well we shouldn't talk about getting around DRM, but you can always burn CDs of the music you purchased. i personally rip music CDs that i bought into MP3s... sometimes i'll burn a copy to a fake cd drive and then rerip it so i dont use up a cd to import the songs i think theres even an automated way to do this.
i haven't started syncing music on my fuze since i have a 5g ipod, but i was curious about doing it... i just wish it had a real headset adapter im guessing that windows media player can sync up? i'll probably do the manual method, but i'd like to find out about playlists etc... just havent messed with it yet.

Is there ANY other program you can use to sync songs to a TP besides WMP? I've been using WMP, but it keeps on making random duplicates of all my songs, and it's REALLY annoying.
I would greatly appreciate any advice.
Oh and I don't want to just drag+drop, I would like some sort of program.
Thanks.
i agree i moved from a iphone and i got to say its annoying, the way windows mobile phones organize music, and when i use windows media player mobile to update my library it seaches the entire device and grabs even system sounds.
Hmm, I just put my microsd card into my computer and dump all the music I want to listen to (mp3, flak, ogg, what ever) into the music folder to play with the built in player / core player.

How is drag and drop ANY more difficult than a program?

Well at least with WMP I can see my music in a "library" setup, as opposed to just opening my music folder which has thousands upon thousands of subfolders. It's just much easier for me (at least the way my music folder is setup) to use a program such as WMP.... but WMP sucks. That is why I am asking for an alternative to WMP.

Thats exactly what I do and it works like a charm. It is easier than using a program in my opinion. Are you doing something wrong? is it giving you trouble moving the files to the microSD card?
When I start Winamp and have my phone plugged in, it detects it and asks if I want to use it to manage my music on the phone. Winamp has a great name out there, maybe it oculd be useful.
I also used Yahoo Music Engine at once point and that worked great, like itunes. I think that whole deal is still around too, albeit Yahoo music has changed a bit, the app was called Yahoo Music Engine.
I have not tried sync with WM11. There must be a simple option or something you are missing. Perhaps it has to do with Media Player on WM6 and the library function. If you scan the device and organize the library to ignore your Windows folder then it probably won't be a problem on the WM11 side.
Does that make any sense?
WM11 is simple drag and drop; the problem is that when it loads music onto your Phone/SD card it puts it into the file structure Artist/Album/Track based off id3 tags. So if your music is improperly tagged or if you have more than one copy of a song like an album and a compilation album you'll end up with duplicates.
Personally I just wipe out the Music folder on my SD card every 2 weeks or so and dump a new playlist onto it. You can use the WMP sort function in the playlist to eliminate any duplicates before you copy them over. You can still add to the card later and it won't reinstall the same file so long as it's not a duplicate on your desktop like I mentioned above.
As for getting rid of ringtones showing up in your library on your phone I use Pocket Player for my MP3 player and it has an "Exclude Directory" option on it so it will only update from the SD card music folder.
Did Wm4 or CE or whatever handle music?
So that whole development time while WM5 was on market and ipod appeared, was MS just sitting there saying, "Well these are business devices let's focus on getting four Excel cells to show up on this ****tay 320x240 screen instead"
Great.
And the even funier part is the new Blackberry virtualization occurring over WM6. If they were so good at business apps then why is this occurring, HELP ME UNDERSTAND hahahhaha
This was all tongue in cheek utterance from a bewildered fan of MS and their spastic roll outs!!!!!
I've recently bought a Sansa Clip+ for when (if?) I get myself back in the gym. It sync's through Windows Media Player, so I set up playlists with WMP and it then moves all the necessary music over for me.
I was then thinking it's not a bad way to organise myself. Can this be implemented on my Nexus One and the playlists are read by TuneWiki?
I assume I can set it up as a mobile device (sorry, the thoughts just hit me and I've not really done any fiddling) easy enough? Anyone done this before?
Anybody know of a way to play my zune pass music onto my phone? I love my Zune HD, but it can be an inconvinence to carry it around when my phone can already play music.
Depends on the music. If some songs are protected like DRM files, then no. But if you have songs that you know aren't, just drag and drop the songs you want into your SD card.

I used to have the Zune pass and Zune HD. I gave the Zune HD to my gf, and ripped the DRM from all my Zune pass music using Tunebite (search torrents for it), and uploaded it to Google Music (I'll send you an invite if you want). This was a great solution, but it was time consuming to rip and upload my whole library to Google Music. Then every time I downloaded a new album, I'd have to rip it and upload it to the Google Music servers..gets annoying after a while.
So, I just got Spotify. It's only $10 a month and streams all the music you want to your phone. I have an unlimited data plan, so if you're on a newer plan and listen to a lot of music this might not work for you.
Push comes to shove, just use Tunebite to rip the DRM from your Zune music files and then drag and drop them onto your phone.

Awesome!
And greetings fellow Zune HD users!
Anyone know the best way to sync my nexus with iTunes? I've tried double twist and I don't like it as much.
I don't use iTunes, but I hear iSyncr is pretty good.
How dare you mention that program here jus kiddin' ... i dunno never tried it
Winamp should do the trick.
On your PC:
Get the Google Music Manager program (.exe) from Google
Install it to your Windows PC
Set it up and select the option that allows Google Music to sync automatically from itunes.
On your phone:
Download Google Music app and select your gmail account.
After initial sync is finished everything in your itunes will be in the Google Music app.
They will stay synced after that.
I use iTunes agent. It does the trick.
If I use google music I won't have any issues with some of my songs not being on my phone or not being able to play if I'm not in a good data spot will I? I did some research it looks like its a good way to go about I don't have a good media library I didn't wanna sacrific all my phones memory to all music but if I had to I am willing to.
I use isyncr and it works really well it cost a few dollars but good investment and the wifi plugin is a big plus
Just saying Amazon is usually cheaper than the for-mentioned excel spreadsheet music store

If you are on a mac try this one Easy Phone Tunes
Just create a playlist with the music you want to sync, open app, sync DONE
I use iSyncr, tried a few others and once in a while album pictures or info didn't come out the same way they were on iTunes. Gets the job done for me.
Open itunes. Copy all music and drop in music folder on phone.

Does isyncr refresh playlists and remove songs that are not in iTunes library. I hav dragged and dropped in all honesty I like having the playlists from iTunes to I think I'm stuck between Winamp or isyncr.

yea you can set it to delete songs not in the playlist and the playlists do refresh
Right on theres what I've been looking for then. I was excited about google music but it was taking forever to upload my library of only 1535 songs and it'd probably take longer to be on my phone. And I was thinking since its cloud where I don't hav data or lose data the music won't play or it will buffer. That's just what I think anyway
oops double post my bad
try double twist, I use google music and just sync mine to the cloud using Itunes but if you are really apposed to Itunes thats a really good alternative
Im having a same trouble, but my problem is with all the syn with itunes.
The window says its syncronized but if i look in the phone i dont have nothing :S.
Sorry for my bad english.
Use google music. It' s hastle free. You have access to your library, as long as, you have a signal, or you can make songs available off line.

I've had a look on google, and can't see anything that will let me pay my itunes podcasts streamed onto my phone. I have a bunch of podcasts that go to itunes on my pc, but my ipod is dying, It would be handy to be able to stream across the content, like I can with other files , anyone know of anything that lets me play itunes podcasts remotely?
The google search I did, shows a lot of software that doesn't seem to exist anymore.
Try doubleTwist. Its import all your iTunes library and organize it in your phone in a great way.
