Touch Pro touchflo 3d theme/skins? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I just purchased a new ATT Fuze (HTC Touch Pro GSM) US model. I also have a Sprint Touch Pro from work.
I would like to know if I can put the Sprint touchflo3d skins on the fuze?
-flipsoft

You can install the sprint TF3D theme onto your fuze. First you'll need a program called TF3D config, which you can find on this board with a quick search. The theme can be found on a thread who's name escapes me, but if you google search "TF3D the collection", it should be the first thing that pops up. I'm pretty sure that you need some type of plugin or fix for the landscape mode to work, unless they already fixed that.
Hope that helps

Need S2U2 and HTC Home Plugin

I am purchasing an AT&T Tilt, but would like to utlilize the Touch Flo such as is used in the Touch Dual. With that in mind I am considering:
1) Purchasing the "Touch Commander" third party software
2) I need a good download of the S2U2 (customizable slide locking feature)
3) I need a good download of the HTC Home Plugin
4) I need a good download of the HTC Audio Center
5) I need a good download of the HTC Album
Two HTC techs told me this would give me what I need to make my AT&T Tilt function with the Touch Flo/Touch Cube pretty much like the Touch Dual.
Therefore, could anyone provide me with a GOOD link to be able to download:
1) S2U2 (customizable slide locking feature)
2) HTC Home Plugin
3) HTC Audio Center
4) HTC Album
Thanks so much. I am a novice at this so please be kind...
P.S. The HTC techs told me NOT to download and change the ROM on the AT&T Tilt because of warranty issues.

1.) S2U2 v0.86
2.) HTC Home Plugin
3.) HTC Audio Manager & HTC Audio Today Plugin This will allow you a quick link on your today screen to the HTC Audio Manager.
Installing these programs will not void your warranty.

All nice apps, but this will NOT enable TouchFlo, or Cube!
Of course at AT&T they tell you, you should not flash another ROM.
They have to say that. However, flashing a Cooked ROM is by far the easiest way to make the Cube available. There are some ROMs that have this build-in.
BTW, SEARCH this forum, and you will know a lot more about HardSPL, flashing ROMs etc.
Touch Flo and Cube are definitely things I want to achieve with my Tilt, but now FOUR different techs at HTC (not AT&T) stressed that I do not update the ROM, but rather install 3rd party software like Touch Commander, then install S2U2, HTC Home Plugin, HTC Home Customizer, and HTC Audio Centerl. Now I am a bit confused because I know you all know what you are doing, but there are now two different scenarios: one that says install 3rd party programs without changing ROM, and the other that says install a new ROM (which I am afraid I might really mess up).
I have to be honest, I would rather go the way of the Touch Commander and the above listed apps, rather than replacing the ROM, especially because of my lack of knowledge and probably voiding the warranty (which they of course stressed), but I do want it to work also. Which way to go?
BTW, if replacing the ROM is better, is there just ONE easy install available with a good downloadable link (i.e., not just check the forum for it) and instructions specifically for the AT&T Tilt?
Or, is the 3rd party apps and Touch Commander going to work?
Thanks.
PS. I don't have the time to educate myself too much through the forum only because I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old who are just a little bit of a handful right now...
Thanks again.

There are cabs that will install the touchflo cube but they don't work that great. I would avoid it all together for this phone, which does have touchflo scrolling. Also, flashing a rom is easy but risky. You install hardspl and verify that it was done b/c it's important. Then flash your rom (both procedures need activesync BTW). If the flash fails you have maybe a 50/50 chance of having a non-returnable paperweight.
Touch commander is ok, but unnecessary if you're going to use htc home. I mean it looks cool, but it's just eye candy.
A lot of people just hard reset their phone (soft reset with both left & right softkeys pressed) and cancel the at&t bloatware by soft resetting (press stylus in the hole in the bottom) before it installs. I have the xda live 1.2 rom.
hope this helps
Is it just me?
Now, I'm no noobie. I've done this dance with the Wizard and Hermes. But, I'm no expert either. I just got my Tilt tonight and promptly slapped some HardSPL on it and am trying the various cooked ROMs.
I have a question, though. How can I get HTC Home on my device? I have d/l'ed and attempted to put the files in this thread on my device, but there's no clock and weather and such after a reboot - just the same little set of icons which come with the device (known in the Today settings tab as "HTCHomeplug".
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance,
J

The 'HTCHomePlug' entry is *not* the HTC Home today plug in, - if Home has installed correctly it will be listed in the items list as 'HTC Home'.

HTC Home Vs O2 Today

Hi
I'm brand new here, and I'm hoping this question may have already been asked and answered but...
I have the new Orbit 2 and really much prefer the HTC Home to the o2 Today.
So I installed HTC Home and it works fine but...
I'm not able to control it in the same as this guy can with the TouchFlo...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5olemDlIRI
I'd like to be able to control it in the EXACT same way; I have UltimateLaunch but it doesn't seem to change the whole screen in the way the video does, just the bit at the bottom.
Am I missing some software?
Many, many thanks
Oliver,.
just bumping my question...
I would be very interested in this too as a new owner of an orbit2
Alfie, can you give me any pointers to the HTC Home app please?
The answer to this thread is actually extremely simple. Remove ALL today plugins except for ultimate launcher then add your HTC plugin onto a tab in UL, then create more tabs with icons and such, set the tab gestures to open/perform the desired tasks and lastly set the height of the ultimate launch plugin to be equal to your entire screen size. After you play around for a bit you will understand. Ultimate launch does not use touchflo, it has its own "touchflo" monitor. I have been using a setup like this for a few days now and am quite happy with it. if you search here in the developer section you will see some threads there for "the better cube", "questions about tabbed today" and others. read those and you will be quite happy.
My O2 Orbit2 did not come with HTC Home, any clues as to where I can get this please?

Touch pro keyboard .cab

Anyone have a keyboard cab for the touch pro that you can put on the fuze so you can use the custom roms and have the correct keyboard layout?

Um, what? Why would you want to use an HTC ROM (slowww) when the AT&T ROM is fast? Doesn't make sense, but no, I haven't seen one made yet.
I have a pre-release fuze that I would like to load a custom TP rom on, but I would need a cab file that switches the keyboard to the fuze layout. Something tells me there will be more people looking for it when the fuze is released in the near future. I dont know how easy it would be to extract it from a touch pro rom. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
keyboard cab to use AT&T Fuze ROM on HTC Touch Pro
What about the reverse? does anyone have a keyboard cab to use an HTC Touch branded phone wtih the AT&T Fuze ROM? Or will this work without a keyboard fixup cab?

Trust me, the AT&T ROM is faster than even custom HTC ROMs, but if that's what you wanna do I can't stop you, nor can I help you. I'm sure someone will be able to help eventually, but considering very few people have had the pre-released Fuze, nobody's going to be able to extract it. You may have to wait until release until someone can get the information, or ask someone how you could do it yourself. Good luck.
I have both the fuze and the TP. would be happy to extract it myself if somone could give me a quick lesson. DOnt know if its hidden some where in a cab file or if you have to create your own. If anyone could help I would sure appreciate it.
I ended up creating a fuze keyboard layout for aekmap. It will work until a better alternative surfaces. I thought Id post it if anyone else is interested. Instead of the function key just double press any duall function key to get the alternate value, and the function key is the caps lock key. I hope when the fuze is released a keyboard cab file will surface.
any updates on this? tried doing it myself, but failed... don't know what i'm doing. last major thing with custom rom on my fuze
If you download the file above and the get aekmap (They have a free version) , it works, but the keyboards a little slow, a fuze keyboard cabfile would be a much better option, but until the fuze surfaces on AT&T I doubt there will be to much interest in this.
I am looking for Touch Pro keyboard cab also. I cooked a rom with PPCKitchen and it only has Diamond keyboard and Touch HD keyboard. Diamond keyboard locks up in 123 mode after a few uses and Touch HD keyboard has the annoying UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT line. Does anybody know if that line can be turned off under OPTIONS?
Thanks!
In energy rom there is a program in utilities called keyboard selector and does the job fine. Although i tried to make it easier for you and search for the program and could not find it.
Its called ProFuze and his site is www.rollingtriangle.com but the title says not here. So i'm not sure where u can get it.
Possibly PM NRGZ86 for it

1.Wait for the tap here to customize.
2.Go through the screen alignment
3 skip or set pass word.
4.When it says your done and tap the screen to start WM get ready to reset
5. The absolute second you touch the screen hit the stylus reset.
6. When your device starts TF3d will NOT be in your today Items
7.Go to today settins and disable everything
8.Use file explorer to go to windows and find PT_Manila_Reg .cab and run it
9.Run MSFT_Security.cab
NOTE: The programs will not be organized in folder if you do this. Just a big Programs Folder

Q: TF3D is very slow and laggy. Sometimes it doesn't respond at all.
Install: Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3 and enable various tweaks and also install Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7 and enable the various tweaks to make TF3D faster. If this doesn't work, flash a custom rom and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the links -- hope those programs help!
got another one.....
I get a popup keyboard alot... I installed the null keyboard and it helps but find the bottom bar popping up very annoying.
How do i get rid of that?
i tried a theme called vista ultimate which i liked alot but when i slide the keyboard out it doesnt go to the launcher screen it turns tf3d on its side but of course it doesnt work that way
how do we know which themes will actually work with our pro?
or how do i make the launcher come up with that theme
Good idea:
My Fuze is always connected via EDGE, even though I live in a 3G serviced area (San Francisco Bay Area). I'm assuming the phone is choosing the stronger of the two signals by default, which is fine for voice, but EDGE is excruciatingly slow for streaming video. Is there a way to force the phone to use the 3G connection?

A lot of the diamond themes wont work on the Fuze in landscape mode. I think that Vista Ultimate is one of Nisse's themes so maybe send him a message and see if he has a version for the Fuze.

Make note in the skip the bloat that they must also install the HTC_PPC_opera_9 cab from windows if they want the internet tab of tf3d to work.

As Kraize said most you can find in the thread he linked. However, so far none of the background changing mods have worked foe me. It completely breaks TF3d. I think it will take a few days to figure out this versions backgrounds.
MODS please sticky this. Its already getting insane with Fuze posts.
Has anybody tried to see if they can get the phone unlocked to be used outside of the united states, or to be used on another carrier?

FUZE and VIsta WMDC need help
Just got my fuze last night. Tried installing the software on my laptop - for some reason the WMDC does not recognize the device. Evey time I hook up the fuze the laptop tried to install a driver. NOw my 8525 doesn't work with the laptop too! Any help sorting this all out would be greatly appreciated. I mainly need to get my contacts from the 8525 (running WM5) to the Fuze.
Thanks
Kriaze, Thank you so much for starting this thread. This is going to be so helpfull to all us new Fuze owners. This is why XDA is the GREATEST for us HTC users.
So many thanks to EVERYONE...

I joined this site just for the release of the Fuze/Touch Pro although I'm waiting for Black Friday to purchase. I have 2 questions for those that already have it:
Does the Fuze come with the USB-headphones like the Touch Pro?
If not, would the one from Sprint work?

It does not come with the headphones but does come with an adapter to allow you to use 2.5 and 3.5mm headphones of your choice. It also allows the fm radio to work just fine.
Edit: and yes the sprint headphone will work. They are just the generic htc usb headphones/headset.
Sashimi?
Forgive me as it has been a long time since i have been a part of these forums. When i was using my tilt around the time 6.1 official came out i had sashimi set up perfect for post flashes. I just got my sashimi folder back to where i wanted it to install on the FUZE yet it is erroring out due to screen resolution sizes. Does anyone know if a new version was released to support the vga devices or did this die with the author being banned.... Thanks for the help!

att tf3d sucks

i cant find a manila tf3d cab from a touch diamond pro to put on my fuze i have looked and looked can someone help plezzz
What exactly are you trying to change about TouchFLO?
If you're trying to improve performance, I don't believe there's any advantage to the HTC OEM TF3D vs the AT&T branded one. In fact, installing it again will just take up more memory, which is more likely to decrease performance. Try installing Touch Pro Tweak/Diamond Tweak and using it to tweak TouchFLO for speed.
If you're trying to remove the AT&T tab, there are several Manila (codename for TF3D) customizers which will do this; they also allow you to make other modifications.
If you want a 'better' TF3D, there are TF3D2 "Rhodium Manila" beta cabs sitting around; I don't believe any of them are perfect, but the newer ones seem to be working pretty nicely (i.e. no major usability glitches).
If you really want to improve how the phone works, including how TouchFLO works, you can flash a new ROM. There are dozens of guides floating around on how to do it, and as long as you're careful, the process is reversible so you can still send the phone to AT&T if you have a warranty complaint.
i have the oem for tf3d1 cfc with the original htc theme. you can prolly put it into a cab or grab the files you need or something. im not sure if it will install over. i put it into the kitchen when im building.
i used to have a tilt and i would soft reset it before att would load all their bull i did that on my fuze and tf3d wasn't there thats why i need a tf3d cab i tryed the rhodium cad and every thing didn't work like my email and i want a youtube short cut on the internet tab and the theme sucks i need someone to sit down and show me how to flash a rom i read all the threads about it but im a hands on person so thats where im at on roms
Ok so i can change the theme but its hard finding one that works well i have the HTC black theme but it makes the touchflo run vary vary slow even when i tweak the memory setting but what really want is to get the youtube shortcut on the internet tab can someone help me with that
Look here for several tweaks that will have your phone running like a champ. Mine is like a new phone after going through the thread.
