realm, looking forward to becoming a power-user in the WinMo environment too. No doubt I will need loads of help on the way there, but it looks like I've found the right place to get that help.
Quick question though - looking at the Wiki I see mention of known clones - whats that about? For example, is the T7272 exactly the same as the HTC Touch Pro above it?
Hello there, I'm planning to replace my HTC Universal after great 3 years of working! and I'm still pleased with it to be honest!
My new PPC should has a keyboard, so my question is simple! is the HTC Raphael the good choice to go with?
I know there is the SE X1 as another choice, but I think I liked the HTC more
What do you think?
so guyz...no replys at all?
I really like my Raphael and as far as i worked with it, i had no problems and would recommend it.
There are (of course) some bugs, but they can be fixed with progs out of this forum. So if u are not afraid of spending some time in setting up ur raphael this could be ur new favourite.
The keyboard is pretty good (for my opinion), the buttons are small, but i don't have a problem hitting the right one, even though i got thicker fingers.
If u have some specific questions just ask, i'll see if i can answer.
hi there
having used the universal and then using a hermes as a day-to-day device and now the raphael i can only say that im glad i bought one!
the size of the device is simply astonishing for what has been crammed into it
what do you primarily use your device for?
the universal is a well seasoned device with much support and it appears the raphael is heading that way too!
Thanx guyz,
No problem at all with spending time fixing bugz cause really I like these stuff and I enjoy searching and fixing...that's what kept me from replacing my Universal
good to hear that about the keyboard, cause I really need it and I think by time I should be used to it...
yup, the size is a great thing compared to the huge universal for sure I'm now a medical resident...so I will use it to have some books around me all the time beside its internet & phone cababilities...
there is nothin specific now in my mind to ask, but I got a positive impression in general and I think I'm gonna buy it soon
I'll get back to you!
Hi all, I come here to seek for your valuable knowledge... I'm kind of in the middle of a dilemna here. I want to upgrade from my HTC Touch Diamond, which I love of course, but seems like a VGA screen isn't an option anymore, and the Ram as well as that processor are getting to old and to small for my needs.
So I've been longing for the Touch Pro 2 for about , well, since it was anounced back in february, but then, the Touch HD2 aka Leo showed up, which, IMHO, spec-wise is the phone I want inside the Touch Pro 2... 4.3" is too big for my pocket...
Plus, we're approaching October 6th, so WinMo 6.5 is just around the corner, and I my guts tells me that the Leo is the first of many devices with those specs...
So, basically, here is my question:
Drop off 600 euros for a cellphone whom form-factor I love, with basically the same specs as my Touch Diamond, or wait a couple more months to see what's coming up?
If you can wait a few months, great devices will be announced I´m sure.
if you are in a rush for a good device go for TP2 definitely.
Thank you Orb, I think that's what I will do.
Worst case scenario, I end up bying the TP2 for christmas
If there are more opinions, please feel free to enlighten me!

Seconded. My advice is to wait.
I hope Htc will anounce something else than the Leo tomorrow...
HTC with Keyboard!!
Sure they will.
Let Leo be in the main spot for some weeks more and then another device will displace Leo to 2nd position...
Hopefully this time with a hardware keyboard!!

That would be the best news ever! Leo with a keyboard would be as close to my dream device as possible.
I still need a d-pad, but I might be able to overlook it lol.
Please, please, please, HTC, surprise us with a Touch Pro 2 with all the Leo internals!
